  1. I got a little excited there, I apologize. It's just that, that red letter C really knocks me out. "With God's/ the Mod's help, I'll beat this horrible affliction."
  2. If you open a 1DC, it's no secret what comes pouring out...
  3. As someone born in the analogue period, part of me loves the idea of going back to simpler times. I waited until 2009 before getting my first mobile, haven't used one for almost a year now, and love it. I see it as a luxury not to be reachable. A sister company recently brought back the classic Nokia 3310 for those who want to take back their lives for next to nothing. Problems is that, few other will join you there. https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/02/27/magazine/red-dots-badge-phones-notification.html
  4. Very well. Anyone have real world info on the audio? Pre amps? I know it's all out there on Google, but a quick comment?
  5. Are both cameras not using the same basic, for lack of a better expression, 'colour science'?

  7. For me there is no confusion, just pain.
  8. In my case, I swapped the photos for women. Then built a harem the likes of which would make Caligula blush. But I hear ya.

"... allegedly even set up shell companies to create their own pornographic movies and upload them to BitTorrent, in order to demand settlements from people who downloaded them." - Will such wonders never cease.
  10. ISO for run and gun docs in difficult conditions. C100Mk2 ticks almost all the boxes though. And solid pre amps too.

Well, as a producer, 'they' wouldn't have the only copy. Encrypted or otherwise. Besides, blockchain tech ensures that all of the files that make up a film are stored across many storage drives and STRICTLY accounted for. Though no doubt some Russian kid is going to put the kung fu to this soon enough. But I do know a case where a traditional documentary distribution company crashed and the legal rights to the film took some time to sort out.
  12. I'm having trouble with this. I wonder what Andy Worhol would say?
  13. Matt Damon? No wonder they need iPhone marketing stunt.

Well said Matthew, thank you. I think it's like you said, one has the weigh the benefits of being a director for hire, or going it solo. Quite the challenge all things considered.
  15. I just want to know when Canon will release a camera that I can also toast food products with? And will it have a headphone jack so I can listen to how the toasting process sounds? Come on Canon, stop holding back on us.
  16. I start to love Samsung. Apple became the thing they themselves despised.

I've been producing/ directing a challenging long haul project and with its completion will be somewhat concerned around issues of distribution piracy. Moreover, I think we would all agree that the artist should own and profit from their work first, not the bastards in the middle or at the top. I'm curious to know if there are others here who are watching the implementation of blockchain tech to somehow help? I just learned of this: https://lbry.io/what Anyone have any thoughts or experience?
  18. Ahh those cold northern hemispheres with their high quality of life index... but crippling social isolation. Nice Mattias. I started with video back in the day and with the DSLR revolution moved over into stills where I was blown away with raw file goodness. However, a still photo compels us to do something that video can't, here we are forced to stop and stay with it in order to take it in. A kind of singularity, and there is real power in this. Amongst the incessant chatter, it often becomes a meditation when firing on all cylinders. Unfortunately, the concept of 'decisive moment' was somewhat shattered by cameras with a high burst rate. Ah well. Comparatively, there is something so incredibly liberating shooting stills, it's so much fun. But in the end, motion picture and sound are, for me, just so much more dynamic... but far more challenging.
  19. I know, it's super funny, in a fucked up way. Fortunately/ unfortunately as someone who constantly struggles to employ a filter on my comments, I used it as a reference point for a film an acquaintance had done. Without him knowing the website he exploded. I can only imagine what he thought after he had seen the website.
  20. Alright. But what if the person is not actually enjoying their wooden headphones and actually caught in an web of narcissistic and self destructive behaviour trying to impress others? Well now. It takes a big man to cry over his broken wooden headphones, but it takes an even bigger man to laugh at that man Anyway.
  21. I'm not sure there is that much to 'get' watching someone struggling with their wooden headphones or suitcase when they could be on the move with their moulded plastic ones. Their is a difference between an authentic nerd look and a poser. But please, for the sake of everyone here, let's agree not to debate this here stuffwhitepeoplelike.com
  22. I'm with you on diversity. But for me the is a considerable difference between 'nerds' and 'try-hards' the later of which seems a big part of the hipster architecture.
