I can buy a lot of arguments but not this. If any shooter that works under me (I'm a producer) ever plans a project with gear not yet released an thoroughly tested, I will fire them. You can make misstakes, drop the camera, be late, forget to white balance, etc. Sh.. happens. But you do not pull stunts like that without a 100% solid Plan-B.
-
So don't buy it I fail to see the problem. I think Coke sucks, so I buy Pepsi. I get your point Personally I feel setting a good example and communication is the way to teach kids and dogs. Anger and punishment gets me/them nowhere. So in this example I would purchase a camera of a brand I thought did better. That stings more at BMD than forum posts. In the end all they want to do is make money

I finally got new GBs for my Vimeo (speaking of downsides to vimeo). So I could upload my test video which had a lot of grain in it, and again compare to youtube. IMO, Vimeo does a better job.
-
So dont buy it... I dont get why people get so upset about delays from BMD, overheating Sony and stuff like this. Its shame, shure. But to get worked up about it, I dont get that. Ive said it before and its worth mentioning again. When you are mad the brain literally is loosing cells. So, is it worth self destruction just because a camera doesn't have a global shutter?
-
Yeah, same thing Samsung and Fuji did. Not fun for those who preorders things.
-
They dropped a lot. Down to $100 for a 64GB and $380 for a 256GB. Compared to when they where new thats a big drop. And last summer they cost about the same as the SD cards for the BMPCC when it was new. So I wouldn't worry about it, it can only get cheaper.
-
If the URSA mini has lost the Global Shutter, thats one thing. But if the Micro has lost it... then I see Zero reasons to by it unless you are a drone shooter or in desperate need for slowmo.
-
Same as I got. I wanted more than 850p. Thats why I only got 4 sec.
-
Yes, both versions gone now. Back to original price, $450 body only.
-
Not getting full HD and only about 4sec recording. Might have been the card though. And back with the eos-m it was 720p an no audio. Also had to be in crop because of moire. On that the peaking sucked as well. I didnt use it this time but tested it, it was nice.

Thanks, its the Nikkor 35mm f1.4.

Had my first quick run yesterday with continuous Raw. I literally came home, saw the CF card in the mail, went out and captured some footage the last 30min before sunset. So its nothing special or perfect. But my first impressions are good. As a Blackmagic and Red shooter I haven't been a huge fan of the ML in the Eos-M and 5dmkii I had. But now, with a fast and ongoing camera. Ability to record audio. Option to convert to Losslessly compressed Raw, with a full frame and Full HD s16 sensor.. Its pretty nice. Might change my mind after the first crash... but so far, so good

Update: that one, the gx8 and most of the GH4s are already gone. But they have a G7 + 14-42mm = $400 http://www.cyberphoto.se/info.php?article=DMC-G71442SI_B

This is a Swedish store but their customer support is awesome so Im sure they ship abroad. The price is due to an damaged box, thats right box, not camera They are also selling the GH4, GH4r and GX8 at great prices. Probably only one or two of each, so dont wait if you want it. http://www.cyberphoto.se/info.php?article=DMC-G714140SI_B

At least in Sweden and US states like NY, he has nothing. Its your videos and you can do what ever you feel like. They saw the camera, they know they where being filmed. No judge would buy that you have unauthorized footage when they are smiling, singing and goofing of in front of the camera. They own the rights to the music but never your video. And if you give them the finished video, they cant change it either. You have the creative rights to the video. At this point I would tell them that they have 3 options. 1. Let you finish the editing. 2. Buy the unedited footage from you, no edited sequences. You where planing on doing it for free, so you can give it to them really cheap ($1000 or something like that). 3. You walk away and give them nothing. Stay firm, you are the professional here. Stay calm and let them decide.

That actually is a genius move. Wonder why I havent thought about doing that before...
-
Double also gets you a C100. Btw, anybody else notice something about the header of this thread?
-
Yup thats what I used. Have some footage from it, that I can share. Maybe I can upload a clip in the footage thread tomorrow. It really looks nice ungraded imo.
-
I saw it to Ive had it. Its a nice camera. Weak codec but nice. The great thing is that you can dial in some nice PPs that doesn't need any grading.

Am I the only one finding it hard to ignore the JVC LS300?

Super excited myself. Let me know if there are any specific question that I can look for. -
Not complete movies but technically all movies that used the 5D and BMPCC for some shots. And there are plenty of those. Red One as well. And I think the Scarlet is RS.
