To utilise 4k RAW u need to spend 3000$ more. 4k internal is 8bit 4:2:0...!!!? 240fps buffering!! I am definitely not going to use canon. I use sony A7s and rx10ii. they both do a great job. they both come for 3000$. RX10ii has 240fps buffering, Log recording, 4k internal, Built in ND filter and A7s has very good full HD. With this combination i was able to many jobs. I don't know how worth it is having 4k 8bit 4:2:0 and s-log3 for 6000$. May be i should use it once! Sorry i wrote this when i am absolutely drunk. so missed few good things. I already use A7s and RX10ii combination for most of the works. they both cost me up 3000$. 4k RAW will add me 3000$ more. only thing they both don't have is 10bit 422, that too in Full hd. if its in 4k hell ya its worth every penny.

Dear Andrew, i still don't believe you brought this camera with mediocre specs, But i respect your choice. No XAVC-I only 8bit 4:2:0 100Mbit in 4K[Ultra HD] No DCIP mode...? In 1080p its 240fps cache record[Buffering] limited 50Mbit/s bitrate... Why do you always support sony? even though their bad user interphase and very bad skin tones.

Here people brought Reds like chickens. Biggest problem is lack of style or a method 'you' follow to create a certain visual. Its all random.

In india, mostly from south. People ask for what equipment you have, rather than what can u do. India has tons of jobs, as long as u do it for cheap.

Sony supports time-lapse video through paid app, but its limited to Full HD only

I guess it has same bad video focussing and soft image in 240fps and very bad low light performance, But 600mm might solve bokeh issues also it might increase focussing distance further.

Thank you Saadawi and Mercer. Yes FCPX taking XAVC-S files. But yes if i want to do batch transcoding there is no option than few paid apps like Editready. Davinci won't run on macbook[laptops]. so for now i will use FCPX. Hope mpeg stream clip updates soon.

Its been two months i brought Sony Rx10ii and never had a job needed shooting on 4k, Only full HD. Now i had a job. Can anyone plz give me a solution to convert 4k xavc-s files to pores hd bit easily than FCP X Pro. i was unable to do.. Thanks a lot.

I don't think sony has good market share in india. people here use a lot of panasonic cameras for videography and the rest is canon and little amount of nikon. Although i brought it from a dealer he said he sold the first one to me. But its down south, hyderabad i am talking about. mumbai, delhi, banglore, chennai might have been selling from a while now.I can say its easily available.

Like india and some south american countries. Got very little info on specifications are, same base ISO,3200 But with internal 4k recording higher bit rate than A7rii.

I felt really bad when i knew about it, since i shoot mainly events. RX10 is a versatile camera with all the goofy frame rates and S-log and supreme 4k. have strongly decided to buy it, thats when i knew it has f-king 5 min limit. hmm...may be i wait for panasonic contender.

Yes, rest of the world has this timings, but in Asia RX10ii also has limit on 4k video recording 5 min.

Samyang cine 24mm f/1.4 is an awful lens. It won't focus below f/2.8. Tried 2 lenses results are same. they better have a good thought about releasing dedicated cine lenses.
