Yes but with an equivalent lens the A7 is bigger than a Nikon D750.

If you did vlogs on a regular basis I would definitely watch them Any who, An important aspect to this whole ordeal is not just to protect buyers. But also sellers. Ive sold stuff here before as well as on Facebook and other places. And even though I accept PayPal I do NOT accept buyers protection, and I never will. That is to protect ME. The only times Ive ever been scammed is when Ive sold things. If you sell something with Paypal and buyers protect, there is nothing that stops the buyer from refunding the cash and keeping the goods. You have zero protection as a seller. Ive only ever heard on one single case where Paypal sided with the seller. Ive been scammed twice as a seller and there is nothing I can do about it. So, since then I only sell to people that trust me, others are welcome to shop some place else. I realize that the recent event here will make it harder for me to sell under that policy, but I rather sell to someone local in Sweden and get a lower price then risk being scammed by an online buyer. Time will tell since I had plans to offload some stuff this week

Download the Xpro2 files from the original file thread here on EOSHD, put them in your editor, raise the blacks and see what you think. It changed my mind. (Imo, The shadows are always crushed on all demo footage from all cameras imo. Never judge a camera by early testers and demo shooters. What for real users.)

Not true. I used it on a PC all the time. Works in the exact same way as it does on a Mac. -
Nothing wrong with wanting the thruth, we all do. Just ease of on adding so much "info" that's just you're personal thoughts and loosely based theory's if your not gonna be clear on it. Because that will not help fnding the thruth, it will make it harder. (Its actually a classic tactics in information warfare used everyday by nations and groups. Throw out so much info that the thruth gets lost and will always be under a thin layer of doubt. End anecdote.) BTW, wierder things than this has happened so my mind is still open to all possibilities, including but not exclusively that it is a scam. Time will tell.

It already shoots raw in all frame rates but if they did manage to ad the Global Shutter, then its a completely different story. Then I would most likely get it. It wouldn't surprise me if they added it at one point. A few of the features on the original BMCC took 2 years or something before they had figured it out.

I say it sounds about right. I did a side by side with the D750 and the BMCC 2.5K Raw and the Nikon isn't to far of. But I dont think this has jack to do with the topic, total low ball to take the opportunity just because some guy didn't agree on some random spec of a camera.

Ok, one more post then Im done until he answers. I see three theories to what happened. 1. Exactly as its claimed. Ebrahim put out an ad for an object. When he got a buyer he took the money and never sent the item. He didn't do it to multiple people. He didn't do it anonymously on eBay. He didn't do it with something expensive instead of an item worth like a sixth of what one of his camera bodys alone is worth. Or probably just a fraction of what his business that he has mention many times makes. He just threw reputation, status and morale down the drain for a few lousy. Also waisting the opportunity to make some real money on selling a 1Dii or 1DC to ten different people at once. 2. Its a deal gone wrong. The item got lost in the mail, broke, got stolen, wasn't what the buyer expected, what have you. Buyer wants a refund. Seller doesn't feel that is fair. Argument. More argument. And finally some open letter type of "revenge". The message earlier could have been part of such a refund discussion and not an admission of guilt. 3. Hacked account of an unknown, grandson, what have you. Again, Im not accusing anyone of anything, just not ready to pass judgement so quickly when I see three theories. Its not beyond reasonable doubt imo.

Lol Yes, him, Dougdale, Chris and Jordan are all in it to make couple of quick bucks on lens scams. All the videos they made are just a front. And they would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those snooping forum people. Sorry for the off topic, I will now sit quietly until Ebrahim replies.

It is video

Search for his name and the thread will probably pop up.

Yeah, I also feel that I need more info. I'm not saying he is innocent, but nor do I have enough to say guilty. Even that message posted earlier is just one side and out of context. Philip Bloom looked a whole lot guiltier than this but was still defended by the forum under the "innocent until proven guilty" principle. I will hold on to my stone for a while. (BTW, if it was a planed scam, where are all the others that also bought it?It sounds to me like a deal gone wrong. Ecatly who is to blame is the question. But it doesn't seem to be a big planned scam on any large scale. Again, not defending anyone, just thinking out loud.)

For me the built in monitor is very useful. The pocket can be shot as it is. The Micro Always needs arms, cages, multiple batteries, etc. Pain IMO.
-
Yeah rolling shutter is one or those things we have to live with now. Before 4K the RS was better but Moire worse
-
Judging rolling shutter on the display only is tricky since the BMPC4K has a global shutter but jello on the display. With the a6300 the jello on the display isn't a good measure either since its worse on the actual footage.

So fuck off if you dont like it, or am I missing something?

In a weak moment I ordered the BMMCC the day before yesterday. Luckily for me things are a bit slow during summer so they have two days delivery instead of one. So I could cancel my order this morning. Imo, Ive had the BMCC, BMPCC and BMPC4K. I think they are all really fun to shot. I don't think they are unfunny at all and I see no problem using any of them without a rig. Most of the time I just use a tripod. If I where to buy one today I would lean towards the BMCC MFT or Pocket. I canceled the Micro since its only added feature is the slowmo and that comes at a huge price, needing a monitor, rig, etc. The best image I think is from the BMPC4K. But.... lately I don't really see the same appeal to the lower en Blackmagics. Not because they have gotten worse, absolutely not, they are totally awesome. But because some of the competition have gotten so cheap that the "affordability cards" is lost. A brand new 5Dmkiii costs about the same as a brand new BMCC. A used 5Dmkiii only costs a few 100 more than a used BMCC EF and about the same as a used BMCC MFT. The 5D also costs about the same as the Micro + Video Assist. And it has no crop, it has slowmo, no battery issue, hand held form factor, active mount, decent audio, decent screen, takes stills. What it lacks is the Prores. But if you need really compressed it has AVCHD. A brand new BMCC or BMMCC+Video Assist is also just shy of a used D16. D16 has the same crop as a BMMCC but with a global shutter, long lasting battery, long lasting media, CF offload, can delete clips, the best audio from any camera Ive ever tried, subjectively nicer colors, gamma control, (a crappy but still) display, power out so you can use the EF speedbooster on it as well. And if we are up inte the BMPC4K/URSA mini class the Red One, F3, Scarlet, etc are all all plummeting on the used market. I would almost say a used BMPC4K is currently the best bang for buck of the BMDs. But that one needs an owner with some patience. Its a Bullterrier not a Golden Retreiver. Can be nice and sweet but needs a firm hand to get it there. So to sum up. Backmagic is still very very very nice and I love them dearly. They give a fantastic, filmic image. But they are not as given of a choice as they where just a few years ago when they where the only low to no compressed images out there for a low price. So to answer, yes, the BMCC 2.5K definitely holds up in 2016. But so does a lot of cameras. (btw, I like the 2.5K for the 2.5K. It gives me 1440p uploads to youtube which is what I use for both HD and 4K anyway.) (btw2, I probably buing a BMCC MFT or 5D today, summer gas or what ever.)

First rule of buying cheap: What they ask is not what you pay

Sub $1k is the goal

Just to clarify, it's the frame rate that's the problem, not shutter speed. In Europe we shoot 50 and 100fps for slow motion. 60 and 120fps is for Canada, USA and Japan. So, switch to 50 or 100fps when close to electrical lights and the problem is solved.
