  1. We have a very (imo) interesting result! As you know I did this poll in two places. Here on the niche forum where most are interested in the technical aspects as well as the creative the number one spec was voted: Dynamic Range, 26% Total votes: 23 On YouTube there can only be 5 options to a poll. But since Dynamic Range was there it shouldn't matter as a comparison to here. But as you can see it was Buttons/handling and Build Quality that took the first place, 45%. Total votes: 864 A conclusion from me: This points to why the people out there still use an Canon this or Fuji that over some new "spec" heavy release. Ive tried saying it before and got yelled at by some. Ergonomics, layout, controls, what ever you call it is an important spec. That to many will trump even DR.
  2. They don't care about it. Nothing to do about it. They have models that shoot nice looking video good enough for certain purposes.
  3. Its a Canon, very happy with it for 6 months and counting. I don't remember the exact model, I will look it up. Just be aware that its a pandoras box. Because there is a lot of different types of paper out there.
  4. @mat33 it was similar for me in the beginning. I wanted to shot - edit on smartphone - publish. Lately I don't do that as often but I still prefer a camera with wifi or native DNGs for when I do. I too have an instax and love that thing. Its my analog instagram. Later on I also got me a nice large printer. At my old job we had our own printing house so I started missing the occasional large print as well.
  5. No it's more fun to pick just one. You will have to dig deep down and decide which you rather be without
  6. Like I wrote in the post. The maximum number of allowed options are five. So I had to pick only five. Because it would imo be interesting to compare the results between a niche forum like this and a broader audience. But you guys made me think that a gear forum might not be ready to look past certain things. So I added a bunch of opinions Let me know what's missing before the time limit to edit the post runs out.
  7. I made this poll on YouTube, that's why I only have five options (its maximum on YT). Thought it could be fun to compare results.
  8. I simply don't agree with you. Try to live with that. You have an opinion, great, shout it out loud. But respect others as well.
  9. When you said you don't see a difference I respected that opinion. I gave my opinion but respected yours. You however are trying to force your crap on me and are trying to say "Im right and anyone not agreeing is an idiot". The only thing I take away from that is that you are not a photographer. You haven't convinced me of anything except that. In my eyes you are now a camera guy. There is no need to debate or argue about this. You see one thing, I see another. Respect it and move on.
  10. I used to drive a nice oldtimer. A classic Jeep. A nice one. It's a very stylish and cool car. And for driving and transportation, it's way ahead ot any cheap Toyota at maximum of 2.000 $ you can get today. Driving this car regularly was a joy. The glorification of modern digital is BS. I have dozens of HQ (even on metal paper) prints proving this. Just say: "I don't like it!" Saying it's not unique, is saying you are not able to see the look when working with film out of a classic camera. And yes, you need hours to get the same look. With film it's a matter of minutes. Just do a blind A/B test...
  11. @Inazuma Thats the beauty of it all imo. We are all different and remember and react differently. For some the sound and movement is better captured with a still. For others its video, story telling or through text. It depends on the personalities commonly defined by colors (red, yellow, green blue). Im drifting further and further away from video. Lately Ive been more mesmerised by paintings than I ever had before. The "street shooters" from 1700, 1800 or even 1500 truly blows my mind
  12. In my experience its not true. No matter the skill you will never mimic film. It can kinda look like it but its not cost effective to spend all that time and money, imo.
  13. I thought this video after 1 month of use was a bit interesting.
  14. These new third part lenses like the Samyang/Rokinon AF line is really changing the game and can make the A7 line relevant to a much larger audience. I have raved about the A7 in plenty of reviews. The biggest negative have always been lack of good but affordable AF lenses to complement adapted glass. But lately thats all changed thanks to these third party lenses and the new cheap but awesome Sony 85mmm f1.8. It has also pushed the used prices down so I can pick a used Zeiss 35mm or a new Samyang 35mm. Same goes for the Zeiss 55mm vs AF 50 and Sony 85mm vs Batis 85mm. And now there is also a wide angle. Perfect.
  15. Ive told you two times already that I don't want to debate this with you. You can post whatever you like, I don't care. Ive never said you couldn't make fun of whatever you find funny. But if you quote me and try to push your opinions on me as facts, just like you are doing in this very post, then I will reply because you are not the internet police. There is an ignore function in the forum. Feel free to use it on me.
  16. Hey, 2007 called... it wants its frame rates back Let me run and buy a GH5s.. Im so exited for 1080p 180fps. Specially since the old Red One I had did it in 100 fps Raw Cinema 2K for (a little) less money
  17. I would feel ripped of paying release retail on the GH5 and thats top notch technology Staying a generation or two behind is the way to go imo.
  18. You know Im the first one in line at the flee markets hunting for old pro gear. But you wouldn't believe how many email me so I can sugest "something as affordable but new at Best Buy" because they "don't trust ebay", "live in the dessert", "are scared to get something broken", etc, etc. I kid you not. At least 100 people have asked me what adapter I have used and not been satisfied with the answer "cheapest one on ebay" or even "a K&C from ebay". They want the exact link to the exact same seller otherwise they are to scared and literally walks away from ever trying to adapt an old lens. Minimum 100 people have done that. And Im just one guy. So not defending Canon here. But surely I see the potential buyer for a camera like this.
  19. Not according to your earlier posts. But like I said, lets not debate this. Some people would rather have an a6000 and some people think mirrorless sucks ass. None of them is right or wrong. There is no "better" camera, there is only personal opinions.
  20. The best part about this new Fuji imo is that it spawned this article: https://www.fujirumors.com/photographers-anonymous-hate/
  21. Panasonc doesn't make DSLRs. And the a6000 isn't a DSLR either. And none of them takes EF lenses natively. (also, specs does not mean jack. You can't take pictures with specs. If megapixels and generations is all that mater, why don't you just buy a smartphone... )
  22. Personal opinion about a dead system. Just because your budget is low doesn't mean you don't want a system thats still alive. Im not going to debate this. Canon wants to make a low end camera, why in gods name is this something to be upset about...
