Yes, and the 25mm pretty much cover s35. Its like 97% there.
-
Dual pixel phase detection? I might not remember correctly but didnt the gh3 loose picture on the smartphone as soon as you hit record?
-
Yup, thinking two-three camera solo shooter at events, weddings, etc.
-
You know what Samsung should have done. Used the m4/3 mount. Its free to use. It covers the sensor. Many MFT lenses cover the whole sensor, some would be good for crop mode. Their own lenses would have been very popular among GH4/e-m5/etc users. More people would have taken the plunge or bought the nx500 as backup.

Speaking of nifty functions for vloggers.

If you use the speedbooster it will cover 92% of the s35. Meaning you can shoot 4K with no loss in resolution with the sensor mapped at 92%.
-
Its a shame I dont have a speedbooster to test with the camera. But another fellow did and he says, "So I tried using my SB with my old Nikon primes and hoped that there was enough sensor coverage to keep the VSM at 100% and still take advantage of the extra f-stop. Unfortunately to get rid of the vignette I had to set it to 92%. " Sounds like a good deal to me. Maping to 92% and gain a stop. Could be a nice tool to have if I for example want to keep using my 24-105 but the sun is setting.

Will probably get some new footage up tomorrow. Tested the HD 4:2:2 Slowmo today. My copy still only have the 50/60p. But if the upcoming 120p is equally clean, it will be awesome. 50p 1/100 50p 1/100 Included this frame just to show the fence thats free from aliasing. I also got the Mitakon 35mm f0.95 today. Its a m4/3 mount but designed for APS-C, so full coverage. Ungraded Quick Grade
-
Thats the same sensor.
-
IMO it is the C-line. What you are asking for already exist
-
Yeah you can get a G6 for less than $200. Its a nice camera. Think its the same sensor as in my GFs GM1 and that makes very likable images.
-
It doesnt have 10-bit. But it does broadcast aproved 4:2:2 in HD internally.
-
12 usable stops imo. Very comparable to c-log but a little less than BMDFilm. Totally fine given how versitile the camera is. Today I will se what f0.95 does to the s35

Haven't read all the specs etc but it kinda seems like an LX100 with interchangeable lenses. Which of course is a good thing. However, one might consider the Leica lens included with the LX100 for less money. Either way, another great option. (it will be interesting to see which company that goes under first, because it will happen. There are definitely more camera makers and models out there than there are customers.)

It seems nice but as B-cam to the LS300 the pocket is more suitable imo. It doesn't need 60p as the LS300 gets 120p in the next firmware. Battery isn't to important either, can probably get a plate for the JVC batteries. Also it would mean an external monitor to carry as well and then the stealth is compromised. But currently the 5D is more likely for me.

You mean you get pink frames in in the 1920x672 slow as well?
-
Cool shots! Im hopefully shooting some s16 tele shots today, horse racing. But its up to the weather.
-
Never tried slowmo in 720p but from that very thread, "In conclusion, I've come to the realization that some of the issue with pink frames may not come from the MLV files themselves, but from the converters doing the conversion." Ive only shot the higher resolution raw and never seen any pink frames. I use Raw Magic for the conversion.
-
I know, but I thought I let you be the one to tell everyone

Capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments: to raw or not to raw?

Never seen silver paper but if you say so. For anyone reading, its metal and plastic like all cameras. -
Comon, he doesnt hate Canon. He loves the 1DC, 5Dmkii/iii and Im sure if the c300ii was a bit more affordable he would be on it.
-
Never lost a frame.
-
Made one of these today. It really is a compact little Raw Cinema Camera that also works as a great stills camera.
-
Because it cant use the m4/3, s16 or the active EF lenses. I like the nx1 alot but my B-cam need to share the mount of the A-cam.
