Its priced very competitive as well. BTW, On my store it says 4K 60p but Im guessing its a misprint. Log sounds great though.

There are lots of info and even videos on YouTube. But until the official announcement there is little point in posting them. The get taken down rather quickly But here, http://www.fujirumors.com/online-now-full-fujifilm-x-t2-presentation-specsimagesproduct-description/ I've loved everything I've seen from the X-Pro2. I think Andrew was spot on with his review. The colors are outstanding. I also feel that the general opinion that the X-Pro2 had a low DR is rather false. Play with the files and you will be amazed at all the info that lurks in the shadows. What kept me from it where three things. 1. Already have two Leica M Rangefinder's. 2. A tad much Moire. 3. I knew the X-T2 was coming. I'm not much for preorders but I might book this baby today.

My Review of the Zhiyun Crane 3-Axis Gimbal

Yeah a 5D is a no go. Even just an NX1 is 1200g without lens. -
Ha! Actually got it replaced yesterday. Can't for the love of me figure out why I didn't exchange it for a gx80, gx8, what have you. But its like always with Sony, I want them to be good. Anyway, the new one works.... But the EVF is crooked... Probably my fault as well

You could definitely pull of some sweet dolly shots with it. -

Sure, but personally I would have so little use for it that the money could be better spent on gear I use all the time. And then I can borrow one if needed. Same as a drone imo. -

If you mount the cables with enough care, I think you might be able to mount the screen on the handle. The motors are very strong, so a loose HDMI cable like the Atomos or similar might work. I don't have a monitor but will try to "simulate" it somehow. You would of course loose the whole 360 spin thing, but how often will that be really needed. -
Yeah I should. They are becoming a bit of a joke.
-
Loose power or hdmi connection that glitched from the bumps and vibrations? When you tested it with batteries the HDMI might have been more firmly inserted.

If there is any issue its not big enough for me to notice. I have some samples and side by side in this, BTW, if anyone wants to buy the Nikon to Samsung NX from the video above, I can sell you mine.

It will be fine with two aperture rings. BTW, I can't recommend the ND throttle enough. Aperture ring and built in ND Fader of high quality.

My Review of the Zhiyun Crane 3-Axis Gimbal

Cool No the grip was fine, I also left the little tripod on there. Yes, I would say most runs are with it at 45 degrees or upside-down. You can hold it right side up and then go to 45 to upside-down and back again smoothly. The Sony kit zoom. -
NO!!! Digital Bolex has stopped making cameras!
Mattias Burling replied to Dave Maze's topic in Cameras
I just don't get why people care about looks. Blackmagic, Canon, Red, they all look like absolute crap. But they do their job so I couldn't care less. My only interest is in usability and image. Here is the manual from one of my Bolex Film Cameras that I use today. Does this mean that its an unusable camera and that I should trash everything I've shot? Should I call the lab and cancel the develop? Should I sell the all my rolls of Fujifilm? No, it doesn't mean jack. -

Probably, but all the test shots are with a 24mm ff equivalent and OSS. -

Yeah I didn't even mount the camera with any thought, just slapped it on. -

So, here is the first time I put in the batteries, mount the camera and turn it on. No tools, setup, no nothing. Just out of the box. When running Im not trying either. I wanted to show what the worst type scenario is. -
So for the Tenth or Twentieth, Ive lost count, time I will give Sony a go. Just opened the box to a a6300, charged the battery, popped in the SD, turned it on, it crashed Lets hope it does better this afternoon... EDIT: Formated the card in my computer, and then in the camera. Now it starts. Pressed record, recorded 10 sec. Looked at it on my computer... full of vertical static stripes, blockiness and more noise than a smart phone. Will update firmware and see if it helps.

Imo the design is more professional and look more like a real cinema film camera. But people like DSLRs. Same thing when the BMCC came out. People and reviewers ripped on a cinema camera not being designed as a stills camera?? strange imo. Regarding the "toy" design of the box etc, that is the same graphic design that all professional Bolex cameras have had, always. They just stayed true to the legacy. And no, it did nor come in a leather bag, it came in a box, nothing more. But I agree with you. They didn't do the best of marketing. If it was me I would have let the team step back and hire some snappy gents in suites for the publicity. Also I would have lended it to reviewers, they didn't. The only reviewer was PB who bought one and he is alway (imo) very unclear and doesn't have a broad perspective. So the pro use got lost in his review since he compared it to a F55, like everyone owned one of those. (BTW, "Hipster" as far as I know means "I dont know what this is and feel embarrassed so I call it Hipster to hide my insecurity". Just saying ) -

Thanks for the link, it looks powerful indeed. Still don't have a camera at hand to test it but hopefully I get that sorted soon. -
They where already very low so I think they will stagnate for the time being or go up. Then they will go down again. Until another company releases a Raw camera with global shutter, analog gain xlr, 5h battery, 5h media, gamma control, etc, etc for less than $3k. It will hold its value.

Sounds interesting. Personally I couldn't care less about AF. So the question for me is all about the DR at this point.

Ok, a review unit dropped in my mail today. But first let me say this: I know diddely squat about gimbals. I really don't pay any attention to them. In my work world a gimbal shot is like a drone shot or under water, in other words, something special that you use for a purpose and then you rent or borrow the gear + crew that are good at it. In my hobby and youtube world Im far to in love with proper camera shakes that I dont want to get rid of them. Of my +200 youtube clips 0 are done with a gimbal and maybe 2 clips in total have stabilization in post. Moving on. With that little disclaimer out of the way, I will know share my experience with this thing and be as honest as I can. And also do the best I can to give it an honest chance and learn how to use it. Even though I, at this time, dont feel any need to have one of these. Would be even more fun then if I turn out to really like using it. And YOU can contribute with questions that you want me to find out and that can be used in a review, since I dont really know what people want to know. First Impression It comes in a normal box, all the specs and such is written in english. So is the manual. Rather surprising is the nice and sturdy "pellicase" that all the stuff is well secured and foamed in. I have roll of T-Max in a stand develop so I might not be able to do more than look at it today. Also my BMPCC isn't here today and I think my GM1 is to light. The general feel is that its well made. It feels sturdy, all the joints are smooth, mostly metal and the plastic also feels nice. Here is some info: Weight without battery: 950g Payload Minimum: 350g Maximum: 1200g Battery run-time: 6-12h 360 degrees on Tilt, Roll and Pan. It can apparently feel every 0.02 degree change interval (what ever that is). Claim to be the first handheld gimbal with CCI (camera control interface) to control focus and shutter. Tool-less. Can be controlled via smartphone. First with three 32-bit MCUs running parallel at 4k hertz, "The number is far beyond reach of any other gimbal" (sounds pretty cool I guess, a bit nerdy but cool ) Lastly some other long paragraph about degrees ad milliseconds... sounds swell. Thats it, need to rinse my film. Will update as soon as I have it running and maybe a test shot.
