They are still implementing a Raw codec, just not much info of how that will be yet, but I think they will release something soon. If it gets 15 stops with a Raw codec I will probably bite the bullet and get one. 4K 24p anamorphic sounds like a perfect match or upgrade from the GH5 for me. I would probably keep a GH5 still however just for the IBIS.

You're probably right. I'm also not interested in anything under 2x crop.

With the free 14 I would have some crashes sometimes (not an issue because I save regularly). With free 15 I basically never have crashes and I do a ton of things on my computer at once. In the end though it's free! haha, how could you complain?...

Yes, for me personally as a replacement to GH5, hence my initial statement. P4K with personal caveats listed would add very little to my arsenal and be mostly useless. Also I want to carry less equipment, not more. Anyone who travels a lot to do their work will know how I feel about that, carrying more gear is painful. I would still think about buying if it were triple the price (I doubt those features would be much over double though), if you take current camera prices such as GH5 into consideration, also taking their huge margins into consideration. I don't see why you would suddenly need to pay triple for some weather sealing and a flipy screen hahaha.

I know, there's also not many cameras that shoot Raw at a decent size and weight (DSLR size). 7D and 5D with ML were amazing, but I'd like something that does 4K raw in 4:3 aspect in that same size and weight... If the GH5 shot Raw it would be my perfect camera almost. Maybe Pana will deliver with their FF offering.

I'm not saying it's a bad camera, quite the opposite, but for my line of work I need something else. Things I'd ideally like - 1. I need it to be sealed enough to shoot at a beach (that's where I do my work), exposed fan intake is a big no go. 2. Ibis would help a ton, although I could live without it. 3. I'd like 4:3 mode. 4. Anamorphic de-squeeze if possible. 5. Tilt or flip screen for filming fisheye low down. 6. Form factor I could fit in my existing Aquatech housing if possible (same one I use for 7D, 5D, GH5, EOS elan7e). Those are a few of the things I can think of. I don't even need a 5D styled body, I could live without that part if they added the other things. I'd pay an extra 1000AUD for such features.

Think you're all missing the point of these videos... The purpose (as far as I understand) was for interested parties on their FB group to check the footage and give feedback to Zcam, they are not an example of a finished product and have never been promoted as such. But since 3-4 people on EOSHD think it's a bad idea their product is probably doomed .

24-105 f4 IS is a solid all-rounder. 35 or 55 on the long end isn't very long...

Some of the other tests on their FB page look promising for the price IMO. Test them for yourself and see what the files are like. Lots of information in the shadows, much better DR than Panasonic IMO. Keen to see how a Raw output would perform. People blowing off a camera because one clip/s look bad is pretty funny IMO. I could find you thousands of bad clips shot with similar spec cameras... I guess that means they suck as well .

Same for me most of the time. Sometimes it shits the bed all together and will just never stop "buffering".
