No over heating, no puke ugly colors, no heavy crop, external controls, evf, flip screen solid build. Lots to like.

One can hope. The current E-M5ii is sitting in quite a weird spot as very little would make one get it instead of the Pen-F (new sensor) for a little more or the E-PL8 (same sensor) for a lot less. Not to mention the very affordable and smaller E-M10ii with 95% of the features. So maybe it will get an update a bit sooner.

I only two cameras Digital cameras that is. Then I have five or so 35mm film cameras, four MF film, one Large format film, two Polaroid, three s8 and three s16mm (Btw, your xt2 reports have been very interesting.)
-
I might, but after the initial price drop. An E-M5iii would probably be a preorder.

I would love a cheaper option to the E-M1ii and therefore my hope goes towards an E-M5iii. Today I noticed that the E-M5ii has been taken of the shelves at several large stores and stocks are running low at the others. So, Anyone heard anything? What would you like to see in it? Personally I would be happy with 4K, not for the resolution but for less artifacts. And of course the low RS of the E-M1ii.

Big Sony fan. Have made very positive Sony reviews. Loved the A7, FS100, RX100, RX100ii, Nex-5. Liked the A7ii, a6000, Z3. Could live with the A7sii, if I could get one at half price. That banding does not justify $3K. Super disappointed by the a6300 and RX100iv. Biggest issue is that they sell broken stuff and say its supposed to be that way. Overhype their own specs. And the lovely colors of the fs100, f3, f35 has been replaced by puke. All imo of course. I can still see the appeal. Totally respect people who likes them. No camera is perfect. Wouldn't mind owning a RX1.

EM1 II sensor DXOmark Score, I wanna believe it:)

He has it set to normal in the image. -
If they give you all that they will find another way to disappoint.

This is good news. I was afraid the g80 would have the same look as my gx80 and not like the imo nicer g7. Thinking about buying one as a b-cam to my Olympus when the gh5 makes the prices plummet.

The Thread for Good Deals and Discounts
Mattias Burling replied to Mattias Burling's topic in Cameras
For sure, but even if I see a deal for US thats not available to me I would post it here. Because someone else might be able to. So lets keep all the deals coming. Ebay, local, mom n pop store, flee market, what ever -
I've never heard of any fellow film shooter that pours E-6 in the drain... they would be total outcasts in our community. And we can always compare the environmental impact of Chinese camera factories, mountains of "old" digital cameras that quickly gets replaced, trees for their boxes, diesel for the container ships, the batteries, the plants to provide the power, etc. Nothing is good for the environment these days. On Topic!

I often come across deals that I think are really good. Both used and new. Often Im not in the market to buy at the time or its not what Im looking for. So, why not a thread where we tip each other about good deals and discounts. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation, connection or any other reason than feeling like it to why I share this. Recently I tipped the forum about Cyberphoto who are selling a Samsung NX1 + S Zoom + Battery Grip with warranty for a good price. Now its about them again. Yesterday they had an "Evening Deal" for just a few hours. It was 10% off on the E-M1ii. Today its an a6000. My guess this will be a reappearing type of deal. This is the same store that sent out 20% off on the NX1 and GX80 when they where brand new. The G7 was almost down to€200 at one point. So, it could be worth keeping an eye on. www.cyberphoto.se Both times the Evening Deal has been at the very top. To make it easier to spot in the future just look for the word "Kvällskampanj".

NO!!! Digital Bolex has stopped making cameras!
Mattias Burling replied to Dave Maze's topic in Cameras
Lots of the not so heavily graded shots in this imo. And its always fun to try and pick out the $$$$$$ lenses vs the very affordable Kish Primes in this. -
I often use that video as a benchmark of great looking footage Funny how personal the whole look thing is.

The Bolex can look very clean as well without going "videoish". -
Preorder price in Sweden is 4990skr which is 500 (€50) more than the 35/2. So take your local 35/2 and add 15%.

I would love that touch bar Sony is the king of Hipster but that just imo.

Think there is about 10 channels/blogs showcasing all three new cameras already. Lots of links and info in this article: http://www.fujirumors.com/fujifilm-announces-gfx-x100f-x-t20-xf502-first-looks-pre-orders-more-live-blogging/

In the beginning of this video he shows of some pretty sick skateboard footage that showcases the X3000 stabilization.

Metabones smart adapter.
-
I have used it a bit. 1. Yes 2. Metabones work great. 3. Yes. 4. Its ok imo. 5. On par I guess or the NX1 might be a tad better. Here is IS and AF with canon glass. This is all hand-held with a Canon 35mm IS.

An observation from a fellow on the rumor site. Could be Fuji on the rise. At least in Sweden where mirrorless always have struggled they are becoming a household name. "The total sale share for the 3 top sellers awarded 2016 (2015 sales) is 72,9 %. The total sale share for the 3 top sellers awarded 2017 (2016 sales) is 63,2 %. I guess this indicates that others vendors further down the rank have had higher shares lately, as I doubt mirrorless at large is losing sales momentum compared to other platforms..."

And Nikon, Fuji, etc.
