  1. Merry Christmas to the whole EOSHD Forum crew! i shot this little christmas film on the blackmagic pocket 6K pro with the Sigma 16-35 and the laowa probe. As it borrowed all the Lego models, the camera (thanks to Impossiple Filmproduction in Hamburg) the probe it was a whole lot of production time. Also it took quite long to set the whole thing up. Of course i wanted to tell little stories with the lego figures, but time became tooooo tight and it took me several attempts to find a lighting situation that would work. Of course the scene would have also been much greater if i had more of the practical lamps.I looked for small lights around the house and now there is a variety of lamps inside the houses. You can fiddle around with the lighting for ages! i definitelely had the feeling i had to stop when i was just getting started. This might also be a fun thing to just shoot on an iphone.. Hopefully next year... And of course i would be happy if you would show the film to your children, share it and like and comment and follow my channel on youtube... And to show the improvement i am also putting in the first LIL chilltrain Christmas movie from two years ago.
  2. Sorry, somehow i cannot delete the upper comment.
  3. Thank both of you very much for your feedback! Used the Sigma 18-35 1.8 lens on this shoot. The whole thing was shot in 3 hours with available light. I used the Tiffen black Promist 1/8 Filter and in the celar we added some Aerosol spray that i had still lying around. The oil lamp is actually a led light which was great as it has a dimmer- but i am very happy the tiffen hides the center of light so heavy. Of course it would hav been even greater if the led in the oil lamp could have been set to some kind of flicker mode .

  5. Check out this video for Captain Gips: Shot on Blackmagic with the trusted Sigma 16-35 and all the exteriour shots on the iphone on a gimbal. I would love to see what an experienced grader could get out of the Gopro 11 - would be great to have a camera that i could hand out to my clients so they can take some shots during their travels. Sadly the Iphone was set to HD and 29 fps when they were filming this - but on the other hand they did some good camera moves...
  6. Has anyone here actually used the R7? Specs work for me but my main question is wether it's fun to use!

    Fuji X-H2S

I am really wondering why all these films showing the fuji have these muted colours. This look was supercool when the XT4 arived but has been used extensicely by the instagram crowd. I would love to see an example of a classical high key shot such as the "classical family on the beach at full sunlight commercial look" . It's all about the skintones.
  8. Hey, check out this little video i shot on the Blackmagic Pocket 6K Pro ( except the first Shot in the Video, that one is A7III) .
  9. Who finds the shots that were shot on iphpne 13...
  10. Thanks, that's a great idea and might have even added to the summer feeling of the song - even though i was happy that i got some nice summer colours out of the fX3 - that would not have been possible with the a7iii i used before.
  11. Check out this music video shot on a variety of cameras...
  12. Check out this Music Video i shot on the FX3. The Camera is a massive upgrade to the A7iii. In Postproduction it was pretty easy to improve the lighting due to the 10 bit and it was finally possible to shot nice summer wether with Sony. But then you upload it to Youtube and the compression messes it all up... Check it out! Looking forward to your feedback! Of course it would really help the artist if you would comment or like on youtube.
  13. A new set of 1.5 anamorphics... https://www.pstechnik.de/lenses/technovision-lenses
  14. P.S. Can you upload it to vimeo or maybe even send a link ? Would love to see it without the nasty youtube compression.
  15. Wow very cinematic! Did you use a black Promist? Or added the glow in Resolve? Grab an actor make a short!
  16. Heyho, one year ago Grimes dropped some greenscreen footage on the internet and asked everyone to create their own music video. We did a remix and used Unreal engine and after effects to create the following video. As these were our first steps into the realm of Unreal engine and keying there are some quirks ( sh**tty keys = sh*ddy kiez) but overall it's really incredible what can be done on a basic computer today. I guess that lighting and vfx work is really where it's at now and the camera is not the bottleneck anymore - of course this does not go for the Documentary Filmer or Wild life photgrapher. Nevertheless check it out...
  17. Wow, active facecooling - GAMECHANGER!
  18. Hey everyone thank you very much for all your replies! These are the insights i was looking for. I guess i will do some tests before starting the project! Best regards, Chrille
  19. Hello, i am planning to shoot a little action oriented short this summer and i am thinking about doing so with the Blackmagic Production Camera. That little brick that offers 4K and a global shutter. It seems to be quite quiet around that camera. So i would love to hear wether anyone still uses it regularly. I believe most of the limitations are based on the limited dynamic range ( which might really be bad in the Hamburg mixture of (a bit of ) sunshine and (lots of) rain in the summer). I am aiming to finalize a 2K master so i do not need crispiest 4K around. I am also very interested wether somebody used it on an ronin-sc Gimbal. So i would really like to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance!
  20. Check my latest Musicvideo for the wonderful "Ducks on Drugs" Shot on A7iii in HLG2. Was very happy how natural the material looked compared to Slo2 , of course had to ramp up the colours for the final rendering.
  21. Check out this little Gangsta rap video - A7III / Ronin SC / Chamaeleon Optics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi70p8ufYcE
  22. Some Weeks ago i had the pleasure to shoot a cowboy themed project for DUCKS ON DRUGS. Animals, Children, Actionscenes - you name it! Any feedback is welcome.
  23. Here is a new video shot on the Sony A7iii and the Zeiss 20mm noctilux. A really nice lens that really takes some of that sony videolook off the material. It's the first time i experienced the "lines" problem of the A7iii. In quite a lot of shots you see steady "zebra" lines all over the picture. I shot some material without fog and some with fog and the shots with fog showed the problem very strong. As i shot the material quite flat the stripes did not show very well and i thought they were a problem of monitoring in the dark surrounding. It seems that one of the lights is working on another frequency. In retrospect it might have helped to change the shutter speed but as that would have add the potential to get problems with other lights. After adding contrast the problem kicked in quite heavily. I might have the possibility to upload some ungraded material later on. Looking at the big screen i would also have loved to work on 10 bit material as the artifacts started popping up quite heavily. Luckily the artist was looking for a "rough look" so it was okay. As usual i am looking forward to feeback and would be happy for things to improve!
