I pretty much only shoot handheld and I love it lol ! I guess more and more people are going for the handheld look because of the energy it brings to images. It feels real. It puts you in the moment

??? sounding a lot like alternative facts but ok. I'll do my own research cause that sounds very hard to believe. If this is true then that means even if I stop the lens down, use a higher shutter speed & shoot at base ISO camera movement is dropping resolution. So that means moving objects lose resolution as well even if the camera is on a tripod. That alone makes that statement unbelievable. another point : the purpose of a camera is to record light. If light moves faster than sound then it moves faster than your handheld movement. So there's no way handheld movement can decrease the resolution of a device used to record light. Thats is physically impossible with a shutter speed recording light 1/50 of a second !

This is the first time I've heard camera movement impacting the resolution of either the lens or the camera. Can you explain how camera movement affects 4k resolution ?

@Phil A sony is a great system to invest into they just come out with too many bodies too quickly. After using all these lines im sticking with Panasonic. I like the look of their leica branded lenses like the 15 and the 42.5 although I wouldn't mind having their 12mm as my one and only

I too am thinking about it. The only issue with native glass is that you get tied down to one system

nah, I heard good things about it but I haven't tested the leeming lut but I have tested CINED. I've decided to not use cined and to go with Natural instead. The trade off between image quality and dynamic range is not worth it using CINED. It destroys tonality even at default settings and it has extremely weird shifts in its color channel. CineV or Natural are the two best profiles

Lmao thank you ! I have a lot more on my instagram IG : kidzrevil Honestly its been my go to. Im really questioning why I own these other Nikkors lol

I use between 1-2. I use the satin when I want the specular highlights to bloom like a pro mist and I use the black satin for an effect closer to a black pro mist Nikkor 28mm f2.8 ais + Speedbooster XL I love this combo

CInema5D's test are unfortunately the prime example of why you have to rent (if you can) before you buy. I remember when they rated the Samsung NX1 as one of the worst cameras ever and I personally can atest to its image quality. Like what everyone else said they did the test wrong...I would listen to James Milllers assessment instead.

yeah I was thinking about the leica 15mm and the 25mm and eventually work my way up the 42.5mm f1.2 I may keep those at rental suggestions because I am getting good results using nikkor ais lenses. They are full frame so I don't see any vignette but ocassionally the ibis does reveal some weird corner distortion but thats rare

@jpfilmz 4k !

Nah just a 1DC ! Those cameras draw too much attention and require rigging. Not my style

thank you ! I used filmconvert and osiris luts. The picture profile is C-Log overexposed 1 to 3 stops

last thing I shot with the xc10 before I sold it
