  1. Problem with those tests is for example when the BMPC4K was new. It of course has a Global Shutter but on the screen its rolling. So YouTube was full of NAB videos that said it had Jello. The recorded image was perfectly straight. So we wont know for sure untill we have actual footage.
  2. My favorite varies depends on the camera. On the bmpcc its the 20mm f1.7. Sigma 30mm f1.4 (old version) on Canon APS-C. Nikkor 17-35/2.8 on Red One. Kern-Paillards on the D16. Currently Im testing out the A7sii and am very fond of the old Nikkor 35mm f1.4 Ai-s. Dream lens would be the two Canon zooms from Hurt Locker.
  3. If anyone wants a chance on a cheap Zeiss or Voigtlander Prime, they can also do Gunpowder a solid. They all cover full frame Canon, Sony, Panasonic, Olympus, Blackmagic or Samsung with a cheap adapter. For eoshd members I will of course post extra pictures, answer comments etc if askes More stuff will be for sale soon, but in the regular Gear Sale Thread. 4. The problem with the magenta wasnt in camera. It was the NLEs not interpreting the DNGs correctly. Before the latest firmware it was easily fixed by switching to BMD film in Resolve or AE.
  5. Have never had a Sony LCD go bad. Then again, havent kept a camera for very long either. The rx10ii and a7sii doesnt overheat. So there is hope.
  6. Would love one. But dont know how much I would pay. The ND throttle does such a great job at an affordable cost.
  7. I lens that would be high on the list for this is the 35mm f1.8 OSS. I had it for the FS100 and liked it. Sharp and the stabilisation was good. Its almost a pancake, so a sweet companion to the small pz zoom. Couple those with a set of vintage primes and you're golden.
  8. Depending on where you live. Here the NX1 is $350 cheaper.
  9. Today Nikon got back to me on the question about the flat Picture profile. This is what they wrote. "Hej Mattias! Via Capture NX-D (gratismjukvara) kan man lägga på en Flat picture control inställning i efterhand på fotografierna du tagit i RAW format. Om du istället är intresserad av att filma med Flat som inställd picture control så går inte det. Men om du är ute efter att ha så platt picture control som möjligt i en DL kamera så rekommenderar vi att du använder Neutral som picture control inställning. Hoppas detta hjälper dig på vägen! Med vänlig hälsning Nikon-Teamet" Or loosley translated by me. You can for stills in Raw mode with an app. For video you can not use a flat profile. They suggest using "Neutral" as the flatest option. So, I guess Im picking up a RX100iv as a point and shoot. (Btw, love lots of things about my current P&S, the NX500. But I cant stand transcoding. No h265 in FCPX and I dont want to use Premiere or Resolve only. FCPX has totally taken over since getting it this winter.)
  10. $1400 is steep. Its still $990 brand new in Sweden. And where supposedly an expensive country. For example the a6300 preorder price is $1350. A new NX1+ 16-50 S and Battery Grip is $2000. Should make it $1-1200 used if mint condition.
  11. I just scrolled through the nx1 for video group on FB. Lots of NX1 + lenses around $1k being sold.
  12. That wasnt my question. But it's good to see youre still into Canon.
  13. Link? Deal breaker for me, at least for a preorder.
  14. Asked a swedish rep. They of course knew nothing more than the press release.
  15. I just checked the preorder prices and its really competitive. Just over half of the rx100iv. So again, Nikon Flat and I will buy it. Anybody seen any manual or something to flip through?
  16. How did the camera market in total do during the same time? Did it go up? If not, I still say you missed the point.
  17. Think you missed the point a bit.
  18. Sony keeps their E-mount close. If companies could license it, blackmagic, red, panasonic (varri) and jvc would have already done it. My dream, a e-mount bmpc4k.
  19. I think if the Nikon flat is in it, this will be my point and shoot instead of a rx100iv.
  20. Dont know why people shop from there. Ive never been scamed in my life and cant either. Just buy from real people. People thats within a few hours distance so they know that you will come visit if its a scam. Or use a safe payment optionoption. Or if from abroad on a forum like this, use paypal and you are golden. The exact same protection as on eBay is given between people outside of ebay. Frankly, being scamed as a buyer is pretty much impossible. As a seller though... I never accept paypal. So easy for a buyer to rip you of. I let them just send the cash and have faith or come pick it up.
  21. Since they are outselling them they probably look at them as an example on what not to do. Can you imagine the cost for Panasony to develop and make all these new cameras compared to Canon that uses the same old stuff from 4 years ago. I bet their factory runs smooth as silk by now. And still they sell more at a higher price. Thats not laziness or stupidity. Thats genius.
  22. I offered a guy $500 for one yesterday, he is concidering it. Also found the 16mm, 30mm and 45mm primes for $390. Pretty sweet deal compared to what $900 gets you at the store. I think the NX1 will be totally current for atleast 3 years. So if one can just ignore the gas, the bargain of the century is just around the corner. Because it will drop further.
