  1. Could you summarize? Started watching but almost 30min...
  2. The worst that can happen in my experience with a 5Dmkiii is nothing. If you ask me the old talk about reliability on the mkiii is outdated. Not once has there been any sort of issue for me that wasnt 100% my fault. I sometimes get contacted by people who has had issues and it always turns out to be a cheap CF card or that they aren't using a 5Dmkiii.
  3. I say the D750 is worth it. Not sure the d7200 can change aperture while recording or has zebra. Also full frame can be pretty sweet from time to time.
  4. I guess, doubt they would remove it.
  5. If you had actually read my posts.... I was very clear about expressing an opinion, so no, Im not wrong, I just have a different opinion than you. Deal with it. You would have also seen that I did freeze and post a frame that to me looked "same same". Sure there might be some minor improvement but still a jello-cam. And it the improvement could have been mearly the angle. And I was also very clear about it being ok to disagree. Just because you think it looks much better doesn't make me think you are in the "right profession". I mean what did you think my job was, "Rolling Shutter Inspector"? If it has more or less RS is of no concern to me professionally. There is no way in hell we would ever use a RX100v for anything a smartphone couldn't do just as well. I have a rx100iv for family trips and would gladly switch to the V if I saw some major improvements. As of today I have seen no tests of the RS being dramatically improved. Its same same imo. And I was right in posting my "PS." in the last post and it seems I must do it again because as we know, cameras is so so so sensitive and important that everyone has to agree on everything or be enemies PS. History of the forum dictates that I better point out that I'm not ripping on the camera nor of the children to those who are considering a purchase. All I'm saying is that imo they haven't reduced the RS enough for me to give it any extra attention. Maybe someone can show a test that shows some real difference because the one above was not very convincing. It is ok to disagree.
  6. Same same imo. It could even be the difference in angle and they are actually identical. But, if we say the V is better and this image is correct. Both are still bad enough for me to answer "yes" if someone asks "Does it have terrible RS that I need to take into consideration when using it handheld?". So the best case scenario is that one has bad rolling shutter and the other has a tad worse. Its like having two boxes of milk, one is a week old and the other eight days. But both are still usable. I have had the Samsung NX1 and own a RX100iv which both have terrible RS, still very usable cameras imo. I would even go as far as saying the a6300 which have the worst RS I've ever seen in my life is workable. But in no way does the rx100v compare to a global shutter. A BMPCC which walks all over that rx100v footage in terms of RS still feels like a jello bonanza compared to a GS. PS. 7. Global Shutter...... your kidding right? I've used enough Global Shutter cameras to say, this ain't it
  8. Imo, The gain of getting the d7200 would be rather minimal. I would try to go all the way for a used d750 (Or d500 if money was less of an issue).
  9. On the d750. 1. Yes, very. Zebra is pretty much all I ever use for exposure. 2. Yes. 3. ? Never used a d7200 4. ? 5. ?
  10. Congratulations! I've never used it for anything narrative (hardly ever do that kind of stuff). But I did use it for some corporate freelance and it turned out nice. The client seemed very happy. Regarding the WB. I mostly used it in auto with preserved warm tones. Worked great for me and was very suitable for my grading style.
  11. I would prefer to turn the IBIS on when it was shaky and leave it in s35 on a tripod or steady handheld
  12. Both. A s35 without IBIS but IBIS when cropped. The cropping should be stepless/variable like on the LS300 for prime zoom, etc.
  13. I have only played a little bit with the d5500 so I cant say anything for sure. But one thing I do love about the d5500 is the size, its tiny.
  14. Its more saturated than bmd film. Closer to clog. But yes it gives you more shadow detail. At least one extra stop of DR, its 13 with no doubt in my mind. In this I put it next to the bmcc which would be very close to your bmpcc.
  15. I always leave it just as it is. Sharpness as well. Looks great imo.
  16. They could have a s35 and crop it for ibis.
  17. Cheap focal reducers and adapters can control the aperture of Nikon lenses, manually. Another plus with Nikon is that you can use the lens on pretty much any camera.
  18. I dont believe they will either. But if they did the lenses could still cover and they could have two lines just like Canikon and Sony does. Also JVC fitted an ND wheel behind it so I think IBIS would fit as well. But again, it wont happen.
  19. Thats not the numbers I have, but just like the crane it might not be written in stone.
  20. Yes, 100%. Anything with zebra is blown and anything without is good. I dont have any issues recovering highlights.
  21. I always ETTR C-log. Works great for me and makes the workflow fast.
  22. Not my thing. I so rarely use things like that so owning it doesn't make much sense. That's why Im looking forward to the upcoming smaller version...
