  1. Disclaimer: This is just for fun. Not meant to be fair, well lit, perfectly graded, scientific or anything else. Just a few shots while I had the two film cameras loaded. IMO Film still kicks the ass of digital in looking what I consider "Good" and in dynamic range and color. But this is not suposed to be proof of that concept. If you want an example of that I say watch "The Hateful Eight", "The Hurtlocker" or any other well shot movie on film. In this video I compare some footage from a BMPCC, Digital Bolex and A7ii to a 16mm Bolex H16 and a Krasnogorsk-3. I did it just for fun so don't read to much into it The BMPCC was shot in Prores and the D16 in Raw. Both where graded with a 7207 LUT. The H16 was shooting actual ISO 250 Kodak 7207. The Krasnogorsk was shooting ISO 50 Kodak 7203 so thats the LUT the A7ii received.
  2. Have you tried on different lights. Some fluorescents flickr enough for my eyes to see it. Do some tests. But since you've already shot a bunch of it in24p you pretty much need to stick to that now. Worst case, if it flickrs, go outside. I wouldn't care to much about the waveform. Look at it on a TV or something. If it doesn't flickr there, then who will notice.
  3. 24p in 60hz wont flicker much. The Hz isn't a setting in the camera, its a menu option to guide you. What causes flicker is the frame rate when it doesnt match the Hz in the lights. So you need to avoid 30p, 60p and 120p in PAL-land. 25p, 50p and 100p are safe. So are 24p and 96p because they are close enough. Do a quick test before to feel confident.
  4. You can control the aperture if its a Nikon mounted lens. They all have the aperture leaver underneath that the adapter can acess. Any who, speaking of Nikon and adapters, tonight is experiment night.... Quick test, bit soft of course. But dreamy
  5. I love it. Simple as that. Will have footage soon.
  6. Well it will be for sale soon Had a quick play with it. Please excuse the vignette (I have never used one before) and the darkness. Also I didn't even clean it and the lenses was covered in dust. This was just a quick proof of concept. Both are ungraded at iso 4000. For a 1" @ f5.6 it looks pretty shallow imo.
  7. I will of course have a play with them first
  8. So I read the article on NFS today about a 35mm adapter on the XC10. Thought it could be a fun experiment and went to see one that was listed for $100 with some lenses included. Knowing my fellow swedes I knew there was a good chanse there was going to be gems in the case. And I was right. Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f2.4 Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm f3.5 Voigtlander Color-Ultron 50mm f1.8 Super-Takumar 55mm f1.8 Jupiter 85mm f2 Chinon 28mm f2.8 Lowest total cost on ebay (recently SOLD not asking prices): $640 So I will be selling them, make a profit and keep the adapter and use it for fun with my Nikon lenses on various cameras.
  9. I own the cops.. This vintage lens racket goes all the way to the White House... BTW it was total treasure. Pics coming soon.
  10. Just walked away from a garage with a pelicase. Dont know if I got treasure yet but one of the lense sinside was a Zeiss so I grabbed it. Will post pics when Im back home
  11. Nice pics! I will add a couple more recent pick ups to give the thread a bigger start. The lovley 85mm Ive wanted for a long time. Film for the Canon (prepaid process/scan) Macro for the D750 Camera for Gunpowder
  12. No idea. Never edited with touchscreen besides on a phone or something. The intous has model with a screen but Ive never tried it.
  13. On lots of forums its popular with a "Picture of your latest purchase" thread. And since this is a forum filled with gear junkies and G.A.S, I thought it could be fun to have one for photo/video related stuff. IMO its enjoyable and gives a glimpse into others lives. The point is to show a picture with or without comments on why, price etc. Not a product picture, it should be taken by you of the actual unit. Its not a thread for debate or questioning why people bought what they did. I can start and we will see if it sticks. $25 and fully automatic. Even AF.
  14. I use an Intious 5 for video editing. Once I got used to it, a mouse is just a pain.
  15. Same old story. A company releases a product for the people that dont want a DSLR or Cinema Camera. And the people that want DSLRs or Cinema Cameras get uppset. And as usual lots of us simply wonder why? Is it so hard to understand that others might not need, use or want the same stuff as myself...? Why get upset? Why care? Im not speaking about this thread but more the turn we all know threads like this takes sometimes.
  16. Right now you only need 10. Or about 7 if you go for used
  17. It will be the 100 kronor. The 20 with a portrait of the author of Pippi Longstocking is already out as well.
  18. It means a person with power through capital. Doesnt have to include or exclude mafia.
  19. Im 99% sure it does or atleast will do 60fps raw.
  20. Ahh Tug.... The man that makes better tests than the BBC, that calls Chris on CSTV a liar without proof and the man who knows that only seniors buy cameras..... Atleast read my post if your going to quote it. Your making the same misstake over and over again by just responding to fragments of peoples posts. Thats why I concider you a troll.
