Can report that the fellow on eBay selling the 64gb Lexar Cfast 2.0 for less than a 32gb costs in Sweden is legit. It's obviously some sort of Grey import since it shows up with a sticker in moon language and no warranty. It was professionally packaged in anti static bags but not in an official Lexar box. No customs or import tax within the EU. Tried it at 305mbps for a couple of minutes without hiccups.

I run Resolve 12 on a Beefy Lenovo Laptop. And it works ok, some crashes. But I'm doing it as a test and have comed to the conclusion that I will be moving back to Mac. But like I said, it's totally fine.

Problem with Wide DR is that it greatly reduces the highlights and lowers the DR compare to C-Log on the XC10 which is tough for me that's gotten use to ETTR if I don't have waveform like on for example the Alphatron when shooting D16. I don't mind a little noise and can always crush the shadows in post, but I will definitely experiment more, this is just based on a couple of quick test shots.

They hold up nicely. It's not raw or anything but for a 8-bit camcorder I'm impressed.

I think I heard 3 but it turned out to be a little more when I tested. I can check.

Ive just looked at some of yesterdays shoots from after sundown and started playing a little in Resolve. I like what I see so far. Im installing the Beta of R Studio so it might be a while untill I have some video to post.

And there never will. My advice, don't be to passionate about something that you forget wats most important. People are emotional driven beeings without any rime or reason. He who claims to be rational is a lier. My job involves trying to understand people and to pinpoint what makes them tick. Then trying to get them to act according to my employers needs. "get" them, not "make" them. Because we can't change their opinions and feelings, just their perception. Trying to force opinion just leads to defensiveness. End of OT, More XC10 footage coming soon. yeah, well the "you only like something because you like it argument" deserves no serious discussion imo. It's like saying I only enjoy watching "Where Eagles Dare" because I enjoyed it as a kid. I enjoy it for the action, actors, cinematography, story etc. And that someone that doesn't know me, have never met me to think they have some sort of magical power to read my mind and dismiss my opinion just to feel secure about some stupid camera they bought.... Classy indeed

Well, the "reviewers" dismissed the Canon C300 and C100 those became the two dominating cameras of the decade and the by far most rented. Most reviews I see of it misses the point imo. They keep comparing it to Dslrs when it imo is a competitor to the XA20, XF100, AX100 and so on. Another camera that gets no love but I would seriously pre-order if the Camcorder Tax gets removed (it's being discussed) is the DVX200. I see almost nothing to complain about with that thing.

I wish, but it's worth it, for science. I think people really needed to know if the Z3 is usable in the rain.

So the new RX100iv seems to have issues with heat. So I wondered how rugged is the RX100-Line in other asoects. In celebration of 200k views on my Z3 Camera Review I decided to do a follow up on its water leakage "issue". The background story is that the "Waterproof" Z3 can have a problem with water. In the comment section of that video I can see that there are lots of people around the world that have received faulty units. But even so its definitely more splash proof than most phones/cameras. And I have no problems using the Z3 in a little rain. To demonstrate made a little test.

If I where to switch today I would buy SLR magics fader. But with that said, I like my Genus faders and they do their job.

A XC10 + Shogun test done by a fellow named Norbert Bielan. He writes, "I went to the beach/park (where I like to test cams) this evening after I got the Canon XC10. I used the Atomos Shogun with it and only recorded with a few different LUTs baked into the image. The URSA has really nice ProRes (Video) that just looks lovely for clients who would like a finished look, and I was hoping to get something similar from the combo above.I can't wait to shoot more stuff and grade it. These images are just straight off the SSD.(One mistake I made for a few shots is using a variable ND over a few shots that already had internal ND on.)"

I can tonight. Isn't impossible since I earlier had issues that others didn't in v1. Probably compatibility with different components.

Having the Zebra at 95% makes pretty much no difference from a hundred. Better to go lower if you want to be safe. I have been shooting with 100% Zebra, ETTR, Genus ND and No IR cut for years... Zero issues, no pink highlights, no pollution. I do pretty much the same for prores as raw.

Did you make sure to download the Studio version? Otherwise it's probably a beta bug. Seems like they fix things rather quickly. V2 fixed all the issues I reported and only took a week or two.

So much choices it's crazy f3 for peanuts, bmcc 2.5k is sub $1000, C100 sub $2000 and still everything is dropping. In Sweden a c100 is cheaper than a 5dmkiii. A few years ago it was what, 4 5Diii on one C100?... Crazy I say
