Think i am going to send mine back to i was going to use it for photos a lot to as a small camera to take with me but the image quality in low light i shoot a lot in is just not very good and when you put a big lens on it it is not that small to carry around anymore. With the 4k cropping and no other Video settings its just not worth keeping. If it was stellar in low light and high iso then it would keep it but oo well.. I am not investing in any Samsung lens other then the 16x50 i have to. I think its now just a matter of time till Nikon and Cannon get 4k then the NX1 will not be looking so good especially in low light and i have a lot of Nikon glass. I think the NX1 is great for this year to get started in 4K and i hope for more firmware updates still hoping for any 4k slowmo.

No problem here with the original footage - after it is uploaded to Vimeo or youtube that changes it.

My first reaction was shooting down town and wow the cropping took the top off all the buildings as soon as i pushed the button.. really need to get used to that - start recording and then hit pause right away to get the framing set. Then i went that night and shot inside a gym shooting some guys working out fighting and using a Rokinon Cine CV12M-NX 12mm lens all i could think was i need more zoom even with the crop. The 12MM was plenty wide for shooting full head to toe of the guys maybe around 10 to 12 feet in front of me. When i go back i will try a Nikon 24mm and a 35mm i have. I like being able to set to infinity and just move around. Video quality seems to be the same as the NX1 maybe better in the shadows i say this as the photos i have shoot with it are much cleaner in every iso then my NX1 is.

Ok It works now. I did not have the top dial set to manual it now works when set to manual... Very happy now all is good.. Sorry for the excitement Someone can delete this topic now..

I get Check the lens when ever the Rokinon or my adapter is on the camera and i try to shoot a photo or record video. I have tried everything and they will not work. But they work 100% on the NX1 http://dealsbranson.com/gallery/var/albums/Photos/20150325_194053web.jpg?m=1427330745

Just got in my NX500 and Rokinon 12mm lens and the lens will not work on the NX500 but works just fine on my NX1. Then i tried my Nikon mount adapter with Nikon lens and none of them work on the NX500 but they all work on the NX1. So this is looking like another Samsung NX500 short coming they added to it VS the NX1. This is a biggie you can not use any lens except if it is a Samsung lens and talks to the camera. Anyone else have this problem? I see no menu setting to change to fix this.

I ordered the 12mm it should be here within a hour or so. I went with it over the 10 when a guy pointed out that with the 10mm the glass on the front sticks out like a dome and you can not add on a filter to that lens with the dome like that so that killed it for me i need to use a ND filter outside in bright light so i ordered the Cine 12mm version.

I like it.

​That looks like a very nice quality to me like the NX1.. i think i will be happy with it. Even the wide shots look ok if you did not say it was the NX500 you could of posted it was the NX1 and no one would know any better.

My NX500 to be my second to my NX1 will be here tomorrow will have to get out and test it on a sleeping turtle and a shot of my parked car. I only wish it had a good slomo so i could capture some tree leaves blowing to.

The one head on seems a little sharper and better for less noise was that the NX500? But over all the same thats good. Mine will be here on the 25th.

I was just reading about the new Canon 700x that was announced today it says and as i was reading it got pulled down.. Quite a camera.

Another thing that bugs me is to see a video test of a non moving object that nothing movies and it looks like a still image in most of the test video shots like here is a video of a rock for 10 seconds and now the side of a building for 10 seconds with nothing moving and no panning. That kind of stuff should be kept off line but what ever its still a free world for now in most places.

Is they some way to do a search and set it to show you the newest videos for that search as it opens.. Bugs me that when i do a search it shows all old videos and i have then click on by date to see the new stuff ..can i change that in my account someplace to show the new stuff all the time?? As for it VS youtube the Vimeo quality is so much better i can upload the same video to both and Vimeo is by far much better quality. I hate even watching youtube videos as the quality is so bad on most things. For me most youtube videos are out of focus and yuck looking for around 15 to 30 seconds till it all of a sudden pops in to the better quality it dose this on 3 PC we have here and did it in two other locations we were at on vacation.. video social-media site lets do it.

I can see using it sometimes but if a camera did not have it but was a great camera it not having slomo would not be a deal breaker for me.

I watch a lot of videos on Vimeo and Youtube on camera tests and small movie projects people are doing. Its seems that 7 out of 10 videos are all in slomo. Watching TV every day movies, commercials and tv shows you almost never see any slomo in a Tv show or movie only seeing some in a small amount of commercials but only for a few seconds. Some movies have a very small amount but nothing like i see people posting So many people are posting 5 min or longer videos all in slomo i don't get the point of that when in reality on TV or in movies it is almost never used..Also so many comments on cameras having or not having a slow speed. How important is show speed for most film or TV projects? If you are making a short film would you use a few min of slomo in it with no dialog just music.

I am about to buy one but dam lets see a video of anything steady and nice to look at. It dose look bad so far .

Looks good on my monitor will watch later on a TV .. would of liked to hear so real talking audio.

That would stop the new JVC in its tracks then..

I would like to get the 750 as well for photos to update my two D700 cameras.

​I use my NX1 with non-native lenses i use Nikon lens and i do not do the focus zoom in i hate that it is to slow to use.. In fact using non-native lenses the back display for some reason seem brighter and even more easy to see focus then using the Samsung lens. 75% if this video was shot with Nikon lens all 100% manual focus. The raid shooting parts i am on a tripod with a 100x300 F4 lens all manual focus with no zoom in and no focus peaking it was not hard to do at all. ​Have you shot with the NX1? i find that using a finder on the back screen same as the NX500 has i never need focus pealing to get good focus. In fact when i do turn it on it is more in the way they anything. The back screen is very clear and easy to focus with. I use a 3x finder on the back.

Lets hope so and soon before we all buy something else as a second.
