What are the good medium format deals in 2017?
Mattias Burling replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
If we are talking Packfilm the suppliers still have fresh stock for years to come. My local dealer said he had 5000 boxes It sure did. I love how Hasselblad waited in the beginning when there was a fierce megapixel war. 2, 4, 7, 8 and Hasse went "F..k it, 22mp". I mean thats a lot even with todays standards. -
Looks really nice. Very detailed indeed. Btw, read the article, and I know we are talking "real" cameras here. But the Nokia 1520 actually got 4K video added in firmware
-
She sure did. Last winter the other local paper did a similar article but with the dog on the cover Minoltas are just awesome. Any camera I put their old 50mm on is always just so sweet. Have a couple of zooms to. Even the slower once are nice. I haven't started using it yet. But Im gonna cover the European equine championships with it next week. Not the competition, Im following the veterinarians. Mostly stills but also video. So straight into the deep end

What I meant was that the D500 is a Pro camera in their minds and therefore disqualified to be considered "Best Prosumer". And in the Pro class they didn't want to give it to a crop sensor at all.
-
My guess because the d500 is considered pro but is not FF.

Thanks It was about mee and Instagram. I think the interest for the town's paper is that Im as far as I know one of only two frequent street shooters around here. I guess they picked me because I have alot of followers and my youtube. I got three full pages + cover which is flattering The picture was really cool. On my Instagram from just a few days ago there is a picture from me of the guy when he is about to take it. Pretty Meta.. He used an A7 and a vintage Minolta zoom. Bought after watching my videos.. He also handheld a cheap china flash in a soft box. Focusing was an issue but he nailed it in three tries

I agree, its my favorite interchangeable lens Fuji of all time. Very nice and intuitive. Gets out of the way. Plus it made me look pretty cool on the cover of a newspaper this weekend

So the EISA awards came out today. Its put together by "journalists" from different countries around Europe. (Please note that its not working journalists that use a camera. Its “journalists” that write about and review cameras ) Any who, they say that 2017-18: Best DSLR, consumer Canon 77D Best DSLR, Prosumer Nikon D7500 Best DSLR, Pro Canon 5Div Best Mirrorless, consumer Fuji X-T20 Best Mirrorless, Prosumer Sony a6500 Best Camera Sony a9 Best Compact Sony RX-100v Best Super Zoom Sony RX-10iii Best Hybrid Panasonic GH5 Best Instant Instax SQ10 (yeah right... ) Best Screen EIZO CG2730 (I agree, Im looking at it now ) Best Prime Lens for DSLR Sigma 135mm f1.8 DG HSM ART Best Zoom for DSLR Tamron 150-600 f5-6,3 Best Pro DSLR Lens Canon 16-35 f2.8 iii Best Prime for Mirrorless Sony FE 100 f2.8 OSS Best Zoom for Mirrorless Olympus 12-100 f4 Pro Best Pro lens for Mirrorless Sony FE 70-200 f2.8 Best Photo Innovation Tamron 18-400 f3.5-6.3 Di ii VC HLD Best Smartphone Camera Huawei P10

I bought all three. But Im sorry to say that I don't feel any anger. I guess its because they are free to sell what they want just as much as I am free to buy what I want.

I agree with you, it should have been in there from the beginning. But I forgot what we decided Canoning was exactly, besides making stuff that works as advertised. At least it isn't Sonying Maybe they wanted to clearly segment it to the X-T2. And now when the dust has settled they can add it without loosing the customers that already bought both. I think a 4K X-Pro2 from the beginning would also have stopped many from going the X-T2+X100f route.
-
I love this camera. I even sold my X-T2 to buy it. And honestly, I much prefer using it for video over the X-T2 (mostly because of no need to switch drive mode). And that was despite not having a tilt screen or 4K. Well, soon it will be one less drawback. http://www.fujirumors.com/major-fujifilm-x-pro2-kaizen-firmware-update-will-add-4k-video/ To bad Ive sold it PS. Speaking of Fuji listening to polls on rumor sites, "..In fact, it was your feedback and negative poll results, that killed the monochrome X-Pro1.." What a big f...ng shame. I would have soooo bought that. I loved my Leica M Monochrome but couldn't justify it when I also shoot film. Something more fuji priced would have been sweet.

Ive seen some Pentax 645s with digital backs in that price range. -
Jvc GY-Ls300 finally gets 4:2:2 4k and other gifts!

Ive used it. But only with a Canon EF lens with a pretty noisy focus motor and an adapter. I suspect there are much more quite lenses. Like a native Sigma art without regular focus gears. -
No-one watches in 4K but if you want to use it go ahead. Most TVs on shelved in stores are 4K but no one uses it and TV sales in total have been declining for years anyway. Here is a fun experiment! Lets all ask 10 people among our friends and neighbors if they regularly watch 4K. And don't ask fellow nerds like us, ask regular people. Ask your parents. If its more than 2 people Im gonna declare a revolution The 4K evangelists yelled at me already three years ago and said 4K as a world standard was just around the corner, "look at TV sales idiot!". Sigh.. Im still waiting. They claimed no later than 2015 Also, not all cameras downscaled 4K looks better. Some cameras do a better job of that them selves so shooting HD on them makes total sence. Imo, 4K is still just "nice" not "need".

I think the Nikon flat is sweet and grades very well. Plus it gives you 13 stops of usable dynamic range. Information which is lost when not using flat.

They are very fun for sure. I love to zoom in on the picture above and see how she has a long hair stuck in the side of her mounth. It drifts in and out of focus on its way down since its such a SDOF and it is tack sharp. I mean its a hair. Thats resolution and detail imo
-
Yeah they where cool for my dog as well.
-
The Jena Pentacon Six is very soft. At least mine. The Mamiya 645 lenses ive used are knifes with mojo

I know, SEO is a big part of my day job. So Im part of the problem as well

The rumor sites at least provide one product, the rumors. Then they fill it out with featuring content from others and pay the bills with affiliate links. And now they are they are also being parasited by for example NOFS. Fuji rumors for example always seems to know everything first. And he always direct the traffic to the original source when using others content. All good imo. He has now started to watermark the f...k out of his pictures because other sites just steals it straight away without giving credit.

Ive only used the x70 briefly and in form of the ax100 (pretty much the same camera minus the XLRs). And Ive used the XC15 quite a bit in form of the XC10 (again, same camera minus the XLR). I think the AX100 is fun to use. Very sharp and actually quite underrated. But I definitely prefer the XC10. I still love the image from that thing and decided a few months back that I will buy it again. Just stalking the classifieds after a good price. But Im sure both can be used for everything one expects out of a small camcorder.

I didn't read your post because its was to long and probably just useless insults. But to the rest, here meanwhile is actually showing and proving exactly my point in the first post. He haven't even read the article from Reuters that writes about a successful outcome for an investor in a profitable company. Instead he goes by NOFS click bait fake news headline that was first started by a hatemonger/blogger that nows squat about pretty much anything. So what we have is a chain where everyone only reads and takes in the fake sidetrack story while at the same time believing that what they say originated from the original source. And we all know this is a global problem in actual news as well. People want to believe the fake version of things rather than reality. We see it in politics, war, you name it. And it is a problem.

I hear you.

Please reread the post, check the spelling in a dictionary, watch all seasons of South Park, learn to take a joke and then get back to me I'm further from being a racist and a homo-fob or derogatory to people with disabilities than you. Unless you also have worked officially in a government agency with these exact questions. And also have some sort of training backing it up. Not trying to have a pissing contest with you, just feeling you out to see if you are just an arm chair crusader or seriously offended. If so, sorry you feel that way BTW "2. Assburgers can also be used to describe anti-social or otherwise retarded, socially inept, or offensive person(s) or groups of people who are tolerated, even welcomed within a particular group, because the host(s) lacks courage or incentive to stand up for moral principles to kick them out." Again, not talking about this place.
