The used prices of the C100 mark1 is so low that Ive got a tough time not getting one. Feels like I would give up the ridiculous detail of the NX1, Raw, etc. Instead get something I would be able to use in pretty much any situation. And most of all, with 100% confidence in the gear.

Ok I got curious and spent the afternoon playing with in camera profiles (yes, staying home watching a dog that has to sitt still is boring). Any who, I haven't spent more than a few minutes grading the Slog2. But I have spent 0 seconds grading the H.265, its straight from the camera. NX500 Slog2

I think you are dead wrong. The people making those coments have most likely never seen Ghostbusters. I love it but lets face it. Its an 80s movie. The people making these comments are youngsters. The difference is to f...ing massive to try and write it of as coincidence, strong franchise, etc. BTW, Turtles, Transformers, Batman, Spiderman, X-men, etc have had some success before the latest reboots. In fact, they where all huge.

Agree, but please avoid Magic Lantern as menu inspiration as well. IMO the Samsung menus are pretty nice. But Blackmagic really have the menu thing down. Easy and intuitive.

Sorry if I made you think that was my point. It isnt. I dont see what this film has to loose switching to female characters. If anything it could make it better. What I noticed and needed to went was that any new shiny CGI movie, no matter how bad it is, still gets more likes than disslikes. Some hate but not nearly as much. And the only difference is the female actors. In every other aspect this, turtles, transformers, spiderman, tomato, and all M.Bay movies are identical to me. Same stuff, almost the same movies. Stuff happens in slowmotion with no depth or story. But ad girls and not only does it get a lot of disslikes. It gets double the amount from likes. Last I looked it was 240k to 120k. I guess I get a bit upset because it touches the two fields of which Ive spent my career. And I hate to see both of them is such bad shape. I think im just going to leave it at, yes, most people online are just as people off line, idiots.

Good to hear. Glad its not just me who observed it Oh Im with you. The movie will probably be ok at best. Im absolutly allergic to cgi and family friendly comedy. Mainly because its made for familys in a more conservative country than my own.

May I ask, what do you loose by this? You might claim that your joking, but if you are, youre not beeing clear enough. So I will go with it. What is it in your life that you feel becomes worse by this movie?

Have you read the comments? Honestly I saw 0 cooments that wasnt about them being girls. And ive never seen this reaction to any of the other Turtles, Avengers, etc. And Sony, if your reading. Big cuudoos on using regular women and not some Charlies Angles gang.

I dont give two shits if they are women or not. And I was a hard core fan as a kid in the 80s. But seeing the comments and disslikes. And people like all the other CGI crap that gets rebooted. So to my eye the only difference is that its girls. In a way it makes me even more happy Sony whent this way. You know, spite. Sticking it to those irritating troll kids. So in a way, Sony used one of the most mainstream, mearchendise pushing genres, that I normally avoid for a good deed Good for you Sony. Might buy a RX100iv after all. Just to support. Thoughts?

I did some lowlight tests tonight. ISO 3200 was totally usable. 6400 might need some NR but still doable in a pinch. 1600 was very clean. And this was all at f2.0 so I have another stop with the f1.4 primes.

No iregular flaring on my end and I have infinity focus. As far as I saw he didnt have any other negatives than that.

The old (non ART version) Sigma 30mm f1.4 in Nikon mount is sweet. Doesnt cost much used.

Thats my point. After years of using Slog both at home and at work. I still have trouble. With most other cameras I only need a day or two to get settled. And I can get the Slog to where I want, I do understand it but its a lot of work compared to all other camera brands I know. And Sony as well. Getting the FS100 to look nice takes almost no effort at all imo. So I agree with the title of this thread. Now, I just returned the A7ii and will probably get the a7siii, because Im not anti Sony. Im routing for them. Slog is just not there yet imo.

So? That doesnt change that Slog isnt exactly concidered most peoples favorite Log. Of course there are good examples. There are good and bad examples from all cameras. Im no colorist but its only Sony thats challenging imo. And I feel confident enough to dismiss all the "thats a user error" comments. Because its with me as with most, relative to other brands. Everyone says the Sony can produce just as nice colors. But no one seems to be doing it.

Oh, forgot to mention. The ND has hard stops for the safe zone. Thats something Ive always whished all NDs would have.

There is always going to be something. Just have to settle. My favorite retailer says 11/3. So not to long.
