Any info on the Canon mirrorless FF cam? Or is this just rumours you think?
-
You can buy them on Ebay still, the problem is that the quality of the glass is pretty crap, hence the reason why I'm going to make my own out of an E-mount LTii.
-
Not sure I need it to be honest, I have about 3K of anamorphics already haha. Also 1.5x isn't that appealing to me, I'd still love to get a 1.75x though. What are the flares like? I've heard they are pretty subdued, the flares on the isco S8 aren't too bad.
-
It probably has a little for sure, but I've never noticed shots where it's a problem for me. I guess I'm not pulling focus a huge amount when I shoot with that lens though, I have primes that I use more for that style.
-
I used to use the 17-55 on the eos m with canon EF adapter (also Vlitrox). It's just a pass-through, there's no reason why any lens shouldn't work.
-
I already said above - It works fine.
-
I already own it .
-
Yeah the 24-70 is a bit better, but the range for me of the 24-105 is killer, you can basically walk around with just that one lens. I shoot it at 105 a lot.
-
I remember these two lenses selling on Ebay a little while back . If this were a 2x stretch it would be black magic.
-
Yes. Everything works as normal, fit is tight, obviously AF is slower than a mirrored body. I'm going to build a custom EF-M speed booster soon with a Lens Turbo ii and the EF adapter combined. Will post it up here when I'm done, I just got another original M for 100bucks new after my first finally died, such a good priced camera.
-
This will never get old, he will be an on-going joke as long as this forum exists.
-
I have that and the 24-105. In my opinion the 24-105 is a much better lens. 17-55 is alright, certainly usable, but I don't use it much anymore. (I'm shooting mostly APS-C).

And EXECEPT that E-mount actually has a better focal flange distance and width to adapt C-mounts and all other lenses... EF-M mount is also better. No big deal though I guess, not like anybody here does that (sarcasm). Also I doubt anyone cares much about native (sterile) MFT lenses if they're using a S35 sensor. I'm pretty sure no-one buying an Ursa-mini is at all worried about that.
-
Yep i also used to use this mode a lot on the original M when it came out, which is cool because you can also use tiny C-mount lenses. Noise is increased quite a lot, but if you have good lighting I think the image is certainly better.
-
I tested it on the 7D, worked much better than Cinestyle from what I could see, worked great with the C-log luts I already had also. Good work!
-
Just purchased, will test on eos m and 7d against Cinestyle.
-
I realise, just pointing out m43 isn't even that adaptable compared to alternatives already existing.
-
E-mount would be better than m43, shorter flange distance, easier to adapt lenses. But I agree a whole new mount could be cool if it's swapable.

Spot on @Andrew Reid.

I'd also say his post read fairly restrained as far as forum rabble goes. I can't say the same however for the posters he is arguing against, who obviously have some kind of problem with BM for some reason or another... I mean as you said Ed, who cares where the sensor comes from if the image is good, it's irrelevant, the only people who find that relevant are the people trying to shine a bad light on BM for some reason. As much as I value your word Ed, this topic was geared negatively by you from the start, and all because you saw some problems with a BM display model? I don't doubt BM aren't the highest quality camera producer out there, but the reason the quality is what it is, is because they sell at the price they are (which is what many of us want). Honestly if you want to write a thread about a camera company going out of existance because you saw a faulty product on display, I could almost write a whole book about all the shity/ faulty Sony products I've seen my friends and family encounter... doesn't mean they are packing up ship.
-
I might try this on the 7D just for kicks. Would be cool to be able to use LUTs for C-Log as well.
-
Colour, resolution, viewing angle... it's a cheap POS.
-
I can shoot with all my scopes at 35mm on the 7D in 4:3 Raw. On the Elmoii I can even use a 28mm.
-
Precisely. IF ML crack it (which is still a big if), it has almost no scope for being better than Raw on the MKiii... Raw on the MKiii exists right now, so why worry about such things? The MKiii is also half the price. We get it, everyone wants some magic hack for their camera to materialise, but waiting hopelessly in vein is just wasting time that could be used better with what you already have/ what is already possible.
