  1. NX2 would have been scheduled for mid/late 2017 and would have had a much better sensor (i.e. APSC vs m43 to begin with and possibly more than 28MP), with embedded dram for very high performance in slow motion (240fps@1080 at least and 60fps@4k). Who knows? Perhaps it could have been the first 8k consumer camera... And since NX1 is still a much better camera for stills compared to GH5, I can only imagine what NX2 could have been there.
  2. This could be crowfunded again like you did for nx-l. But first you could start a poll to see how many could be interested and at what price (I guess it could be about the price of nx-l, not having additional electronic inside and actually requiring less 'tricks' not having to put the lens so near the sensor).
  3. I was thinking of something similar to an extension tube, with premium optics inside, ala nx-l. I think it could even be easier to develop compared to nx-l, since the lens doesn't need to be next to the sensor.
  4. I was also thinking about the wonderful 85/1.4...170/2.8 (equivalent to 255mm in ff) is outstanding. And all with af... The important part is the optical quality of the lens used.
  5. I know you can do it. Same optical quality of nx-L, but inverse logic. 50-150 would become a 100-300 f5.6, which is not so bad.
  6. I'd still want to see 120fps against nx1.
  7. I'm waiting to see how this camera at 120fps stands again nx1. But, anyway, I doubt I'll ever be really excited by a camera with a m4/3 sensor, being more interested in stills than video. Especially when there is no more weight advantage.
  8. Please upload a video at 2k and 120fps done with nx1 and gh5 under the same conditions, thanks. Possibly for the nx1 also post a high bitrate version done with the hack. Then, for gh5, please post the same also at 180fps. Thanks.
  9. This is true, but...I can't but think that if AMD hadn't beaten Intel in 2003-2005, Intel wouldn't have used the Core microarchitecture in 2006, keeping it for later (like around 2009-10). Core was such a step up that poor AMD wasn't able to follow and got severly beaten...till now. We'll now see if Intel has a new "rabbit in its hat". Otherwise, we'll all enjoy great power at low cost, thx to AMD.
  10. This is caused by the lack of serious competition. Finally amd is back, prepare for a step up in the game soon.
  11. As much as I love my nx1 and lenses, I wouldn't buy another samsung camera, unless it's based on the same nx mount (since I have a lot of lenses for it) and it's a leading product once again. I would never ever buy a Samsung camera with a new mount, be it apsc or ff.
  12. I'd even get a nx2 with that on board, provided that it has internal 10bit at 4:2:2.
  13. As much as I love AMD, I won't be upgrading my 5820k running at 4.4ghz anytime soon. But...so happy to see competition at the top, finally.
  14. The mini has a shorter flange distance, afaik.
  15. I've never understood how to check for dropped frames. How can I do?
  16. hehe, yes, should be 750MB according to arithmetics (200*30/8). You probably recorded 32sec. But we have big cards at decent prices, nowadays, so that's fine.
  17. oh, all the speeds over 180mb give me that error.
  18. I own a lexar 2000x card, which is able to write at more than 200MB/sec on my PC, which translates to 1600Mb/sec. Yet my NX1 tops at 180Mb. I think it's a CPU limitation (or I/O interface limitation), not card. Sony is extremely expensive. GH5 has small sensor and 40% less MP than NX1, making it an no-go upgrade for those more into still shooting than video. I'll consider NX1 pwnd when an APSC with 30+ MP camera comes, costing in the 1200-1400€ range for body, with gorgeous AF lenses not costing gold, with 10bit internal at 4:2:2 or raw for video, an AF in the 1DX mk2 range, 15-20fps at 14bit raw with a buffer of 100+ pics.
  19. لطفي بوعكاز: great video! I really like the colors and the general "mood". I'd also like to know your workflow.
  20. Nx1 has dis which works by slightly cropping the image to reduce shakiness. This is also done in 4k.
  21. Ok no problem. My experience with metabones on an old a6300 was extremely good. I'd dare to say it focused better than the native sony lenses I tried. But it was the 70-200/2.8 which is pretty fast by itself.
  22. I have the metz 44, the samsung ed sef15 and two samsung sef8 (which I use with a flash cord). All of them are built for NX.
  23. SMNJohn, Again, I never said that metabones' adapter is better than Luca's. I simply said that ** for my personal needs ** a metabones alike adapter would be much better. Please don't read in my words something that it's not there. Also, claiming that AF speed of 30mm is about the same as 16-50 S lens, in my own experience (and according to the many users that posted, eg on DPR) is totally wrong. The 30mm lens is in my experience the slowest focusing lens of the NX ones, while the 16-50S is possibly the faster along with the other S lens and the wide ones (10mm and 12-24mm). Last, I never asked for a EF lens to be on NX as fast as native NX lenses. I asked for a EF lens to be as fast as it would be on a Canon body (since that's my present alternative for long tele, against which I'll compare both performance and prices).
  24. So you're calling me a jerk for saying that this direction would not satisfy my needs? You're very rude.
  25. Yup, you could be right. Someone should investigate the pentax protocol and see if it's similar to Samsung's.
