I'm sure there is a 'theory' out there for everything. When I don't pay something off in 3 months, I consider it a house.

Wow DDunce. I"d consider yourself lucky that folks here lend their insightful experience to your query... not like the drivel that leaves you.

I think it's safe to say that the 1DC is noted for having a pleasing film like motion cadence.

Go hump someone else's leg. Sport.

Congratulations on your opinion.

C100 MkII. Sigma 18-35mm Canon 24-105mm No external recorder required. It makes little difference anyway. Lean and incredibly mean.

Canon, hammering early adopters one customer at a time.

Anyone else have anything else to offer on what gives the F35, 1Dc, BM 2.5k, Bolex, Pocket their mojo and how to simulate/ replicate this through in-camera or post techniques using other cameras? The reason I'm asking this is that I've seen these "guess the camera" topics and I find it quite interesting how folks choose the camera by its inherent characteristics and 'how' post or in-camera techniques can be used to challenge our sensibilities and possibly disguise which camera is used.

Look out Luke, DBounce is calling BS. You better beat it!

Here is another valid point you may have not considered... and it's no laughing matter. November 25, 2016 is the next Buy Nothing Day and I'd seriously consider saving everything you've got until that date and then... buying nothing. And then just start walking. To keep yourself going, imagine them finding you years later in the South Sudan or some other failed state. And if you are lucky, maybe a documentary crew will arrive as you and the current leadership cut in half, cook up and consume the ex chief minister of finance or some other ex minister. Then you can look at the cameraman and his camera... and just start laughing. And in the end, I'll bet you get more leg this way than not. Good luck and keep on yer' mean side.

4K RAW 120fps for £3k?! Say hello to the second-hand Canon C500
User replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Apologies for the misunderstanding. I am unfamiliar with the word 'creases' and it felt like a bit of a slag against Canon users. My comment was more towards the idea that it's about how the camera is used rather than the manufacturer. -
I've been watching also and nothing. But from I remember of Andrew's write up, it sounds like it came missing the top handle ($900) and idk, from a camera dealer freind, though I wouldn't want to speculate. In any case I'm excited to see where he pushes it.

It seems to me that your days of making do with less... are over.

But I absolutely agree with Aaron in that I wish there was more meat in the C100 MkII file sizes. Everything is a compromise. But have a decent set of glass, watch your exposure/ white balance and light when necessary and the image will hold together in the grade. How could it not. We already know that a 'cinematic' image will drawn the audience in, but it is the story will hold them there. And actually, some might argue that sound is 70% of a film. That seems a whole other discussion. And on a side note, some might reason that there are now so many people producing content, that time really needs to be spent developing unique ideas (and approaches to them) that will cut through the sea of mediocrity. A camera seems half the ticket... and like our old friend Herzog states, it can be better to get a job in a strip club or as a truck driver than to work on uninspiring gigs that do nothing to excite the imagination and/ or build character. But I digress.

I want you to, just for a second, imagine a camera operator, who is constantly fussing with their camera, so much so that they are not connected to their subjects and the environment around them. For run and gun single operator projects under difficult conditions, I do not believe there is a better camera than the C100 MkII. It's has everything to help you and gets out of the way so you are not always fucking with the camera. As such, one is able to keep an decent omnipresent eye on the action... and this in itself, will elevate your work. Think about it, what is the point if you are able to colour correct the hell out of half-cooked content?

You haven't mentioned what type of shooting you plan to use the camera for. Have you? I wonder if Inazuma will report this post? Time will tell.

4K RAW 120fps for £3k?! Say hello to the second-hand Canon C500

Oh yeah? My thinking is that it's more about how you use them. But we can agree to disagree. -
Um, yeah.

Hi Jason, if you are not exactly aware of the 1DC or 1DX II, this is where I would go. Many pros will roll 4k with the intension to grab stills. Large file sizes with plenty of room to grade.

You going to bark all day little doggie, or are you going to bite?

It's a serious question. But hey, while we are at it, you should know that no regular forum users here read your posts. So while you may go after newer members with your asinine behaviour it's lost on the rest of us here. I'm surprised that Andrew hasn't booted your inbred ass out of here already.
