Yep, that's one nice bonus of the GH5s! Perhaps a tad nicer colour as well.
-
Yep. No 6K on the GH5s unfortunately. One of the draw cards for GH5 anamorphic shooters I guess.
-
Nice and sharp! Not sure about the GH5s but on GH5 you can shoot 8 or 10bit 4K 4:3, or 6K 4:3 24/30fps. I assume on the GH5s you could also shoot 10bit 4K 4:3 24/30fps.

Lots of Skaters still shoot with Sony VX1(/2)000s, check this dudes instagram, he repairs them and does cool paint jobs on them, pretty rad. https://www.instagram.com/aaronburgundy/

@Andrew ReidEarly 2000's is kind of a trend already, at least in Skateboarding, which is where a huge majority of clothing/aesthetic trends start out in some form or another. 2000's clothing is real big right now and so are shitty digital cameras (actually that last might be on the way out already too be honest, there was a period 3-4 years ago where handy cam was right in for a bit).

I wasn't necessarily talking about hybrids. This camera (if it lives up to the claims) punches well above it's weight/price and could give us a better chance of getting similar competitive products from the other brands (if it does really well). I'd love a product like this from Canon as an example.
-
Certainly. Brands have been setting themselves up for failure by holding back features in certain price ranges. It only takes someone like Z-Cam to disrupt that, they could really shake up the entire market if they pull it off. Great news for independent filmmakers.
-
Z-cam have nothing to protect. If they can pull it all off with a decent colour science I will adopt one for sure. They have also mentioned they will include anamorphic shooting modes which is great. If they deliver what they promise and word starts getting around I think other manufacturers could have some trouble in that price range.
-
Sorry, I must have mistaken all your previous posts. Great job.
-
Oh in that case... perpetuate away!
-
I can't be bothered reading all this cr@p, but anyone who repeatedly brings up a "rumour" with zero proof to it's existence, either has something against whatever it is, or is an idiot (possibly both). It's pretty childish to perpetuate rumours, if you were ever on the receiving end of such a situation you would understand why.
-
It is most certainly a rumour unless proven otherwise. I see no evidence what so ever to suggest they are re-housed projection lenses... Atlas even provided us with early stage prototyping videos where he's grinding his own glass.
-
Can't say I'm really seeing the resemblance.
-
I think the guy that designed the Atari 2600 designed this.

Sony FS5 II announced with 4K 120fps RAW recording at NAB 2018

So much potential. 10-bit 4K 60p internal with that form factor would have been mighty useful. -
Just stop. You're all arguing pointlessly about nothing, lets not let this forum dip to such lows. This thread should go in the bin.
-
@Matthew Hartman No thank you! For keeping this forum entertained .

hahahaha is that you Ebrahim Saadawi???

I really like the SMCs, still flare plenty imo. As we've said though, all personal choice.

A 16mm Kowa and a HCDNA is known as a "best" combo because it's widely talked about and everyone just wants to shoot instead of wasting time experimenting. I can tell you now, that although it's a good combo, there's many other scopes out there that are as good and better for a fraction of the price. I think the same is true with taking lenses, the most talked about ones have been driven up in price, but there's tons out there that will work as good or better if you do some searching. Hey you might even find a combo that gives you a look different to that of the norm . As said earlier, what camera, sensor and look you're going for all play a huge part, there's no definitive answer to which taking lenses are "cleaner or better" without knowing the other variables.
-
I'm pretty sure they exist, just that they are rare to find and only come up so often. If not though just get the Computar 1.5x above.
-
Why not get the fujinon 1.4x c-mount extender?

Looks alright, but it's not exactly a high contrast scene. I'd like to see how it goes on a sunny day.
