720p raw is much more detailed than canon 1080p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3JEHUp7WfQ -
After having the luxury of EVF for manualy focusing video/stills i would find it very hard to go back to dslrs. But who knows, maybe canon will release something interesting.

real bummer that it only really works in crop mode, still i think the eos M is a very underrated camera. Im for sure picking one up to play with. Btw do 16mm lenses work on it when in crop mode? -
So yesterday i stumbled apoun this product on ebay ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/new-Nikon-F-G-focal-reducer-speed-booster-adapter-to-Canon-EOS-M-EOSM-M2-M3-/361376870358?hash=item5423bd6fd6:g:u84AAOSwHnFV4muu ), its a Eos m to nikon g focal reducer. I knew that the Eos M have some magic lantern raw capabilities and after further research i found out that it can shoot at a resolution of 720 x 1280. A eos M can commonly be found for about 150$ (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canon-EOS-M-Body-Gehause-black-schwarz-TOP-wie-neu-OVP-/151853015439?hash=item235b25218f:g:vYQAAOSw~bFWI-fz). If anyone has tried a common combo i would be interested in knowing more.

When premiere supports h.265 nativly im sure im going to get this camera. the 4k is exceptional.
-
Well the nx1 takes the 28mp 6.5 signal and downscales it to 4k which is absolutely incredible, the the super 35mm crop on the a7rii is just above 4k so that imo is the reason for the detail aspect.
-
Nice video but alot of the shots are of level, try using the built in electronic leveler to get the shoots straight. Otherwise nice job.
-
Yes you have to take into consideration that it was chris (the photo guy) who shot the part where they talked about video, he probably do not know how to expose correctly for slog3. I would have liked to seen some ungraded samples.
-
true but the lenses on the a7 series are not design for such a heavy crop compared to the lens on the rx 10/100 that is made for that kind of crop, it will be close to impossible to get an ultra wide on it.
-
Apparently the 1080p 120fps is a 2.2x (!) crop, really really dissapointed in that. I was hoping for some rx10/100 level slow mo in this thing. Lets hope the quality is atleast decent.
-
Yes that's it.

I've personally given up on variable nd, the uncontrollable polarization and the wierd color cast is just not worth it. Get some fixed nd filters from hoya and those magnetic filter adapters (cant remember what they are called) and you have a very fast and conisistent setup.

Isn't that lens focused by wire?

i had the opteka, its not a very sharp lens at all. I would recommend the nikkor 85mm f2.0 ai, its a very nice and sharp lens for not so much money.

Thanks Mattias!

Hi guys! Im currently loving my sony a7, the full frame image coupled with leica lenses sure is a beautiful thing. But i have one question for you guys, what is the best workflow for getting the most accurate colors? Im currently shooting portrait -3 -3 -1 and then applying the sony a7s-still film convert profile to it. I've seen Andrews nx1 and gh4 log lüts and i wonder if there is anything like that more my camera. Thanks in advance

why not shoot 60 and slow down to 40% ?
-
based by the video you linked it looks like it zooms in to around 200-300mm from around 80. so a 70-200 will probably be good but you are the one to choose.
-
I'm 99% sure that the 70-200 f/2.8 Non-IS is parfocal, i used to have one back when i shot canon. Tarantinos crash zoom often end with a very long focal length so 200mm (300mm FF equiv.) will be perfect for what you are doing.

the design looks like they just had a piece of metal than randomly placed camera lenses on the back.

These are really becomming popular in the skate/bmx industry (same with rx10 ii). I've seen quite a few videos lately with the Xc10 and some screw on fisheye. Looks really nice and cirspy. I think they hit a great spot in the market with the camera.
