  1. Still raw images are very good up to iso 3200. With a bit of nr in pp you can get almost noise free images. Hence also video should be the same! There is something going on that destroys the video at iso 1600 and higher.
  2. Yes, the lut is used to convert from his settings to a log like image. From that you can apply luts from other sets, made for log profiles. But I wanted to use your luts also, since they look very nice!!!
  3. I realize I'll be asking too much so don't hesitate to reply 'no'. Bit since you're good in creating LUTs, could you do a conversion one from Andrew's suggested settings to your base settings? I guess this could be done by taking shots of a colorchecker with both settings...but I don't even know where to start :-D
  4. I'm going to dl your luts and try them. But...I always use Andrew's suggested settings. Do you think they'd do with those, as well?
  5. I'd like to see the nx1 with bitrate hack to be tested as well, if possible, to see how it compares with the mighty two.
  6. Definitely. I get 160mb on an old Mustang class 10 sd card and 180 on the lexar 2000x, so the issue is the data rate in camera, not towards the sd.
  7. I'm using the settings advised by Andrew. I think they keep a lot of detail. But are not great w/o any grading.
  8. I need to test the formatting utility on PC; since formatting on camera gives me a 180mb of maximum, with lexar 2000x.
  9. Which one do you prefer? I enclose also the original file if you want to test on it your luts/grading.
  10. What about Andrew's settings and loglut? Btw I'm a bit surprised he is not testing the nx1 with the new bitrates.
  11. Mountneer, it would be enough to enable on nx1 (AS AN OPTION) what on nx500 is the default cropped UHD.
  12. sure! http://***URL removed***/forums/post/57686226
  13. kidz, the latest vs uses ev+ok to summon menu. and has no bugs,as far as I can say!
  14. the latest vs by kinoseed solves everything!
  15. mountneer, since tomorrow I'll have to fikm my daughter at her first essay of rhythmic gymnastics, indoor, with lights and I'm in Europe, I did several tests at 100fps@180mbit/sec (pal). I think the results are very good up to iso 400, decent at 800, bad to very bad at 1600 and up. I'd rather use 1/100 (instead of 1/200) but won't go beyond iso 800 at 100fps.
  16. I still haven't tried the latest rev. Of the hack. Does it have problems with nx1, due to double ev press?
  17. Imo at higher bitrate there is a great advancement at (and up to) iso 800. Above that, at 1600 and 3200 it's still loosing too much detail.
  18. Sr, not sure about those results. Seems like the benchmark is somewhat flawed, since I get about 4x performance with a lexar 2000x compared to a samsung pro (when buffer full...5-6fps vs 1-1.5fps).
  19. Riego, the solution would be having 6.5k video and then downsize it off camera with a tool of our choice.
  20. not sure about that. I remember that nr setting for pictures did NOT remove nr completely from higher iso, when turned off, in early fw.
  21. the nx1 is a bit better than a6300 noise wise, even at iso 3200, in photo mode. There is something going on in video which destroys the output at high iso.
  22. Interested to see if you can actually push sharpness to lower values via commands. Nobody tried the nrm**** command, btw?
  23. Same for me. As long as it's easily reversible and works faster, count me in.
  24. Syme: and impossible to turn off? As said, it COULD be implemented in hw, but I don't see a reason for it not to be 'off turnable'...
