We all have confirmation bias and confirm what we are programmed to confirm. Trump, Biden, Harris, Obama, Bush, the Clintons all play for the same team. That's what they all laughed when Trump said I ran into Hillary and she said pardon me - they are not putting each other in jail - they know the joke is on the common person. We need to get to the montage scene in our own personal movies where we realize what is closer to the true: Programming equals profit for the powers that be and we are all programmed and pitted against each other and we actually have more in common than we are programmed to believe. This is the decision tree for me - if you believe that the current administration does not have your best interests in mind you vote for Trump. I am not a fan of Gaetz and don't think he will get confirmed - he is an embarrassment and will be a source of division and controversy, if confirmed. As for Bannon, he deserved to go to jail for not complying with the two subpoenas from Congress, so hopefully this will be the standard going forward, so Congress can get to the bottom of whatever they're investing in the future. Regarding tariffs - it has to be combined with other incentives to on shore jobs as it did not work in isolation the first time around. So you are correct tariffs alone with not solve the problem of bring back job to the US. Regarding mass deportation of illegal immigrants - there are economic costs due to accommodating millions of new illegal immigrants. (Congress.gov) So illegal immigrants are not a net benefit to the tax payer, you either pay through inflation or you pay through taxation and/or debt. Just because the majority of voting Americas voted for Trump, does not make them conservatives or right wingers. Many of them simply voted against Harris, just as people voted against Trump in 2020. Picking the lesser of two evils is what it comes down to in American politics today and not some type of ideological victory as the media would have you believe. So when I encounter liberals - I happen to rent a room from one. When we actually talk about the issues, it turns out we have more in common as Americans than the media would have us believe. All these labels do is divide people... I'm pretty sure the hierarchy of needs is something like shelter, food, and sex rather than "believe what I believe or we can't work together to help each other get our common needs meet"... I bet if an artist would drawn/created/made and photographed a model of a dystopian cityscape in rust colored smog/fog, and fed it into AI as reference to generate their final image even if it look similar to BR2049, Tesla would have had a better case for not breaking copyright law. It will be interesting to see the outcome of this case as maybe Tesla is intentionally pushing the limits on this to get a ruling that might favor AI generating content in regards to referencing copyrighted content... I had an URSA Mini Pro 4.6k that shot Cinema DNG and BRAW (a firmware upgrade discontinued Cinema DNG). The BRAW was slightly less resolved with a slight color shift compare to the Cinema DNG. Once color corrected I did not notice which shots were which on YouTube. From the online comparison between BRAW and Pro Res RAW it seems that Pro Res RAW has a finer noise structure, which makes the Pro Res RAW slightly better looking IMHO. BRAW at higher resolutions like with the URSA 12k shooting 8k resolution, I have no complaints unless I don't provide enough light, then I see the slight limitations of BRAW as compared to Pro Res RAW.

I went on vacation and didn’t bring my GH6. I used my iPhone 15 for photos and video instead. Even if I would have brought the GH6 I would not have been prepared to shoot my friend’s kit boarding lessons from a lawn chair under a palm tree on the beach with a 15x zoom that I didn’t think to bring. Could I have maybe captured it better with the right lens on the GH6 - sure! Did he care - nope he like it so much he asked me to airdrop the videos to his iPhone as we were driving to the airport. For me getting the shot is as important as getting the perfect shot. And in the near future just getting the shot will lead good enough results with the help of AI. With less demand it is inevitable the lenses prices will fall until of course when there is a time when no one makes lenses anymore and ten years go by and the prices of lenses will start to go up and up…

As 2/3" sensors cameras like the F23 were mentioned. It is possible to optically adapted B4 lens with a B4 to PL mount adapter like the Abakus 321 adapter to cover the super 16 sensor crop 4k mode of GH5, GH6, GH7 (you would use a PL to m4/3 to mount it on the GH). You could also shoot on a number of Blackmagic cameras with a Blackmagic B4 Optical Adapter... there was a company who was using the optics of the Blackmagic B4 mount as the optics of their B4 to m4/3 adapter. Or you could make one of your own out of the Blackmagic B4 mount a m4/3 adapter and spacers and step rings and drill press and screws, nut and washers are required. The thing about 2/3 zoom lenses is because of the typical 10x to 12x zoom range you can have a dramatic depth of field decrease when zooming in with a constant aperture B4 lens. The following video has a mix of a Broadcast zoom lens, Sony full frame and Canon aps-c shots. All of the slow motion and zooming is via a B4 broadcast zoom lens (I don't think I had the 2x internal extender engaged on the B4 lens on the USRA 12k in Super 16 crop mode.) Sometimes you can see the vignetting, which I chose over less light as the 240fps really cuts the available light... and the 2x extender would have cut it in half again. Thanks! Mark

At the end of 2023 I purchased a Shogun Connect that turned in to a Shogun Ultra with a firmware upgrade. I don't really use the connect feature but I like Atomos focus peaking and I like the look of the screen more than the Blackmagic Video Assist. I also did not think that the BRAW was that much of an improvement over the internal GH6 codec. I do think that Pro Res RAW would be a step up if recording to 5.7k 60p in Pro Res RAW from the GH6, if only Blackmagic would support it natively with Resolve. Hopefully one day, but I imagine from watching the video that Atomos is one of the reasons Resolve will never natively support Pro Res RAW. BTW - Blackmagic I would rather pay you $100 to use Pro Res RAW in Resolve than pay for a third party for a license to transcode Pro Res RAW to Cinema DNG. Anyway, despite the controversy, I like what I am seeing to Shogun Connect/Ultra screen and metal case seems solid, but I am not a fan of the internal fan...

Cool - I try to accomplish the same thing with GH6 in 1.4x crop mode. I would like to see them head to head to judge the dynamic range and color rendition.

The distance of the exit pupil from the sensor plane can affect image quality. When the exit pupil is closer to the sensor/focal plane, the angles of incidence at the extreme edges of the field become higher, possibly leading to pixel vignetting, depending on the sensitivity of the digital sensor to the angle of incidence. You could fix this with vignetting compensation, you could also fix barrel distortion with a small lighter lens design. If you had enough resolution and dynamic range you could put the exit pupil even closer to the sensor plane and then compensate for it when making the smallest, lightest, shortest, lens possible. Seems like Sony prefers this formula. If all other things are equal, then having an exit pupil further from the sensor so that light rays are more telecentric, is theoretically better. So adapting an EF lens to an RF mount as compared to a similarly spec'd RF lens without image compensation may provide a slightly worse image. Making a smaller lighter version of a lens on an RF mount should look worse without image compensation as compared to an adapted EF version with the same F Stop and focal length or zoom range.

My assumption is it will have two modes: One with Global Shutter and lower dynamic range and worse low light performance and a second with Rolling Shutter and better dynamic range and better low light. I have a Z-Cam E2-M4 and it has a second setting with worse rolling shutter and better low light. They may not offer the rolling shutter mode, but if they do hopefully the RS will be acceptation and the low light and dynamic range will be improved.

Seems like this will be a great camera! It will have to better the GH6 dynamic range wise for me to consider it. I suspect that this will not get 16, 15 or even 14 stops of dynamic range with global shutter and for low light or higher dynamic range modes, the rolling shutter will probably be bad. Prove me wrong Z-Cam and I will purchase when you have it on sale for $2,999 is 9 months. That said I wish Z-Cam all the best with this camera! I imagine one way or another, someday I will wind up own it...

I've used Sony 28-135mm FE PZ F4 G OSS Full-Frame E-Mount Power Zoom Lens on Sony A7S MK II and the autofocus as not perfect due to the camera and there was noticeable rolling shutter when panning. The image was nice and when zoomed in from a distance had nice shallow depth of field wide open. I used it with a LANC zoom controller mounted to the tripod arm and it was able to do different zoom speeds smoothly. I think with a more recent camera like the A7iv it would have better auto focus and better rolling shutter. The one thing about it that was not ideal was the 5x zoom range. It was not enough for run and gun shooting for me. You can of course crop in post or possible do a digital zoom in camera, but I prefer to have a longer zoom range or a fast F-stop if it is a shorter some range. All and all the image was not the issue the older Sony camera was. On a more modern camera it should really shine.
