Craigslist is only for US, isnt it ?
-
I havent found one for that price, where do you guys look for 2nd hand gear ? Just ebay ?!
-
Its not something I miss, but for photos I do enjoy the full frame aesthetic, and I need a 2nd camera for some of my works. I've been working with just hte Nx1, which is great, but when I need multiple shots, I need to ask my friend to either shoot it for me, or borrow, and thats a hassle. Since I need a 2nd body, why not one with the full frame aesthetic that I can use for pictures and video.
-
The 6D, D800 or A7r are all above my budget, the only 2 that I found remotely within (around 700-800€) are the 5DM2 or A7. My current cameras are the NX1 and the Canon T3i which I will sell soon.
-
Id love to get the D750, but its way over my budget. My current budget is around 500-600€ for a used Full Frame body, I know its not much, but its already a stretch for me.
-
I thought it was far behind, but never really investigated much. Im still looking to find what I can find cheaper, I dont really have a preference between Canon or Nikon.
-
I was refering to the D600 Video, the D800 video is quite pleasant to work with. If I could get a D800 for cheap, Id totally get it. Getting an that combo, isnt suitable, I do want some sort of AF, and aperture control.
-
Where ?! I'd kill for a 5Dii for 500€....but I keep finding them for 700-900€. Idk where you guys get cameras for that price, there must be some trick, a friend of mine got the D800 recently for 1300€ and it was a great deal (usually they are around 1500€). Thats ~3x min wage, which is 496€ I believe. Where do you guys search for gear ? I search around ebay.. I can get a Nikon, but isnt it terrible for video ?
-
I live in Portugal, its pretty expensive for our wage (around 3-4 times), unfortunately Idk if ill use native lenses yet, though having decent AF would be good for stills, even though I probably wont use it for "jobs".
-
Thats no problem, since the NX1 has that covered, and would still be my main camera. I love the full frame aesthetic in Video, so matching it with the NX1 would be killer setup.
-
Im leaning more towards the 5DM2 as well, since I already have some Canon Glass, might make that jump.

Potentially interesting for samsung users: time limit removed...

Soon...xD -
Hey, Lately I've been wanting to get a Full-Frame camera, mainly for stills, but would appreciate if it could work decently for Video as well. I usually work with the NX1 for video, and for pictures I borrow a Nikon D800, which is great ! However, I want to have my own Full Frame sensor, so I dont have to bug him everytime I want to take some pictures. At first I was looking at the Sony a7, which goes around 800€ on Ebay, or the 5D Mark 2 which also goes around 800€ on ebay....now Im confused, what are your recomendations ?

Soon ! 4k 60fps ! -
Never noticed anything of that sort, but ill take a look and do some real life tests. Im gonna do some more tests with settings and do a new topic on it, and how I do some of my grades, considering a few people have asked me how its done.

NX1 and serious macroblocking - faulty unit?

Never seen this happen, I dont think its codec related, you probably have a faulty unit. -
New EOSHD setup guide gives Samsung NX1 LOG capability and more

I'd love to get the 16-50S lens, it really seems like an amazing piece of glass, but I cant see myself paying 1k€ for that lens, considering it would be hard to resell. I bought the 30mm f2 for 150€ and im really happy with it, so happy im selling my Samyang 24mm f1.4, since I rarely use it anymore. -
Thanks a lot ! Really means a lot, you're like my idol !

Hey, Thank you very much, im glad you enjoy it My current camera settings are Gamma DR (although you can try some other on the NX500, im sure you can get it similar) and Saturation -1, Sharpness -10 and contrast-3. When shooting I just look at the viewfinder, and expose it ot the left, exposing to the right will overexpose the highlights, making it look digital. Heres what a shot of mine look, completely RAW and then edited :http://imgur.com/a/u4W8D My grading settings for some of these were : M31 Lut rec709 intensity 56,7,faded film 29,4, Contrast + 22 and the curve with a very soft S shape, on top I also add film convert and then tweak the settings a bit more on each individual clip. I live in Madeira-Portugal, it is quite a beautifull place, Im in the process of doing a little video showing of the island, ill share when its done

Totally, Having a white sky/bright sky, totally bring down the quality of the NX1, it really "shines" when its darker, and then fix it in post if you need it. Coming from a canon, im still getting used to it, but the more I use it, the more I love it, every single frame of a video can be a photograph.
-
Hey, Thank you very much Im not sure what settings im currently using, when I get home ill check and post them here =) I underexpose most of my shots, I think thats how you make the NX1 look the best, over exposed shots make it look way too digital and looks quite bad, so its best to under expose and then bring the exposure up in post if needed. Heres a few more, from another project, that show mostly how my footage is underexposed when I start color grading (these were very early shots of the grading also without any sharpen) - http://imgur.com/a/CCBXl - Ill post a few more of these, and how they will end up looking when I get home. =)

Just go to Vimeo and search "Samsung NX1" the first page is filled with impressive footage from the NX1. Heres a few screengrabs of my latest video (still on edit) http://imgur.com/a/rQHhx I think the camera is outstanding in every way, color/resolution/detail is amazing, you can make it as filmic as you want, or just not at all, its quite versatile. I too am eager to have native support H265 on premiere, it will make my job so much easier.

Have the same question myself, I couldnt find decent swoosh sounds :/
-
Thank you Yeah, that sequence worked well, this weekend will try some more, and try more seriously (this time was all rushed), however, with this exercise, it made me realize how important sound is, and I dismiss it so easily.
-
Just tried this weekend with some footage I had, to do something similar. Its far from good, needs a lot more training, only the last transitions worked, I think. But still its quite fun to edit this type of thing, and including all the little sounds (no camera sound) is quite fun and something I dont usually do. Anyone know any good webiste to download free sound effects ? I took all of those from youtube, but it would be great to know a dedicated place for it.. https://vimeo.com/143796710 Password : Test
