I'd like it but I cannot afford it... so I will go with GH5 for sure, but G80' stabilized body would be nice if HDMI works At the end - money apart - I understood love to shoot in the most simple way I can. So "size matters"

Do you know if it can send HDMI signal while recording internally? In that case it would be an instant substitute for the G7 I have as 2nd body.

My Review of the New Zhiyun Crane-M 3-Axis Gimbal

Mattias, which kind of batteries (and how to recharge them) are on both the Crane and the Crane M? -
I would start with a Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 and a 50mm f/1.8 or better 1.4. With this two lenses on a Lumix G6 I made this video. You just need a cheap baionette converter such as this on: https://www.amazon.it/Adattatore-Obiettivo-Anello-Olympus-DC156/dp/B009ZCDBP0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477249503&sr=8-1&keywords=fd+m43 If you prefer old M42 lenses like Zeiss search for an adapter like this: https://www.amazon.it/micro-adattatore-montaggio-Panasonic-Olympus/dp/B0042SW6YY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1477249503&sr=8-2&keywords=fd+m43

Do you know if there are 2 different models? I saw 2 different colors on Amazon and on Movofilms: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B01B167CXY/ref=pd_sim_sbs_421_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RFTAHGTTVG7RMHK5DS60 https://www.movofilms.be/beholder-ds1-3-axis-gimbal-camera-stabilizer.html Is the battery problematic to recharge? Thank you!

Thank you! It is a little bit more difficult to find (here in Europe) then Ikan DS1, but it seems to have a more serious customer service... On the other side DS1 seems also good... someone says it is noisy and a little shaky, but I saw some clips and they seems quite similar... I really don't know what to do Anyway I cannot afford C100MkII, so I will go with GH5 when it will be ready and GH4 for now.
-
Maybe I'm going for a cheaper pistol grip one... Any experiences with Came Single, Zhiyun Crane, Pilotfly H2? Any better then Ikan DS1? Or do you suggest the good old Glidecam (HD200 or 4000)? p.s.: I mostly want to shoot tracking shots with that, since I'm quite happy to precede and follow actors with my shoulder rig.
-
Has DJI a better customer service? In that case I could try with that and an external monitor...
-
You remember well: I just loved my MiniSturdyflight, but it can carry 1.3-1.5 Kg, so no bigger combo then GH4 and Olympus 12-40 or similar. Every time I wanted to switch to a CY Zeiss I had to mechanically rebalance it and it was quite annoying. miniSturdyflight quality is very good and it is stabile, but I'd like to find something that is easier to balance when switching lenses and possibly something that could carry an eventual bigger camera. Thank you! Thank you! Maybe I have to learn to shoot with a Glidecam... But I think that it would be quite difficult for lateral movements following the subject from the side...

So, with GH4 (and probably GH5 I will buy) what would you buy? A Ronin or a DS1 (or similar) gimbal?
-
What about Ikan DS1? Better or worse then Ronin M?
-
I had the 2nd one. I used few times with my GH4, but I sold it since it was not really well balanced. At the end I've bought this one that is very good and cheap if you consider you have a good follow focus, a cage etc...: https://www.movofilms.be/movofilms-professional-camera-support-kit.html If you need less things there is also this one: https://www.movofilms.be/filmcity-fc-10w-shoulder-rig-with-counterweight-453.html Hope that helps...

Beautiful images and editing! How to do that kind of montage?
-
Yes... But I have not enough money at the moment Yes, but here there are a lot of skilled people that I can trust more then an online review...
-
Dear all, I sold some things I had in order to raise some money for a gimbal that it is quick to balance and easy to operate. I mostly shoot with GH4 and G7, I had a MiniSturdyFlight, very good pistol gimbal, but I search something that could hold also a C100 MkII... What about Ronin M? Is it easy to balance? Does it need and external monitor or it is possible to see the camera's LCD? Have you some suggestions? Thank you very much!
-
I would buy the C100 MkII: it is a complete system with ND filter, audio inputs, good log codec etc...
-
G7 would be perfect (I own it one that I use next to GH4), the only thing I don't like is the 28 mbps 1080, the focus peaking (the one one GH4 is far better, at least on the camera I have), the HDMI out... for the rest is an awesome 4K camera, the 4K codec is indistinguishable from the GH4's one.
-
GH4 has also a nice HDMI output that works both for monitoring and recording out. You can use the G7 HDMI out only for recording. Having the HDMI also for monitoring is good when you want to pull focus in an external monitor.
-
I sold it when I noticed it and I took the 12-40, really great all-round lens.
-
Olympus 12-40 f/2.8 and 40-150 f/2.8 are awesome on GH4 / G7.
-
Very good quality! I only see some jerky movements here and there with slow motion, especially when the camera is pointed down (but maybe it is the compression from youtube) and some strange reflections when backlight, for the rest it is really impressive!
-
To me it is pretty good! The shot on the roof shows that moire is not too severe... so it is already a good point in my opinion. Two days ago I shot a music video and there was also an operator with his Phantom 3 Pro, it seems more "digital" to me from the shots I have from it.
-
I want it!
-
I have both G7 and GH4: the G7 cannot recording internally while monitoring, the GH4 can. So you have to buy an external monitor/recorder in order to use it with the G7. I'm selling a brand new (never used) Blackmagic Video Assist 5" monitor/recorder, if you need it I'm here. I could be interested in the Aputure if it is the FineHD model.
