  1. The new Moza Air 2 is configurable to handle multiple shooting positions. But in a case of true innovation, can also be adapted to provide a full automation solution with the additional of the optional slider accessory. Read more about it here.
  2. Aware of what? Was he convicted of a crime? We are getting into very dangerous territory when all that need happen is a woman claims abuse and everyone is expected to believe each and every word she says whilst totally ignoring comments from the opposing party. From what I can see, if something happened she should have filed charges and they both would have their day in court. Until then it is nothing more than a case of "he said, she said". I'm not defending PB... I don't have any unique information regarding this alleged incident. I'm just sick of this pitch fork mentality. I'm sure some will take exception to what I have written. To them... you can take a long walk off a short pier. I have personally known someone that was falsely accused. Thankfully, there was an investigation and exculpatory evidence proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the supposed victim was full of $h!t. Really? Didn't someone once suggest something unsavory about you? Should we take their comment as fact without proof also? Glass houses my friend.
  3. Does anyone shoot anything but slow-mo?
  4. Awesome, I'm sure we will all be curious to hear how your experience goes when comparing both cameras. And as they are priced similarly, perhaps you can also share your thought on build, durability etc... ?
  5. Funny, mine has yet to crash. But then again I did the firmware update, so there’s that. As for battery life. It’s not wonderful. Small batteries = mediocre performance. However with the battery grip it will go for a good while. Too bad there is no battery grip for the pocket?
  6. The Fujifilm X-T3 is a hell of a camera no doubt, but another thing many seem to forget is when you buy a body, you also need to buy lenses. When you take into account the entire Fujifilm echo system, you start to understand that that the system cost is much much lower than virtually every other camera system out there. You will pay many times more for equivalent build and optical quality when comparing what Panasonic, Canon and other can offer. I think the Fujifilm lenses compare more rightly against the Panasonic Leica lenses, and far outclass the standard Panasonic lenses.
  7. Those pictures are of two completely different devices... not a device with a mod attached. I'll go out on a limb and suggest that this phone is nothing more than hype. If Samsung and Apple cannot create a camera phone that is better than a dedicated camera of the same vintage, then Red will not be the one to crack that particular nut.
  8. Honestly, besides color, which could be down to post processing, I don't see much difference at all. And that difference is even less when compared to the GH5S. I did expect it to handle highlights better than this. I would be nice to have the OG footage to play with... and some normal speed clips.
  9. Well it is plastic, and this was a well known fact from since the camera was announced. I would say that if you are accustomed to magnesium alloy bodies you will be disappointed in the perceived build quality. The original pocket felt much more solid. The new one honestly does feel cheap when compared to all metal bodies. But then again, if they had used all metal construction there is no way they could sell this body for the current low price. It's a trade off for sure. However I do like the images out of camera. It's a shame more reviewer don't shoot at 24p instead of slowmo. We all know slowmo by default looks cinematic. But slowmo is more of a niche use case. Whereas, normal speed playback is much more frequently used. It's hard to judge motion cadence with slowmo.
  10. Doubt it’s too heavy. The Ronin S flys my Canon C200 without issue.
  11. The Fuji is an excellent choice for hybrid shooters. It handles well for the size. The build is excellent. Then manual controls lets you feel like your are "really" taking old-school photos. The images do not disappoint. The video performance is as good as cameras costing much more. Built in microphones are stereo and sound pretty good for what they are. The preamps are usable. And the colors are lovely. It's a win... regardless of what may be coming down the pike. This camera can work for today and for a few years to come. It is my new goto travel camera. Nice work Fujifilm... Consider yourself officially on the radar.
  12. While I did not do any rolling shutter test, at no point did I find rolling shutter to be an issue with the X-T3.
  13. Here is the breakdown: Wide shots: 16mm f1.4 -24mm equivalent Medium shots: 23mm F2 - 35mm equivalent GH5S: From 4.55 - 5.28. Keep in mind when shooting with Eterna you need to crank up the DR setting if in high contrast conditions.... which I did not do... as I was not aware of this information at the time. This is not an issue in FLog. The GH5S was set to use VLogL, so it was capturing maximum dynamic range.
  14. Nice shot, this is one of those rare cameras with genuine mojo.
  15. I don’t think it’s better, it’s different. And it really comes down to use case. For me size also factors into the equation as I want the camera work for travel. Indeed, I want to carry it everywhere. Honestly, before buying the 35mm f1.4, I might just opt to wait for the 33mm f1.0. That should be one beautiful beast.
  16. @Andrew Reid Can we find out some info on the Samyang anamorphic that is in development? Here is their location: Hall 05.2 | Stand C020 D029 Would love to see this in Canon EF... I want something that is easily adapted to many different formats. Or better yet an interchangeable mounting plate.
  17. Firstly, this is confusing terminology. Wider apertures are considered "faster". So the f1.4 lens is "faster" than the f2. I believe what you mean is "quicker". As in quicker to focus. That said, the slower but newer f2 lenses are very snappy when focusing. Also of interest for video work is the fact that they are near silent in operation. When I purchased the X-T3 I was sure to get the newer f2 trinity so as to cover the bases for video. But after reading many reviews I was compelled to also add the 16mm f1.4. Which by many accounts is one of the best lenses ever made.
  18. My bad, I know most cameras today are used for cat videos and leaves. Forget skin tones and DR... fur tones and leave range is the new thing?
  19. What is more plausible? That the new Panasonic cameras will have world class AF, or that Panasonic will produce yet another series of cameras with the same poorly performing AF as all the other cameras they have made up to this point? My guess... if you want usable AF do not look to Panasonic. No doubt the video specs will be great. Colors the same as the GH series. It will shoot 4K @ 24 and 60 FPS. It will record 10 bit 422 internal. Maybe compressed raw? Rolling shutter will not be great. There will be a cropped mode. Where is the organic sensor they spoke of a few years ago? I would buy it for that one feature. A mixed bag in the making me thinks.
  20. It’s shot with Eterna. As for race tracks... we’ll stop going once the boy stops breaking records. Until then...
  21. Here is some unedited footage you guys can play with. I'll be curious how you grade it. On an interesting side note discounting the wind noise, the audio in the clip is quite good and the mics are stereo. I think in a quite environment you might be able to get away with in-camera audio. I did not expect that. Honestly, I usually just mic my subject if they are speaking, but in a pinch these built in mics might work.
  22. Thanks. And yes, the 265 10 bit is a bear, but proxies make it doable. I plan to get the Atomos Ninja V when it comes out, so perhaps that will be a good workaround. I am also curious how this footage will hold up relative to the Ninja V footage. I still plan to get the Blackmagic P4k to check it out. But that said the Fuji will be my main travel camera from here on out. So power for its size and though small easy to handle.
  23. There's no doubt. At this point I must admit that I am the weakest link. I will do some more test vs the GH5S. I still love the output from the S. But the Fuji brings a certain magic. I think it's something the Panasonic may lack. Granted I shot the GH5S using the 12-35mm f2.8 II, which imo is more clinical than magical. Fuji on the other hand, has many great lenses that ooze mojo. The Leica 42.5mm f1.2 can match the Fuji but that is only a single lens.
  24. Had a bit of a play with the X-T3 over the weekend. Below is some footage from my first shoot with the camera. I also have some scenes shot with the Panasonic GH5S. Both are great video tools. Check it out below. Comments welcomed.
