  1. I've been dreaming about that lens in native nx mount with af and aperture controls... Would be so nice. Great images btw. Really like especially how the third one looks.
  2. Very smooth. Not stabilized in post?
  3. 16-50s is great, but the focus is by wire, unfortunately. The only two lenses which are mechanically coupled in nx ecosystem are the 85 and the 60.
  4. BTW tried your WF. In the following pictures: OOC footage, nx2log, norwich. Please C&C
  5. Nice look. Any further adjustment made? p.s.: the guy with the dog was not happy to be recorded
  6. are these out of camera grabs with no grading? If so, really good. Still a bit too sharp, perhaps, but that's normal with nx1.
  7. is it me, or the one with shotgun is more saturated in the reds? I much prefer the skin of internal recording.
  8. Casey, interesting post. Imo you should get Andrew's guide and try its settings and the log conversion file. And report your findings, of course.
  9. A fw hack for nx1 could increase bitrate and even enabling 4:2:2 internal recording..
  10. Ok, I see. I'd like to read Andrew's take on this...
  11. Ok for the black points set to 0, but shouldn't you also take up the whites (in the 16-235 image), in order to get a comparable waveform?
  12. We need to get to a point with the 16-235 vs 0-255 debate. I've been shooting 16-235 since Andrew advised to, but your post makes me feel bad :'(
  13. You can lower the green component in settings...
  14. I'll try for sure! The a lot! Learning things is so nice.
  15. Impressive. You specifically mean the first part don't you?
  16. I think it's v3. I bought it years ago. I have those in the separate window. All of 'em set at 0.4?
  17. I have an old version of neat video. Where do I find chromatic noise? I have temporal filter radius, threshold and adaptive filtration as parameters....
  18. nope, I load the clip in premiere and start grading w/o any prior operation.
  19. I use Andrews' settings which are basically what you say with a bit of tuning to rgb curves. It's not 'bad' ooc, but lacks punch and a bit of contrast. But when I try to improve on these, my results never satisfy me fully. Skin tones, banding, noise, smearing... I'm newby to grading, that should be a big disclaimer ;-)
  20. I'd really like to find a good base 'setup' to start grading the nx1. Anybody has hints?
  21. Dean: I just tried your setting and your grading, but my results...is very dark. Here is the input image and the resulting one. Help!
  22. How many fps was it?
  23. Yep, I often shoot at 25fps or 24fps with 1/30 shutter. That has two nice effects, imo: - 1 stop more light - less stuttering (more blurred subjects in motion) I really like this setting.
  24. agreed on most. If used 1080@100fps (pal) you can go up to iso 400, imo.
