Sony and Panasonics financial reports dissagrees with you. Plus, if you think about it for five minutes you will figure out that its comon sense. Or do you seriously think that the entire development of the Z-line cost $5 and will be covered by selling one camera? Of course not. You are not that stupid. You know as well as I that they will need to sell alot of the Z bodys before it starts making them money. And if its not making money its loosing money. But you knew that, only an idiot would think otherwise, and that is not you. The other guy however is more of a wild card at this point.

Nikon as well as Sony sell their newly released cameras at a loss. They then try to make up for it by selling lenses. It would be suicide to let third party in from the beginning. Switching mounts is a huge deal if suceccfull. All those Nikon shooters sitting on backwards compatible lenses are no longer customers. They no longer bring profit. A camera house is like a printer. Ink is the real business. Same thing in camera stores.They hardly make anything on cameras. Their business is bags, insurance, payment plans, memory cards, etc. Also, wasn't the A7 also released with just a few very expensive primes.. seems people forgotten that.

I haven't adressed him in a long time and even asked him to stop talking to me. Nothing seems to help. Its really starting to get weird when he even calls it "off topic" when someone answers something he wrote himself. He constantly attacks people. Lie about what people have said even though its there in black and white... sigh.. Ahh, then I get you. The X-Pro2 video is fantastic, but I don't know hoe it technically differ to the XT2- Had both, minimal difference when using imo.

All else is rarely equal. DOF, Lowlight capability, DR, Resolution, the super vague term "image quality", none of it is dependent on sensor size. There are 1" sensors that kick FF sensors ass at DR, ISO Noise and Resolution. DOF is decided by the lens.

Doubt it since the Pro2 doesn't need to switch drive. the X100f does but not with a physical button. But mostly because the camera most likely doesn't have any true mechanical switches. All cameras I know these days needs the battery pulled when they freeze for one reason or another. If the power switch actually was a powers switch that wouldn't be the case.

Value for money is subjective and user dependent.

I carried an X-Pro2 and was actually approached with curiosity and enthusiasm from a couple of french sports photographers. We had a great conversation about the Pro DSLR vs what we use for pleasure. For them, just like me, there is a big difference between the work tool and what I enjoy using with my family. They all agreed that they would love to be able to use something like a small Sony or Fuji for work. But they would never risk it.

The only time Ive actually counted the numbers of cameras around Swedens biggest sports arena it was less than 1% Nikon. Literally. But Im sure you are right. It doesn't matter one bit, I still make my point, which was that you don't see a bunch of mirrorless

Thats probably true. Ive only covered European and World championships when held in Europe. Then Nikon has been maximum 1%. And the rest Canon. 0% of anything else. But Im sure in the US and other countries its more of a Canikon type situation Yup, no cinelike D in the GX85 (without hack). No video IBIS in the GX7. No 4K IBIS in the GX8. No Vlog in the G7. The list goes on. But when its not Canon its ignored
