agreed, especially if you have a shallow dof and the background is very out of focus i often prefer the look of a brighter/blown out background.

Looks like a lovely camera with a great workflow.

used fuji x100 go for around 250-300$ so they're really a steal atm.

the video is very similar to eos m3 and t6i with the new 24mp sensor.

yeah, same as 1dc

x70 uses the old 16mp sensor so its not close to the new 24mp sensor for video.

Hey @Mattias Burling, im think about getting this adapter for both stills and video but there's no reviews out there on how the sharpness holds up for stills. Would be ever so kind of you if you could just do a couple of test stills with the adapter for me

They said in an interview that the sensor produces to much heat for video.

10mm is equivalent to 23mm in the 4k mode so its not really ultra wide.

But in your post you say each photo is 1.49 mebabytes and for 15 fps you will get 22.35 megabytes/s which equals 180 megabit/s

22mbps is 180 mbit/s so thats pretty big.

i can only answer the helios 58 aspects of this post. 58mm is too wide for 2x anamorphic on full frame. The helios is not close on sharpness as the canon 100mm but thats not what the helios is about, its about the charakter

looking forward to that post. always found the DP2 to be an intresting but quirky camera.

Thats not the point im making, look at people like Casey Neistat. He uses the 70d (now 80d) and the G7x and soooo many people people have bought those cameras just because he uses them, its a big part of why Canon is still seen from the masses as the best dslr for video.

This camera will be a huge hit in the vlog market just like the 70d and the G7x is.

doubt it, it uses the old 16mp sensor.

prores is not the same as raw. Prores gives a more robust image and a lot better for scenes with alot of motion in it. Also h.264 dont grade anywhere near as good as jpg images from cameras.
