    One Lens?

The voigtlanders f0.95 lenses were the best I used on m43. No adapted lens came close. Didnt try out the 10mm though so idk about that one

    One Lens?

The voigtlander 35mm f1.2 for Leica M mount. I felt like I lost a loved when I got rid of it lmao
  3. @SMGJohn yeah its too much for my system I have to transcode to dnxhd or prores
  4. @caseywilsondp @SMGJohn Also keep in mind the image was already rock solid to begin with so its hard to see unless you know what to look for. First thing I looked for was compression artifacts and couldnt find em for the life of me. Even shooting externally to prores is a compressed codec. H.265 is just a very effecient compressed codec. We've seen the jump in 1080 quality we got from the bitrate or as Samsung called it "increased data output" with the firmware updates. The effect is very real
  5. @outerbeat very true. H265 has a lot of advantages and it is evident even back when Samsung increased bitrates with their firmware updates. Shooting with a LUT would be a great step towards squeezing more out of the NX1. I can imagine visioncolor making a LUT for the NX1 hack and really taking it to the next level
  6. @outerbeat damn those images are incredibly detailed ! I think the next priority for this hack since the bitrate update is a major success should be getting MJPEG instead of h.265 to be output. If not the LUT thing I mentioned earlier would be a serious game changer :-D
  7. @Bioskop.Inc definitely agree with you, it works better for me to get as much done in camera as possible, especially since I shoot using an 8bit dslr ! I refuse to shoot without filter and I have fell victim to buying a bunch without testing but its cool cause each filter looks different on varying lenses.
  8. would be dope if we could get the camera to load a LUT instead of a picture profile. I mean if we can't get raw maybe we can get the image processing to use a LUT and then give us a h.265 image straight to the card ? That would be incredible, we could make LUT's to give us our own LOG profiles etc.
  9. I just took some test shots at 200 mbps and wow. I am blown away at how functional and intuitive the gui is. It is incredibly easy to change the bitrates and the payoff in image quality makes it a no brainer to install. This definitely needs a bit more attention than it is getting because this will do for the nx1 what raw did for the 5D. @outerbeat @vasile
  10. do you guys prefer resolve for editing and gradinig over premiere ? I never used it before but I am interested @Zach Goodwin @Geoff CB
  11. I downloaded the pack bro, how do I modify the bitrate ? @outerbeat
  12. I use either the tiffen black satin or black pro mist 1/4-1/2. I like the highlight rolloff of the diffusion, it helps control contrast a lil as well. Mild gaussian blur helps with the potential sharpening artifacts
  13. @caseywilsondp disagree. The bitrate hack definitely increases the quality of the video. H.265 is still a compressed image but at bitrates as high as 180 mbps the codec performs much better
  14. What version of the hack and what card are you using ? The highest I can go while maintaining stability is 150
  15. Thank you ! I used the visioncolor impulz & osiris luts I wish I could use 180mbps like the other guys but so far even the 1080p at 150mbps looks phenomenal
  16. @outerbeat I rarely shoot beyond a 5 minute take so I wouldn't know. Havent noticed any change of temperature with how I shoot though
  17. I regraded the video. This time I removed the film grain for better compression and added a slight gaussian blur to alleviate the sharpness. Definitely gave me a new love for the nx1
  18. 150 mbps is the sweet spot imo. No lag & nearly twice the stock bitrate. I own the lexar 2000x 64gb
  19. Thank you ! I don't own any S lenses just some Zeiss glass. Definitely considering picking up their 40mm for run & gun though :-) luckily this is just a test...dont need stabilization here and it helps shows the retention of detail that would otherwise be lossed shooting handheld with a compressed codec
  20. without the hack I would've panicked if I had to push the saturation and shadows so far ! I purposely used a contrasty (but great) profile like gamma c to test the bitrate stuff out. Foliage is still difficult to deal with on this camera because it gets super sharpened but the issues with footage have been resolved for the most part as well I shift my hue towards magenta that's why the color looks like this. Shifting towards green creates a more realistic look in the blue channel but it can leave skintones looking sony green. I personally like the color...looks more analog to me. I don't think the camera gets increased DR at all. The camera always had decent DR, its no SLOG but it gets criticized too harshly in the DR department. So far all I think the increased bit rate is doing is help the camera retain details that h.265 and noise reduction would otherwise smear away
  21. @vaga yeah no DIS. Its cool but I think I am seeing dropped frames here I am not sure. I just installed 150mbps on the cam and it seems to be completely stable. I'm settling on 150mbps here is the ungraded version
  22. are you guys noticing any dropped frames ? This is at 160 mbps
  23. 160mbps with heavy grading and no noise reduction. I was trying to see if I can push the Samsung nx1 to macroblocking with a heavygrade. No macroblocking, so far so good. Let me know if you notice anything odd
  24. I am going to try and totally factory reset the settings on my camera and see what happens
  25. will try that and I will also push the bitrate to 180 and see what results I get. I'm praying it works flawlessly cause I have a paid gig I wanna use this on ! Felt like a new camera when I looked at the files man
