I don't think anything in the Lumix line-up is considered aimed at "serious" video people... That sounds more like Varicam territory to me. I'm sure some will speak out about the GH5/S... and yes professional work can be produced with any of these cameras, but I can't see Michael Bay selecting the GH5 as his A-cam any time soon. So here is a question: Does Sony even make a 20MP Full Frame sensor? And if not perhaps this will be (finally) one of Panasonics actual sensors.

Why can't it be cheap? It's rumored to be only 20MP, so concessions have been made. No doubt it will come up short on stills features also.

Not sure I care about extras resolution. Rumor stated very high dynamic range. That sound promising.

@mercer it’s just Canon being Canon. We all know they can produce a killer camera, but they are protecting their other products. Don’t think that will change any time soon.

If "raw" is the game changer, then it needs to be internal... scratch that... I doubt raw is considered a game changer in 2019? This has to be about the sensor. I'm gonna say it... I'm probably wrong, but I think this is going to sport their organic sensor... or some variation of that sensor. Slow-mo is cool, but not "game changing". Raw is nice to have as an option, but again not "game changing". Internal NDs are convenient, but certainly not "game changing". And that organic sensor is well overdue.

Well we already know it's not going to be small. Current rumors suggest it is larger than the S1/R. The EOS R has the ND adapter and is pretty small considering. Though not full frame in 4k.

It's called the adapter. Both Nikon and Canon have them.

I'm hoping the game changer is not 8k. I personally own no 8k monitors or TVs, so no advantage there for me. Higher CPU demands and storage requirements will slow work in post.

And until goods are "obsolete", the factories and jobs that produce them will remain neccessary. Things are booming here. The water is clean and the air is fresh. I would not say IBIS is a must have... they might have advanced EIS... like Hypersmooth or Rocksteady. It might be AI enhanced? The words "Game Changing" lend me to believe there must be some truly revolutionary features. It's quiet intriguing. With this much buildup there had better be something ground-breaking included. Im not sure about the latest claim @TheRealOG made? I've seen too many post about things with anonymous sources that don't pan out... but if true... we might be in for a real surprise.

DSCF0411 is a closeup so no surprise that there should be detail in that image. And why exactly would anyone what to crop in on a studio shot closeup of some girls face? Would not a macro lens make more sense for such a situation? However, for nature photography cropping in might be a sound choice... and then where did the details go? I'm not saying that this camera is not a heck of an achievement. I think it is currently one of the most compelling cameras out. But to think that Fuji can put out a camera with such a high resolution sensor and think it might not show some weakness in the current lens lineup would be naive. As Phase One said, higher megapixel sensors require better optics.

@Nikkor 400 iso? Well it must be a mess at 800? @KnightsFan You guys love to give a pass to Fuji... motion blur? The shutter speed is set to 1/1600 of a second. I don’t think the climber is a ninja? Atmospheric hazing? In the desert at that distance? Really? Or... and this might be a reach... the lens cannot resolve sharply at that resolution. Just a thought... but you are free to believe whatever you like. It might sound like I’m bust’n balls, but I actually like this camera. However, if they are gonna raise the stakes by upping the resolution, the lenses also need to be improved.

Why do you say that? I'm not seeing the image as sharp at 1:1. As I previously mentioned, this is evident from the the climber picture in Fuji's image samples. If you don't crop in, or are only interested in video, you will not notice any difference. But if you intend to crop the image at 1:1, you will notice that the image is soft. Have you looked at this image 1:1? Look at the climber and tell me do you think it is sharp or soft? It's not the sensor underperforming here.

I'm on the same page with you. I don't think this is going to be S1 type camera. I'm thinking closer to Canon XC15 form factor. I'm not sure this will be a stills camera at all?
