Watched the third instalment just recently. All three chapters are EPIC! Very detailed and comprehensive. Love all the stuff Media Division upload :)
-
Will do!

You've also peaked my interest, @FHDcrew! Def be checking this one out too.

Thanks for the detailed info on the 700D. Had no idea. I'll be sure to check out some vids on YT. Incredible to think there's so much the ML team have pulled out of these little cams :)

Hahahaaa, I hear you!

For sure! ;D

Magic Lantern for the Canon EOS M really does turn this little camera into a cinematic pocket rocket. Shame so much fine detail and grain is lost with the upload. Post Process: 1. Convert video files in MLV app to Arri Log C 2. Render out from MLV app as ProRes 422 3. Color Grade Arri LOG C files in DaVinci Resolve under a Kodak 2383 Emulation LUT 3. Edit & Render out as ProRes 422 Filmed with a small DIY Anamorfake filter that I made a while back which sits behind the lens. No lens flares, just a certain aesthetic that I personally like :)

There's actually a script that we'll be working off. This was really just a camera/lens test introducing the character and not really representative of the real mood we're going for. More tests to be done to hone in on those anamorphic lens imperfections/characteristics I'm looking for. All valid points and once again appreciated!

Hey @leslie. Interesting. Just donβt call my name out three times. I might just appear behind you. Moooohahahahahaaa This made me laugh out loud! Thatβs how I like to shoot. No pants style π Just a very basic screen overlay. My VFX skills are not the greatest to say the least. Appreciate your suggestion π

Hey All, here's a quick character intro for a project that I'm aiming to direct this year. Shot on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K with SLR Magic 1.33x Anamorphic Lens Adapter. Base color grade via a BMPCC 4K to Arri Rec709 conversion LUT that I created and have been testing. Might release if there's interest. Blackmagic LUTs byBozβ’ are available to download here: https://blackmagic-luts.yolasite.com/ There's a specific "imperfect" anamorphic look that I'm going for. Haven't quite found it yet, but overall I think the combo works really well. Thoughts?

Thank you, @PannySVHS. Appreciate it π

Thanks @Emanuel! Appreciate your words π Not me π

Thanks @kye! Used a Nikon 28mm taking lens with a Century Optics 1.33x Anamorphic adapter. Very compact setup π

Been playing around with the Canon EOS M and Magic Lantern RAW over the past few weeks, mainly testing Anamorphic Adapters and Lens combos. Prepped and shot this short film in a few of hours as a test run. Color grading under a Rec709 Conversion (BMD Rec709 LUTs Available Here: https://blackmagic-luts.yolasite.com/) Personally, really enjoying this little camera. Shame the YouTube compression is so heavy. What do you think? B.

What's New? This is a brand new Natural Rec709 conversion LUT that I've created specifically for the Gen 5 Color Science as requested by fellow filmmakers. Humbled that so many put in a request after the success of the original P4K LUT and BMD OG Rec709 LUT. Thank you. LUT Features ALL NEW Kodak Vision 2 Cine Curve * softer highlight roll-off preserved shadow detail balanced saturation organic (camera) colors *Not a mathematically accurate film response curve. More an obsessive compulsive interpretation on my part based on analysis of numerous film chart data. Download Page: https://bulentfilms.yolasite.com/ (Scroll down to Blackmagic Camera LUTs)

Nice! Please do share some footage if/when you can π

Sorry for the late reply! Like @Henchman stated, loads of options. Sankor 16's are generally more "Budget Friendly" if you're looking at starting the addictive anamorphic journey. I personally like the optics of that adapter when combined with classic lenses π

Here's a link: https://ebay.to/3czrZA7 - Very cool lens.

Thanks, Bud. Voightlander Ultron 40mm F2 π

A Masked Luchadore. A Call to Action. 'Santo Drive' is a visual homage to Nicolas W. Refn's 'Drive' (2011). Shot on a BMPCC 4K with a Kowa 8z Anamorphic lens adapter. BRAW 8:1 (Sandisk SDXC). ISO 3200 π Color Grade based on my Blackmagic Pocket 4K LUT. Download Available HERE: https://bulentozdemirfilms.wordpress.com/bozbmdfilm_p4k-to-rec709-lut/
