My EF to Fuji AF speedbooster has arrived Will hopefully be testing on a real gig this week. Otherwise it will be around the house and a road trip this upcoming weekend.
-
That's great news. I find it tilts/pans very nice as it sits so it can only get better.
-
That's what I said. A 50mm equivalent isn't popular. Its not like the most sold prime focal length or anything
-
Yeah a 50mm equivalent isnt very popular

I never got it before or after the update. And I've never seen it from my Sony which is supposed to be even worse. I suspect me never fiddling with the settings of the PPs have something to do with it.

Yes, the BX20. I bought the camera. Really awesome to use until the East German/Italian build quality showed its face Best shutter sound ever. To keep things on topic. I haven't seen any comments on the EOS-R shutter sound. Nice, nast, loud, silent, anyone knows? -

That was epic! (I wanted to reply with the best vintage camera commercial I know, but of course LameTube had removed it for the two seconds of nudity.. ) -
I have no idea if it is a cash cow but they also make cameras and optics for medical purposes. (BTW, a tiny bit of good news for Olympus. I atended a funeral in Finland today. 150 people. I saw two "real" cameras in addition to the smartphones. One rx100iv and a OMD EM5. At least it's something )

Please stop taggning me if its not about the EOS-R or if you are just gonna troll like this. In fact, Ive asked you before to just leave me alone, I'm not interested in your leangthy debates about OT subjects based on things you've just made up in your imagination. -

TL;DR Not interested in getting sucked in to your lengthy, pointless derailing of yet another thread. If its not about the EOS-R I wont comment. The camera starts shipping soon so we can get some useful info injected in to the discussion. -

No misunderstanding at all. Owners of Kia and Panasonic enjoy them while others look down on them. Keeping the user prices down. All good imo. It would if you wanted to. Stop paying to much, done. Btw, I'm not trying to impose anything. That's all in your head. If it does. Again it depends on the market bur in the past Canon have been reliable. Cant remember a camera besides the D850 and Blackmagic running out. In greater numbers yes. But single used once will drizzle out from within the first month. Always has, always will. There's always someone in need of the money or that was disappointed. And a top tip, dont only buy used from FS. WTB is where the bargains are. -

I agree. I drive a Kia and have been with Panasonic since the GH3. Happy with both and glad others dislike them so the prices are low. -

That goes for all cameras. We dont pay retail for used stuff. You won't find any retailers trying to push "refurbished". That would never fly. 70% of retail is standard no matter how new it is. The Sony A7iii did it. And the GH5 drops even more (most people here look at Panasonic as the Kia of cameras). -

A used one will be $1600 from day one. A new one will be longer of course. The 6Dmkii have dropped way more than that and its little over a yeae old. So you're probably looking at winter 2019. Which isn't to long. Think of it as a blackmagic release. -

Correct, Trying to adapt R lenses to an R mount or think there would be room in a mirrorless lens like Sony-E, MFT or Canon-R would be stupid. The adapter is for EF lenses which is the most sold lens type in history as well as the most suitable between the two for video (which is when variable NDs are commonly used, for stills most will want fixed NDs.) -

The HD seems sharper than the 6Dmkii which is sharp enough for me and has a more than acceptable RS. If it only matched the 6D I would still get it. -

I couldn't resist when I started doing hybrid gigs with the 6Dmkii and thought it was excellent accept for a couple of minor tweaks. All of which the R fixes. At the same time a store here had a deal where they would give the same amount in store credit for my 6D as I paid for it brand new. And an additional 15% off on all trade deals... That sealed the deal. -

This had a lot of interesting info and no drama. There clearly is a lot of interesting things under the hood that isn't printed in large font, gold letters on the box. BTW, I just hit me this morning while watching what a big deal the drop in ND will be for me. Ive had variable-ND adapters before for my Samsung NX1, NX500 and Sony A7sii. So I always thought, "yeah thats nice". But the more I think about being able to drop it in or pulling it out when going from dark to light without removing the lens.. thats more than nice. The difference between the olders ND adapters and built in like on my LS300 was that I could quickly remove it completely on the later. Haven't checked the price on that adapter yet, I suspect its not gonna be in the Fotodiox territory -
That is not my experience at all. Its very usable for video. Almost as good as my Panasonic G80/85.
-
I also doubt the NX1 have had much impact on the X-T3.
