If anyone could share a clip in the original footage thread I would highly appreciate it

Agreed, and for us that want extra premium there is the Canikons Does anyone know of any good cages to give a gh4/5 a beefier grip without going overboard?

Original camera files - download and share!

Anyone with time to share an original X-T2 file? -
Ive had more Panasonic mirrorless cameras in my hand than Canon DSLRs. So it isn't familiarity when I say that I definitely prefer the Canon ergonomics. Its simply a better and more comfortable grip for my hands. Best mirrorless ergo imo is the NX1. 5D, 1Dc, and Nikon D750 are among my top pics for grip. The xc10 is nice but I would have preferred the chunky c100 grip. At the bottom lies Panasony. But thats for my hands. Im a tall guy with long fingers so thats probably why. People with small hands will probably feel different.

Either way, you dont need an expensive mic. Whats important is to keep it close and get your background noise in order. In the video bellow they try lots of mics, cheap as chips and very expensive. Keeping them close in a booth and the difference is minimal. I suggest all that are new to audio to watch this.

The difference being that Canon "released" cameras, Panasonic"announced". I can do it to, Hey everyone! I would like to announce a new camera. 16K 500fps Raw for $25. My moto is to let Panasony and Canikon play catch up. To be released later

Oh yeah, no question. That why I found the joke ironic given that Blackmagic is pretty much the only sub $1k camera that can compete with it. The joke kinda took a nosedive from the start

Here is another shot on it.

Probably.

Im also betting on the Raw Recording meaning for stills only from looking at the menu. But if Im wrong it would be awesome.

Jesus Christ Monkey Balls!

True, film is still top dog in many respects.

Ive been happy with the Rode Podcaster for quite a few years now. Very nice and "dry" sound. Works great for a booth since its the kind of mic you get close and personal to. And its pickup pattern is very shallow, meaning very little need for soundproofing compared to something like a yeti. It picks up very little reverb. If I was looking at Blue I would be leaning more towards the Spark for VO. Yethi to me is more of a round table and in camera type mic. If you want something more professional a popular Radio Broadcast mic is the Shure SM7B. We have it in all our studios at work and I think they are nice. Then you need to feed it phantom of course and have a proper audio interface. The podcasters and such are quicker to get going with since its USB.

Hope they sent you one, liked your review of the e-m5 alot. I had the first em5 and the Pen-f for home movies and absolutely loved the ibis and colors. Only problem with the original em5 was 30p only and moire. The Pen didnt have a mic jack. The em1ii wont be as gorgeous as the pen-f (which is straight out a piece of jewelry). And bigger/pricier than the em5ii. But I might have to get it.

Funny part is that Blackmagic can actually compete with that camera in the sub $1k segment. Canikon, Panasony, Red, you name it can not. Unless you sell your children to them.

4K Confirmed, decent bitrate as well.

Only thought in my head for the next 50 minutes, "please be good, please be good, please be good...".

Yes, at cyberphoto.se No idea about other countries. That XLR-thing made it a bit more interesting. But now I can only think about the new MF Fuji and hoping it will be within a reasonable budget for me.

Preorders are up but this is a wait and see kinda camera imo.

This is from 43rumors "“6K PHOTO” is a high speed burst shooting function that cuts a still image out of a 4:3 or 3:2 video footage with approx.18-megapixel (Approx.6000 x 3000 effective pixel count) that 6K image manages. The name ‘6K PHOTO’ is tentative."

That's only for 1 second though, i think? Still a nice feature. It says 6K 30p and then in a different square 8mp 60p Photo Burst. A little click baity imo if both are for photo only. I hope we are wrong but not holding my breath either.
