  1. Even the original M gives really nice images imo. Slow af but workable. And of course it gives raw video as well.
  2. I tested all of them side by side and posted a comparison on YouTube. C-log was the best looking imo with the best DR. So I never touched the other presets again.
  3. Lycky for me that I have a Pentax Q then Btw, there are more mirrorless cameras on which to adapt d-mount.
  4. I would not normally use c-mount cctv lenses I stick to Kern and Zeiss. Familiar territory.
  5. I will be able to post some experimentation with s8 lenses soon. Have a few in transit.
  6. I shot C-log and exposed to the right (ETTR) at all times. Loved the results. Never saw any issues. I often used a variable ND held with a Xume magnetic adapter. For audio I used the stereo mic X.
  7. If you don't like replies an internet forum is a bad place to post...
  8. You didn't mention the pros of the speedbooster nor the downsides to going native as if Panasonic paid you.
  9. The Canon 35mm f1.8 LTM can get some (imo lovely) swirl even with a m4/3 camera (the old gm1). I wasn't blown away on the FF A7. It was decent on the APS-H Leica. But definitely cool on MFT. Will have to try it on APS-C this week.
  10. Many if not most m4/3 lenses cover APS-C. And it might be large, but not that large.
  11. None what so ever. They could be making apple money for all I know.
  12. Its a beast no matter what imo.
  13. Im just going by holding both cameras with minimal setup for basic shooting. Camera, lens, monitor, evf, battery. With those components the Sony was so heavy that anything more than a few minutes was an absolute no go.
  14. Yes but one doesn't have to do like Canon or give up and go bust. One can at least try to get the word out Imo its better to get one or two reviews every odd week than 0. Also they could focus and send it to people who knows how to use it. Of the mainstream bloggers its probably just Philip Bloom and Marcus what ever his name is who's worth the effort. But they would definitely get the word out.
  15. It wasn't any 2.2kg thats for sure. More like 15 kg with the ENG lens, monitor, etc. My R1MX was about the same weight fully rigged. But like you said, both are easy rig materiel for long days of RnG. Not that I personally would use either camera for such shooting.
  16. Sending out to youtubers is only the cost of shipping + a couple of hours for an intern handling the information. They only need one camera. I have only reviewed one camera before buying it (LS300) and was in contact with Sony about another. Both companies used a "loaner" that was passed around. If they are that short on cash I wouldn't buy anything expensive from them since they risk going bust.
  17. Its made for APS-H. Most recent Sigma ART lenses are. There is the Metabones Devil with x0.5 to Pentax Q. Gives 0.666 aperture So maybe MF to MFT is possible. And there is of course the MF to FF that gives x0.7 crop. If they ever release the Leica M to Fuji one could tack them MF to M (x0.7) to X (another x0.7). In theory at least.
  18. The point of a gear expectations thread on a gear centered forum? Isn't that obvious?
  19. Or save some money and weight by getting the lighter Red One MX. Gives you recode as well In all seriousness. The F5 is cool and all but man is it a heavy beast, R1MX heavy. The reality show about the company I work for was shot on it and I asked to try it out without the easy rig... wow.
