  1. I typically use a LUT as my base line, and grade from there. I too use iwltbap LUT's, and he has good ones, some I barely have to do any further grading while others will need a bit more. Don't expect to just drop in a LUT and be done. Usually needs some work
  2. I'm still waiting on more 4K overheating tests. That's the only thing really holding me back.
  3. How does the xc10/xc15 image compare to the c100II? This could be an alternate cam from getting a C100mkii
  4. I use the Helios 44-2 with my a6000 and Isco-36, and I still can see swirly bokeh.
  5. Here a more recent update/review on the A6500 I'm not entirely convinced on it just yet, even 2/3 of the sample A6500 still had overheating issues. Although its still pre-production units, it's most likely going to have the same encounters with the production units. I guess we will have to wait and see. For now I have my eye on a second hand A6300.
  6. It's not bad, useable but wish it didn't crop in for 4k. It is what it is, I guess.
  7. There you go, but either way, it's smaller than apsc. Exactly, and how much difference in FOV is it than apsc?
  8. I was very interested in this but the 1.7x crop, no internal log, 10-min 4k clips. Are my main concerns for holding off. Everything else though looks great
  9. GH4 4:3 mode was the option I went, but quickly gave up on that camera. I wasn't happy with the dynamic range, color, and low light. I'm back to apsc on a Sony, and satisfied so far. Start saving again for a 1.5x, I waited quite a long time to get my Isco-36.
  10. Yup, and I prefer x1.5 any day of the week. Unless I can use a 4:3 capable camera, with x2 primes.
  11. I got a bit tired of shooting with 2x and 16:9. I'm happy with a 1.5x on a 16:9, post is easy and don't need to crop the image. Find a quality 1.5x is the only hard part.
  12. It's most likely the Isco-42, and one of the sharpest Isco lens between the 36 and 54. But has far less prominent lens flaring.
  13. Is there confirmation yet if 4K-60p is 10bit-422 internal or external?
  14. In comparison price wise, absolutely Kowa and single focus option is much cheaper.
  15. The image to me looks very GH4 like. I'm not liking the highlight roll off.
  16. Nice app, it's still only exclusive to Panasonic cam's. Has anyone tried it on Sony, etc. Thanks
  17. I just updated it an hour ago, so far so good. But haven't used it extensively to notice any bugs/issues.
  18. Is it worth upgrading though? Coming from an a6000, which I still use.
  19. In that case more people will let go of their epic-x for dragons and do the upgrade path. I assume the Mx series for the epic is done? Unless you can still do epic-mx to epic dragon to weapon helium ?
  20. You could get a decent ready to shoot epic kit for around $10-11k minus lens. But that's still hard to find though, and usually have high hours 700+. I'm sure you'll find one, just keep looking. I had the opportunity to find $7-9k USD just for an epic-x brain. You figure a complete kit for roughly $10k is very good. I'm mostly seeing them though in the $12-16k. I'm sure as more weapons come out, people will be selling off their epic/scarlet. Scarlets are going for a lot less, but with minimal accessories. You can get a scarlet brain for around $3-4k. But again you still need the accessories. You can find a ready to shoot kit, easily around $6-9k. Hold out for the next 6-months or so and you'll find one that fits your budget.
  21. I've been using mine with the Helios 44-2, and a pancake vintage Nikon 50mm. Both are great, the Nikon is much sharper though to me at least.
  22. Hopefully they catch wind of these issues and get it fixed asap.
  23. I did some tests myself as well. And DNxHR-444 only works with MPV. Which I downloaded yesterday as well. While it doesn't work with VLC/QT/MPC-HC
