Also curious bout western union money pick up policy. That should narrow the search down quite considerably. So you need a passport or drivers license. How easy is it to forge this in Egypt? I am going to assume it is easy? And finally for me then im out.... Why didnt the person also steal a camera? Why not just leave it as an online scam? As the scammer said...legally the scam would hold up in court. Stealing a 24k camera....thats easy grounds for arrest. In egypt! Im sure those jails are not fun. Still too many weird holes for me. I agree - this shouldn't be a lynch mob. You are right - I'm getting too into it. I apologize. Ebhahim should refund the money if he wants to do the right thing, and hopefully have his son or whomever shares his name or created a fake ID or whatever weird scenario exists where the person knows his password and the keys to his closet reemburse him And this is a hard lesson learned - do not use western union. It was a scam. And we are now aware of this. I hope Senior figures out who did this, maybe with the help of Junior! And then all is resolved.

Questions: 1. Do Saadawi senior and junior share the exact same name? How else did this "scammer" take out the money from western union if it requires an ID? 2. Older people, at least in Western culture, never boast about how much money they make. Especially not a radiologist. This leads me to believe it's not Senior who wrote that email. 3. Does anyone know Saadawi in real life? 4. Can we verify his information - that he works at that university? 5. When you get a PM on EOSHD, doesn't it go straight to your email? Unless someone disabled this. 6. How many people have access to his gear closet? 7. In the facebook enchange, he says he has a law background. Probably lying. Timotheus, if you don't get your money back in 5 days and if there is no further attempt to get your money back, I will personally look into this more. Maybe hire a private investigator. BUT IN all honesty, file a police report where you are, and in Egypt. It's a scam worth $2000. His selling reputation globally is now compromised. And soon maybe the university is going to start to find out

That was about domestic violence charges coming forward from two women - an ex-fiance and ex-girlfriend. That was a serious issue. here's details on him - the younger one at least - goes to the Faculty of Dentistry Lives in Mansoura, Egypt His dad seems to be a radiologist (physician) Makes sense, the younger one couldn't cut it in med school, so goes to dentist school. I think using this info and geotagging facial recognition software with all his photos you can find his friends and then find him. He doesn't work professionally in film, so he has no reputation to keep there. So all you can do is embarass him at his school and his dental practice if he has one and then shame him with his father and his business and probably find the whole family. I'm probably guessing his dad doesn't know this is giong on, so reach out to the dad on nofilmschool and find other ways to contact the dad. Unless there is an explanation. But anyway, you can ruin his reputation and really embarass the shit out of him with his dad. also readout time is different than how each camera interpolates shutter - unless it's a mechnical shutter, it is electronically recreating a spinning shutter with exposure and darkness. That's, I think, were each camera interprets motion differently. But I think I'm probably wrong about that, too.

get a red one mx and call it a day. i have 2. fincher and me both prefer the look of the red one mx over the red epic mx. and the dragon sensor I think is beige and just weird looking. now that 4k is standard and so is raw, I really don't see them lasting too much longer as a company. You can't just keep promising future cameras and then when they come out, have them be in poor shape. it doesn't work. and especially since the alexa mini is as small as a red now, there is even less need as a niche VFX camera, sure.

graded some stills from CML to me c300 has the best skin tones - this is from the sony f55 - fs7's big brother but now it's a question of how does the motion feel? That's the big thing for me - does it feel choppy even at 24fps 180 shutter? and finally, is the Ursa mini 4.6k ready for prime time yet?

who cares what super 8 looks like now - it's mostly an image in our heads. It's all psycosemantic. As long as you like the look, thats good, whether or not it confirms to "reality"
