I am, link? Maybe this is just a problem with 12.5, I hope that is the case.

They are slowly coming on board, I use Film Convert, and effects added with this update a very good.

Yup, my 40mm Voightlander f2 is my favorite lens I have ever used. I occasionally flirt with the idea of buying a backup copy I enjoy it so much. Will never part with it. Took this photo today with it and anamorphic adapter. Wide open. I need to cull back my glass as well, more than half my glass I don't really shoot with.

Yeah PP is the only alternative. I'm calling their support on monday to ruffle some feathers, really bad to say you support H265 and have the ONLY camera that shoots to it not have audio support. It's a real shame to because the footage looks gorgeous in resolve.
-
Just a heads up, I purchased the pro version of Resolve to unlock the H265 editing. Unfortunately the program does not support the audio stream from the camera, so you will get great looking video, but will not get any audio on your clips!

Why is the Pix E5H to much money? An extra $150 over the Atomos and better build, plus it now has the professional XLR inputs available.

Might want to have a look at this thread:

I think the best aspects of this camera are the readout size change. Getting the widest coverage possible out of all your glass sounds like a dream come true.

I honestly think the shutter angle killed the Hobbit. The DP shot at ~1/64 for most of the film so it would look okay at 24 fps, giving the blurry soap opera experience. If they shot at 1/96 I think it would have been far better received. I'm actually a huge fan of HFR, and laser projection is absolutely gorgeous. Cannot wait to see this film as it was intended.

We get it, your skeptical about the camera. Don't buy it.

Calling all NX1 owners: 16-50s brand new back in stock for $800 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O&sku=1022903&gclid=CKD1zqy0lMwCFclkhgodSlkBEA&Q&ap=y&m=Y&c3api=1876%2C92051677442%2C&is=REG&A=details Edit: Looks like tons of lenses are back in stock, majority with HUGE markdowns. 12-24,18-200,45 mm all marked down $200 50-150 is only a grand. Crazy deals.

In his original post "and I need versatility (as far as possible) for all types of work and durability" A6300 might be okay for Narrative work, but live event coverage?
-
A6300 has 3 dealbreakers for me: 1) Shut downs due to heat, even in moderate temps is unacceptable for professional work unless you have a second camera to use as a backup 2)Horrific, worse than any other camera ever rolling shutter.(http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?303559-Measuring-rolling-shutter-put-a-number-on-this-issue!) 3) Horrid battery life. Get a used GH4 and a speed booster for your canon glass, you won't be disappointed.

YES. I share my SD cards across camera types and would love it tied to camera instead of card. Great work Otto.

Goddamn, gorgeous and small.

Premiere Pro proxy workflow and bkgd transcoding

Glad they are adding it finally. -
You said you really enjoyed the form factor of the FS5, isn't that getting RAW soon? If so go with that.

Great footage of the 4K in High Speed (Improved rolling shutter mode)

I'll be at NAB, what would you like me to check out?

Kinefinity: I understand why you are adding ProRes, but why did you drop cineform? It is the codec that I prefer. -
Just purchased the Pro version of Resolve from a fellow board member. Haven't heard how it handles the NX1 files, we'll see if it works better with 0-255.
