  1. The best thing for us in Sweden is that the G6 dropped to $250-300 within a year and so will this. Might get one then.
  2. Both him and I have repeatedly been trying to tell you exactly that. And it was already discussed and pointed out before and after in the thread. Not I nor him are debating the use of an adapter for m4/3. I even posted a video and also I own Zero Native Lenses for any system. But this thread is about the Samsung Nx1. So no apeture control on any Canon glass and no focus on his favorite lens that he now wants help replacing. So now when that's out of the way :) Samyang 12mm is a good option but if you can live without filter threads I know a guy selling the Samyang 10mm pretty much brand new for a decent price. Think he used it once.
  3. I've never used auto focus in my life and imo it's not even invented yet. But again. What adapter are you speaking of that allows the Canon ER-S electronic focus by wire to function for MANUAL focus on the NX1? Or could it be that you haven't been paying attention?
  4. Please people. His ef-s 10-18 is focus by wire. It needs an electronic adapter for Manual Focus.
  5. What electronic adapter that allows the Canon's electronic focus by wire are you using on the NX1? I think every single NX1 owner wants to know because as far as we know, it doesn't exist.
  6. Hello, I just bought an Cineroid EVF. It costs about $450 and has HDMI, Peaking, false color, zebras and is small and light. I could have gotten the metal version for the exact same price but wanted the lower weight even though it's plasticie to say the least. Ovet all it feels really nice and I like it. But I haven't used it yet. My camera doesn't support its 1080i only until it's next firmware that's in final testing as we speak. Now I received the option to return it and ad $150 and get a used Alphatron. Different beast with HDMI, SDI as well as ability to convert between them, waveform, better build, better screen but of course much larger and heavier. And it would work straight away and probably much more future proof. So, anybody tried both, thoughts, suggestions?
  7. Depends, don't remember if infinity was at 10mm or 18mm. Maybe the video shows it. I will rewatch. But seriously don't bother, only reason I used it was because I had the lens for my fs100 and bmcc and thought what the heck.
  8. I did a test once with the ef 10-18 and a dumb adapter on a bmpcc. Since its focus by wire I expected no control at all. But the funny thing was it apparently focus when zooming. So it could be used with an ND for exposure. I absolutely do not recommend it,but it was a fun experiment. https://youtu.be/T6wPNkkfq8E
  9. My GF is a writer by day and also runs a cooking blog just to keep up with her english skills and because she likes food. The blog isn't about cooking per say byt more about eating. Any who, I plan to every now and then make a video for it. Here is my second time. Its not meant as an instruction, more just to show in general what type of stuff one needs to do. Her Blog: https://malinseating.wordpress.com
  10. Maybe, haven't heard of them before. I think for me the nextime step would be the Kish lenses. The market for C-mounts have really taken a leap since the bmpcc and gh4 came along.
  11. I don't like FF as much as s35 and s16. So if what you say is true, it would be sad. Having to settle for the FFs crop factor. No tele, heavy ND and so on, no thanks. Btw, I doubt Steve Jobs is located inside his tombstone and there for not turning in it either ;)
  12. Yup, pets are great models and doesn't demand much pay. Crackers are cheap
  13. Quick test of my "new" Zeiss 25mm f1.4 C-Mount Im shooting a cooking session for my GFs food blog in a few hours and a Zombie Audtion for another friend this weekend. I was planing on using it but remembered I didn't even know if it works properly.
  14. No prob, could have been more clear on my part
  15. I know Thought it was pretty obvious so I didn't point it out.
  16. Looks like it. Or at least a similar cable and then he built a riggable box for it and dual SSD slots. so instead of buying two breakout cables, me personally I would ad the extra cost and get the box instead.
  17. Yes, the guy that started this, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/648471422/rig-friendly-c-box-system-use-any-ssd-on-your-cfas
  18. I understand and I'm mostly interested in the f35 as a possible big brother to my D16. But there has been some CCD vs CMOS discussions lately so it would be fun imo to just see a simple pan with them Vs an 8-bit camera. But by all means, Im looking forward to the test anyway since there so doubt in my mind that they would be miles apart
  19. Looking forward to that test. Do you have dslr, Gh4 or something to throw in as well?
  20. Guys seriously. It's been long enough for you to have figured out that the 30min limit isn't something technical to figure out. The reason they have it is that if I order a camera from outside the EU that records over 30min it's VAT plus an extra 14%. If it records under 30min I pay VAT only.
  21. Looks great imo and I stand by my first thought after announced, "this camera might be much better than people think, just like the c100".
  22. So here are the lens test I did with my cheap C-Mount, m42 and C/Y today. The lenses are:Zeiss Tevidon 10mm f2.0 C-MountComputar 12.5mm f1.8 C-MountZeiss Tevidon 16mm f1.8 C-MountTokina 24mm f2.8 m42-MountZeiss Jena 35/2.8 m42-MountZeiss Jena 50/2.8 C/Y-MountYashinon 50/1.9 m42-MountThey are all shot with identical aperture, ISO, ND, and WB. They have all the exact same correction and grade. So the differences is purely down to the lens. BTW, The BTS was shot on one of them with another camera and is ungraded. Guess which lens?
  23. I have a Minolta mounted Zeiss 28/2.8 that didn't cost me much (40 bucks) but that won't fit a speed booster. But one that would fit is my C/Y Tokina 24mm f2.8. Its fairly decent. Not Sigma ART sharp of course but gets the job done and it cost €30. Best way to find one is to look for an "old camera" in the classifieds or on ebay. I have made a super booring lens test today that includes it. I wasn't going to post it anywhere but a discussion on FB lead me to decide to edit it together. Feels like there is a lack of tests from certain types of lenses. Specially on the D16. I will post later if it gets done.
  24. That looked amazing. Loved the look, grain, everything. Hmm.. maybe my D16 will get a bigger brother in a year or two when prices have dropped further.
