  1. I would but it depends on the cost compared to Kipons AF Speedbooster.
  2. Thanks a bunch, really appreciate it (even if it did make my life a little more difficult in choosing a b-cam for video ). Also, the bmpcc.. wow. Stil holds such tremendous value. If I end up letting go of the X-H1 and stick to m4/3 I will ad one of them as well. I often miss having one. Thanks again!
  3. I guess its spelled "Chatter", sorry about that. Its the camera opening and closing the aperture in order to expose for the live view. As soon as you half press the shutter it shuts up but before that it keeps on making minimal adjustments. I think all Fujis do that and the Leica Q if I remember correctly. Nothing one normally notices. But with a loud lens like the 35/1.4 bellow or a EF lens with adapter its more clunky and loud so I definitely notice it. But in manual mode for video there is no problem and if one sets focus to manual with back button focus it also shuts up.
  4. Quick fix for loud EF Aperture Shatter. Use MF with back button focus for AF. Problem solved.
  5. Ok, tested the Viltrox EF-FX adapter in daylight today. When shooting in manual everything is ok. When in aperture priority it gives you aperture shatter. Quite normal on Fuji cameras and nothing to worry about. But.. with EF motors it can get loud. Regarding AF in daylight. I only have primes btw so no zoooms tested. Its all single point. Tracking works but only so and so. STILLS AF 28mm f1.8: Fast. Faster than a native 56mm but slower than the f2 WRs. 50mm f1.8 STM: Lightning fast. I cant compare but as fast or maybe even faster than a native f2 WR lens. 85mm f1.8: Decent, not the fastest lens so I can give it a B-. 200mm f2.8: Ok.. at best.. might be a deal breaker since I love that lens so much. Video AF 28mm f1.8: Sucks! 50mm f1.8 STM: Sucks! 85mm f1.8: Sucks! 200mm f2.8: Sucks!
  6. All right, take a deep breath. All we did was point out a fact within a discussion. Nothing to get worked up about.
  7. I did. The AF worked but it was very dark so not exactly lightning fast. Will test again tomorrow when the sun is up.
  8. Price doesn't alter time. But ok, you have convinced me, I will go along with you. The EOS-R is the first mirrorless camera ever. Cool that Canon invented it. All the others are disqualified for various caveats that I need for it to be true (Its really starting to go from regular fanboy bashing to straight up weird.)
  9. Its a 1DX with 4K and it was first. Lets just try to live with that instead of trying to reshape history with strange rules just to make a point (Btw, I sold my A7sii and could buy a 1DC with money to spare.)
  10. Awesome, I will download as soon as I get home. Again, really appreciate it!
  11. Tested the Viltrox EF to Fuji AF adapter tonight. So far I've only tested it with the 50/1.8 STM and I must say, it's very fast. Not native fast, it's an adapter after all. But noticeably faster than the Viltrox Speedbooster on ny G85. And in general faster than any adapter combo I've ever tried. But like I said, only tested with one lens in pretty bad light. Will test it more thoroughly tomorrow. Yesterday I was street shooting with the G85. Everything was golden until I was shooting straight into the sun. The focus just started hunting like crazy and couldn't focus on backlit subjects. I then switched to a native lens and everything was fine, very fine to be exact. Tonight I quickly tried to replicate the issue with the Fuji version but couldn't. It just worked. Needs more testing but so far I don't really see why a Fuji shooter with EF glass wouldn't get one as long as the money isn't an issue.
  12. Its there. Expected it to be worse. I always record externally so it doesn't matter to me. (And I never use AR for video in stills cameras so I'm a very bad reference on the subject.)
  13. I was pleasantly surprised by the video AF of the 56mm f1.2. Its not super great but I expected it to suck, which it did not do.
  14. For me its just a matter of a simple pros and cons list. Price is of course one thing to put on the list as well. But in the case of the EOS-R its not pricier enough to outweigh its positive aspects compared to for example the A7iii or Z6. But I have no problem finding reasons to why buying any of them is a smart move. They all seem fine to me. Its the details separating them imo.
  15. Ok, I still dont understand how it's confusing but I guess it depends on what one is used to. I read about cameras every day so I guess Im used to all variants. On a completely different note. This was a refreshing video. Focusing on the ups and downs of all systems.
  16. I dont think I follow. I dont really see how they and Leica does it any more weirdly than any other brand. What specifically is it that you have trouble understanding?
  17. The EOS-R. It ticks more boxes and brings alot of non-gimmick features to the table. Imo.
  18. The original A7 shots nicer vide than the A7ii and has imo better ergos as well. The only thing speaking for the A7ii is a pretty mediocre IBIS. But the stills are smashing, jpegs looks dreamy with some vintage glass.
  19. A little bit silly yes. 4K is still not even close to being a standard in acquisition (years away still) and plenty of cameras shoots a nicer HD than the GH5 shoots 4K. Also they weren't first. So it's a nice, not a need. And nice is a little silly, like Samsungs golf swing mode
  20. Treats goes a long way Got some nice shots of her yesterday with the G85 + Viltrox. Also did a street session, really wished I would have had a top display. Luckily I've finally located a couple of used G9s that costs less than the a brand new GH5 (which is $550 off right now). It makes it psychologically easier to pay the premium for the G9.
  21. Even more than Panasonic themselves claim. I will have my salt shaker ready for them in the future
  22. Are we still ignoring the upsides? I suggest the first person getting one starts a new thread. I'm not preordering but I'm now 100% sure I won't be getting the Z6. It's now between the EOS-R and Panasonic FF if it turns out ok. But.. if the rumor of the new GRiii I won't even care about other brands until spring
  23. @PannySVHS I just want to clarify, I don't doubt the 10-bit 4:2:2 V-log in the GH5 has higher DR than anything the GH4 can produce. I was just comparing Cine-D.
  24. I would agree. The only problem is that it wasn't exactly noobs doing it. All settings where equal. And finally, all other tests online show the same thing. So calling it a "fail" isn't something I can do, until someone proves them wrong. Which I sincerely hope someone would. There are tons of GH4 vs GH5 comparisons out there made after the GH5 launch. All show a drop of DR in Cine-D for the GH5. But like I said, that's a couple of firmwares ago and things might be different today. Panasonic have great cameras, I've been shooting on them for what feels like ages now. Its the most used camera brand on my channel followed closely by Sony (Ive owned more Sony cameras than any other brand but Panasonic is the longest lasting and most used for me). The DR in the GH4 generation was bad but I can live with it. I just wouldn't want it to get even worse.
