Haven't had that much time to use it yet. And haven't used it for a serious gig yet. But. Basically it's my Favorite camera of all time.
-
Yeah I don't have one. Was planning to use the gm1 as m4/3 reference but kinda forgot

Yeah you read right. But in reality you can get it brand new for 7 bucks. Guess how good it is... Lens: http://www.ebay.com/itm/231355207354Adapter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251654647579

Because your not the Talent, so your not supposed to understand either. My point is, sometimes its your customer who decides and they view them self with their own eyes. That you must understand if you care about your job :)

Never intended them to look like film. That would have screwed up the test big time. The instructions and reason to why is in the beginning of the video. EDIT: Oh whait, you mean in the alphatron video? Thats not intended to look like anything. Anyway, what stock are you using?

No issues with Rokinons. They will work with a cheap EF adapter.

Twixtor is great but one really needs to think ahead when shooting scenes for it.
-
It's also the only camera in the lot with zero digital sharpening. I'm in no way the man to explain the details but as I've been told the bmpcc has some sort of sharpening added in its debayering. I like the detail but not sharpened image, but I get why some don't. In this video it's a bit better conditions for it. After the first bit (shot with gm1 btw) it's the D16 handheld with the 35mm that the gm1 used in the test.

I still shoot and develop film for stills and I agree, it doesn't look like instagram. But I must say that Filmconvert if eased of a little is really good at mimicking the film I use. Atleast color wise.
-
But it did get alot of votes so treated right it's probably good. Also I recently used it for a mini documentary at work and man do I miss the camcorder form factor and buttons sometimes.

Ouch

I think maxotics will be happiest of all.

Results are 40% uploaded. T-30 minutes plus a few minutes for annotation and posting.

I would say it means Nikon Mount so you can control aperture on the NX1.
-
I would say a mix of all of the above. As a swing against the popular lifted milky shadows that's been the thing the last few years I've now started liking true black in my images.
-
The only native glass I used was the 30/2.0. Most of the footage is vintage. I recommend looking for m42 and C/Y mounted lenses. They are future proof since they even work on Canon full frame. You can see the 35mm, 24mm and two 50mm that all works great on the NX1 in this.

It's all pretty straight forward. I started to edit the results yesterday but didn't have time to finish. Hopefully tonight.
-
Ahh, ok, no I've never tried it.
-
If you have a bunch of lenses then maybe gh4 is smarter. I only use lenses that works with all mounts. Accept for the C-Mounts so I can switch mount when I feel like it.
-
Thanks But I wouldn't call the 30/2.0 a kit lens. It's actually good. And yes, it's resale value is as I predicted here a few months back plummeting. Just how it is with the less mainstream brands, just look at Sony. So look for used once and get the bargain of the century. In Sweden it was a tough sale so I got 20% discount on a new one just a month or two from launch.

Bigger sensor, more features, imo better IQ. Plus it was much cheaper.
-
Didn't have much to say about it. Its a good camera with great bang for the buck so I just peppered it with footage instead. Didn't have much to say about it, its a good camera with lots of bang for the buck. So I mostly peppered it with footage.

Thank you all so much for the input. I find the results and comments so far very interesting. I will start preparing a score board for part three. /Mattias
