No the xc10 has the thicker colors imo. Besides all the vintage glass I have a 24-105/4 L and the 35mm f2.0 IS. -

Not on ebay. I buy almost exclusivly on photo/video forums or classifieds. Unfortunately not, had to off load almost everything when I jumped on the Red. Didn't have the cash at the time since it was christmas. Its different. More depth to the color in the xc10, at least it feels that way. The 1DC feels more like a traditional Canon. But they are similar, mostly the sensor size that feels different. -
Thanks, yes it was color finale.

Original camera files - download and share!
Mattias Burling replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Here are some files from the JVC LS300. Checkout the thread with he review for more info. One is a test of the Dynamic Range. It was shot in s35 with a m4/3 kit lens so there is s one severe barrel distortion, but no vignette. The other is a portrait of Gunpowder with a vintage Yashikor 55mm My advice for grading is to treat it as Rec709 and don't push the shadows to much. The mids and highlights can take more of a beating. DR test Ungraded No highlights blown, sky is preserved for the sake of the test. With a quick grade Gunpowder ungraded Quick Grade 1 Quick Grade 2 The files can be downloaded here: http://www.filedropper.com/jvc -

They do but the look is very different. BTW, I ended up buying that 1DC. Less than 25k clicks and it cost $600 less than current A7rii retail. -
No problem in the bag I use. Ive always had a wide one just to be able to put in more stuff like a slider, mic stand, etc.

Had to test the used Canon 35mm f2.0 I bought before the return period was over. So I just brought it for some boring random shots when I went in to town for some shopping. The IS works nice. In many of he shots Im not even trying, just holding it out onehanded, works fine imo. I don mind shakes. I want my handheld to look handheld, shoulder rig to look shoulder rigged, or I use a tripod. Steady cams and gimbals is not my thing unless it serves a purpose.

Good stuff, hope it gets here before I need to return it.

Must be some bird...

It came the same day, was a great view when I got home I will do my best to test it through most shooting situations. Cant help you with the speedbooster thoug, don't have one.

Seeing this makes me glad I still have a RX100iv on the shelf at home. Great video Andrew! I first returned it but a few days later I made my LUTs that at least to my eye lets me get nice skin tones. And I did enjoy to have something literally in the pocket. I also got the magfilter I used to have with the RX1ooii. And finally when they lowered the price with almost 10% and gave me another 10% for an open box it was done (the open box was the one I returned )

Ahh, regular Tugela Canon Trolling. I figured, but gave you the benefit of the doubt. I belive the mirror is the key Any way, you can adapt m42, C/Y, OM, Nikon and a few others to EF. So its not that bad.

And that has what to do with the two posts you are adding to?

But thats the 5D mark iii? (edit: sorry, missed the 4K part)

Ever since the first DSLR started shooting video there has been one dream, the functionality of a camcorder with the sensor and lens mount of a DSLR. All in an affordable package. This might be just that. JVC has lended me the camera for a few weeks to try out. What Im mostly interested in is if: Its as good as the specs makes it out to be. If it can be both a true Run n Gun camera and something for cinema. If it is the ultimate camera for vintage lens junkies Regarding the specs, here is what cought my eye. MFT Mount S35mm Sensor 4K 4:2:2 HD Log Prime Zoom External Controls Built In NDs XLR First Impression It is light and small but doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. I would say it feels just like theses DVX type camcorders always does. Not 5D rugged, but solid, maybe a bit more solid than a FS100. Setting it up was super easy and intuitive, I mean its a camcorder... its great.. its like riding a bike Getting all the features I want like zebra etc went fast, they where all exactly where you would suspect them to be. The ND wheel feels nice, so does most of the controls and buttons. The audio wheels are clickless, thats a tiny complaint but no deal breaker. The first lens I tested was a m4/3 12-42mm. Its the kit lens from my GFs GM1. It worked and surprisingly it only had some vignette at the long end in s35 mode. In other words its both a normal MFT zoom and a s35 wide angle. It also turns out that there where sensor size stops between s35 and MFT! I hate to say it, but thats all I have time for this first evening. First test and some downloadable J-Log will be up tomorrow. Meanwhile, here are some pics.

On reduser. Just check in every day and you will find one. I like the R1 image more than the Scarlet and wanted the hfr. -

The NX1 doesn't always love soft lenses, but its still going to be sharper than the average Canon. I've gotten great results with m42 Zeiss and old Nikkors. -

You get a fully kitted Scarlet for $4000. My R1 was $3100 with 2 PL mounts, 1 Nikon mount, 2 base plates, 2 battery plates, 2 drives, 4 CF cards, Full shoulder rig, Monitor, EVF and lots more. And they go even cheaper now. To big to fall in the "small" segment for me. And then it can be bigger for all I care. Google is your friend. -

I meant with processing and scan included. Scanners are all over, I have a list of atleast 20 places for my 16mm and at least a handfull does s35mm. Agreed. On any camera that uses external power. -

The NX1 is far better with vintage glass than a Canon. More options to choose from as well.
