  1. That's cool, thanks for sharing it with us. But it also makes me remember my R1MX announced almost 10 years earlier that cost me way less and also shot 4.5K, 3K slowmo and 2K 100fps all in Raw without a recorder.. I sure hope more manufacturers will implement raw video soon. And in smaller bodies. Because there really isn't anything like it imo. Luckily we have Magic Lantern and Blackmagic for those of us that wants to spend a little less.
  2. Luckily Fuji actually works with firmware updates.
  3. At the end of the day, what you do can increase sales = increase profit = more money = people will pay you to do it. Saying stuff like "try hard but don't hold your breath" and blaming "times" instead of once skill is a sure way of ending up a failure. To all aspiring photogs I say, make it happen.
  4. This type of attitude is a sure way of failing at it. That's for sure. I don't have the energy to go into long texts about adapting to how the industry is developing, branching out, multi tasking, etc. But in short you are wrong. The only once that won't make it is the guy expecting to sit at home and then get approached by clients who just want someone to press a shutter button. I have worked as a journalist, in marketing and public relations for small companies as well as huge global players and government agencies for over ten years now. And believe me, there is a lot of jobs where being skilled as a photographer is more than just icing on the resume.
  5. This is probably the worst advice I've ever come across. There is so much work for still photographers out there its insane. For every corporate video or commercial there is need for at least ten times as many stills. But luck is not the way to get a piece of the action.
  6. I don't know why, my guess is because he spends very little time practicing. "Practice makes perfect."
  7. He honestly doesn't know much about still photography either. But he is entertaining from time to time.
  8. Since when did we start blaming cameras for "over exposure"?
  9. Yes it was about time. Not to mention Kobe Bryant who has been due for quite some time as well.
  10. Like I said on IG, thats a lovely frame. You really should extract the DNG and edit it for print
  11. Im up for reliable4ksonywithdecentwhitebalance.com largesensorpanasonicghcamera.com samsungnx2.com fujiwithfullcustomizibility.com nikonmakesaneffortrinthemidrangesegment.com blackmagiconsaleagain.com pentaxkeepsitsimple.com fastprimesforthecanoneosm.com
  12. Wow that is insane, for a mirrorless. Its one of the main points why most pros still choses DSLRs.
  13. Exactly. I love Thorsten Overgaard saying, "if it doesn't affect exposure it shouldn't be on the camera". I like nifty features as much as the next guy. But I shure don't "need" them
  14. Better is always subjective. The Canon is better than the Nikon in some respects and vice versa. I would most likely recommend people the Canon in this segment. Higher up there are times where it may shift.
  15. At my store the Canon 2000d is cheaper than the Nikon d3400. Both 24mp, both metal mounts. One is newer. To a noob thats a big deal. I dont know how many times I see threads where they skip what they get recommend because the guy in the store said something else was "newer".
  16. This. A beginner is better of with a DSLR imho. Personally I use both a DSLR and a mirrorless every single day and imo they aren't ready to replace each other. Mirrorless wins in some respects and specs but gets killed in others.
  17. Heart = Nice/agreed Laughing face = Thats funny Thanks = Thanks Downvote = disagree It does not mean violence. It means that I disagree but don't have the time or energy to debate. Also, you have told me that I'm not allowed to adress you in this forum. Which is fine by me. I have at the same time asked you not to quote me or tag me in your comments. Now you tag me. And given how I am forbidden by you to answer with words I use the proper emojicon. You then call it voilence... So the next time you feel this way you can consult the list at the top of this post. This list is from now on what I mean when using the emojicons, no more, no less.
  18. Its not exactly easy to just look at an image and determine the stops needed (and Im not the guy qualified to answer). But yes, to my eye 13 looks more than enough. In many of the shots its even less. Its simply a very bright room.
  19. Its not insanely high. The good old bmpcc could pull that of imo.
  20. I realized that the camera I was looking at and thinking "Wow! Canon is gonna sell a ton of these!", Was the 2000D. So that means that the 4000d will be even cheaper with the 18mp and plastic mount!! Im sorry but if you don't see how these two models is a genius move and will absolutely fly of the shelves, indoctrinating new users into the EOS system... then I don't know what to tell you. I own ZERO canon cameras and have no plans on buying any. But my hat is off to Canon. They have once again knocked it straight out of the park and will continue to dominate the camera market for yet another season.
  21. I get that, but it sounded like the crop was an issue because it was a "hybrid" and had it not been a hybrid the crop would have been fine.
  22. Zeiss Jena are fun. Yashica Yashinon (not yashikor) are also nice.
  23. My concurrently most used camera is a x5.6 crop. But that's another subject. I just didn't see how the relative small crop of x2.4 (less than s16, GH4, etc) would be an issue for a "hybrid". I don't see why "hybrids" needs another approach to field of view compared to others. But its cool, its probably just depending on how one operates and a person style. I was just curious.
  24. I don't see why. But like I said, we all shoot differently.
  25. I guess it depends on the shooter. I don't see how it in any shape or form would be inconvenient just because its a hybrid. Luckily there are options for all.
