  1. Never seen it out of stock. Online it often seems B&H and other big retailers gets to represent the entire market. When anyone that followed for example the early blackmagic releases know that it is the last place to order if you want something early. Yes I see it clearly. I mean look at those colors. Not to mention the battery life and menu layout. Looks great. To be totally honest and all kidding a side. After reading in the other thread where you used the term "superior sensor size" Im sure agreeing to disagreeing is the best we can do on subjects like these. You can go by numbers, I will stick to final output. What ever works for us. After all, it is our own money.
  2. And still "Indie Game The Movie" on Netflix looks great and is a really good moviey. Shot on a stock 5Dii, no ML. Even used the crappiest audio gear from the DSLR revolution (Zoom H4n + NTG2) and still sounds great (its all about placement and location of course).
  3. I so rarely get to see camera commercials (don't have regular TV) that it does put a smile on my face when I do I would have a hard time developing these with a straight face. Off topic but also funny
  4. Yeah I don't know what its called really but that thing smartphones do when taking selfies so the skin looks all smooth and doll like. Not a fan. But great if its adjustable in camera some how.
  5. That is huge! Looking forward to your review.
  6. It looks a little like a "beauty" filter or like the A7s waxy skin thing. Is there a way turn it down somehow?
  7. Viltrox has an affordable EF adapter with AF and aperture. Think its $130 or something like that. I bought it on sale in a store so I'm not sure about ebay prices. I have both the Viltrox and the Kipon EF speedbooster. Both lets you change aperture with the dial on the camera. AF is rather lens dependent. I have a quick demo of the Viltrox on my YouTube and will publish a review of the speedbooster hopefully this weekend.
  8. I love shallow depth of quarks I haven't seen any camera out of stock since the BMCC. Those days are behind us I think. Its like with TVs. Everyone bought a flat screen already and aren't gonna rush to the store to buy HDR anymore than they did 4K or 3D. 99% are happy with their DSLR, TV, etc and sticks with it until they feel an upgrade is needed. No one needs to stand in line for cameras, iphones or TVs anymore. Forum nerds like us might upgrade a lot but we are not enough to drain stocks. (There are exceptions like the D850 but I dont buy that it was because of popularity. It sat on shelves all over Europe when it was sold out in the US.)
  9. That looks great. Specially the red tones and the higlight roll off. How did you get the skin so smooth?
  10. Ok, was just curious. Even if you had footage to show I wouldn't "know" until I've tried it myself anyway.
  11. Where have you seen footage of this? I can't find any, just Z7 footage.
  12. @Andrew Reid They are making speed boosters for the R and Z as well
  13. Sure did Kipon baveyes. I bought it on ebay. And since I'm speaking with them from time to time they sent me a unreleased firmware update that's made it quite snappy. It's an adapter so not as reliable as native glass but still good. For video usage and MF there are no issues. Having a full frame Fuji is sweet
  14. @Andrew Reid No Im skipping the X-T3. I had the X-T2 twice, switched for the X-Pro2 both times (no need to switch drive mode for video was a big selling point). Ive also had the X-T20... so and so. X-E3.. loved it! And currently Im really enjoying the X-H1, with the EF speed booster Im getting a lot of artistically interesting results. Nothing for peepers and sports shooters.. All this boils down to a decision: Im gonna wait for the X-H2
  15. Thanks for the write up! As long as the video is on par with the 6Dmkii I'm all good Then its an upgrade with lots of new features and can be my new pro video camera. The stills as you say will most likely be to my liking so that I'm not worried about. The only other cameras that interest me is the Z6, which isn't available. And the A7iii which unfortunately has two deal breakers that I cant get by. No matter how much mental gymnastics I do with "ifs" and "buts". So I will probably buy the Z6 when its out and let them go head to head for the spot. For casual usage Im all in on compacts with my DP1 and GRiii on preorder
  16. @austinchimp Have you tried grading? My Panasonic or Fuji sure cant deliver an image that I can be so brutal with and still have looking nice and sharp. But over all, I agree, there isnt any "need" to upgrade from anything made in the last 5 years.
  17. I probably could have made an easy buck by flipping the camera the same day Ive seen a lot of c100ii and A7x shooters talk about it Sweden. Some of which I know are gonna be disappointed, they don't understand what they are getting into. These guys are pros but more about content. They don't hang out on forums and they only know the specs from the box. When these type of fellows decide to sell it again and move back to a DSLR or more run-n-gun friendly camera I will be ready to do some serious haggling
  18. I haven't watched any BMPCC4K footage yet. No videos, no test, no reviews, no nothing. All ive seen is the thumbnails in this thread. Never pressed play. Because I was afraid it would spark an unbelievable case of G.A.S. And I was so proud of myself for canceling my preorder (was among the first in line). Then I decided to download the tif-file above. Playing with it in Lightroom was ok. Feels like a decent image. Until you realize its a video frame... wow! The quality is pretty darn crazy. The noise is.. not there. Mind officially blown.
  19. That's the one I saw. I also saw an unboxing where I wondered what it was shot on, because it looked nice. Turned out to be the 6Dmkii.
  20. I would have loved a design with the handle moved forward since I kept adapting quite heavy glass on the front.
  21. My take on it. All cinema cameras I know of have a built in screen of some sort (there probably are those without any screen as well). Many of which cant display the image at all. Its for settings only. On the Blackmagic cameras however they can also display the image so you could, when needed, use only it, I view the screen as I do the battery. It is a Cinema Camera. Cinema Cameras use external power. However BMD has built in an internal hot swap battery in their cameras. Ment to keep the camera going when changing power source. So in a pinch you could use it. And on some of their models its even intechangable, so you could, when needed, use only it for long shoots as well. And the size. It is a Cinema Camera. Cinema Cameras are big. However BMD has made the brain of two of their models really small, pocket sized actually. So you could, in a pinch, strip it down and use it with just a pancake. Making it really light and small.
  22. Saw some side by sides with the 80D today. The R kicks it hard in the nuts. For me it needs to beat the 6Dmkii. The 6D already beat the A7iii, GH5, X-T3, X-H1, etc for my usage. It is my weapon of choice for professional work. So if it doesn't feel like an upgrade to that I wont keep it. Unfortunately I might have to wait a bit longer to find out. The EOS-R is in stock all over Sweden. But not where I've bought it. Turns out they are hosting some EOS-R Launch Event the October 18. And I suspect they might keep it on hold until then...
  23. The Z7 is in stock here. They are few at the time but at least one store per day seems to have one or two. The Z6 might be more popular though. But we have also had no shortage of the D850. How is the Nikon distribution situation in Asia, Australia, Africa, etc? Anyone with local knowledge? The Nikon distribution is a bit of a mystery. Even the rumor sites haven't been able to get an answer to why the US didn't get a decent stock of the D850.
  24. A mark ii in a year doesn't sound very nikon like. It might be quite some time before we see another model.
  25. I still find it funny that reviewers of the old BMPCC pulled out the word "pocket" and pretended it belong with the RX100x. IMO, its a Cinema camera. A pocket sized cinema camera. No matter how much you say that lenses, batteries etc makes it bigger. That does not take away the fact that this is a cinema camera. A pocket sized cinema camera.
