  1. Looking very nice! If this is pretty much ooc, this is even awesome color wise. It´s awesomely shot too! That monochrome part is really, really nice! Was it Monochrome L like on Gx85 with its digital option of orange or yellow or red filter or tweaked in post? cheers
  2. Hey Lakes, nice and very charming video! Pannys are very beautiful to grade and to get some nice color out of it. Here is one of my videos I shot last summer with the G6. My GX80 is much easier to grade, very easy indeed to get beautiful color out of it.
  3. Hallo Seb, a nice video of yours as always:) Did you use Cine V like you did on some of your GH4 videos? I think you always made that Gh4 sing. In your Gh5 video the 30p and anamorphic is a funny combination:) I agree, the IBIS is funky looking. Seems like G85 before firmware update.
  4. Hey Jase, not worried about sound so much. Was wondering if firmware update gives IBIS better performance? Still got 1.0 on my camera. Also wondering about Extele mode. It looks pretty blurry compared to my Lumix G6. Also the top three options for extele in the menu are greyed out. I can only choose on and off. Is there a way to get to choose from the greyed out area? I´m in 1080p mode of course. cheers
  5. Cool! Did you get the HDMI clamp too? Also, what is the best firmware version for IBIS? Does it really show in usage? Darn, out of likes for today. Should have saved em all up for that beautiful setup of yours:) cheers
  6. Aaah, Jase! Beautiful setup! One of the prettiest, that camera, that cage, that lens! Oh, almost forgot the handle:) Did you buy cage and handle in a set? Ebay or where from? I got myself a beautiful Tokina 24 40 2.8. It is like a rig for my GX85, awesome to hold on to. I have a question regarding stabilization. What is the best firmware version for IBIS? Does that version make a difference?
  7. Bushman Films has been contributing enthusiasm and knowledge and kindness in his posts. I always enjoyed them and his opinions and so I did with his post of the footage above. Thats what this beautiful forum is about, enjoyment and exchange. By the way, love your Fuji videos, jonpais. Please keep sharing your videos with us. Also, I hope Bushman Films keeps doing so as well. Arrgh, I just did:)

Hallo Matt! Still love my FD 28mm 2.8. Great, light and nice to touch and to focus. It is awesome on boosted m43, very nice wide open. Maybe one of the best lenses smallest money can buy. Please keep on showing your regained love for these nice FD lenses and keep us posted with your footage using these. Really interested to see some footage of the 35-105 from you. Still shooting that beautiful BMPCC of yours? Oh yeah, just bought my Tokina 24- 40mm 2.8:) Beautiful lens on m43 with focal reducer!
  9. Hey Merce! That Tokina shines on aps-c and S35 size and boosted m43. Did a few tests at 24 f2.8, slight vignetting but still nice center sharpness, great enough for beautiful filming. At 40mm a little tad darker across the frame than at 24. But across lengths still nice uniform look. So it is my 3 primes in one, plus some extra at 40:) Love the build and its gestalt! Its very beautiful to look at. Since you love yours on s35 size I´d suggest getting a G7 or GX80 again. Didnt like the manual focusing nor the haptical feel of the LX100 lens, when I checked a few times in the stores. EVF is small too like GX80. cheers and enjoy that beautiful 5diii as we will enjoy more of your videos coming!
  10. Hey Charlie! Piece of cake! Go for Natural all -2 but color at 0. GX85 has beautiful colors to grade in that profile, so will GH5. Hassle free starting point for nice color. Do manual WB or adjust Kelvin manually and you are set! With stunning locations, even better! cheers
  11. You son of a gun of a GH5 thread. Shame on you, GH5! You broke that beautiful record of the GX85 thread for the longest and most beautiful thread! Keep on rockin! By the way, GX85 files are easy to grade to get awesome colors from. So GH5 will even rock stronger color wise!
  12. Great shots, merce! 0.46-0.50 is my favorite shot, beautiful wide shot. Always lovin your composition, photographic eye! Colors are beautiful. Awesome work! When I read your vimeo text, I was cheering: Just bought the Tokina 24-40 2.8 myself. Cannot wait to get it into my hands this weekend! Still got my GX80, easy to grade, really fun to get nice colors out of it. Just the EVF is a pain, giving me a headache immediately, no matter if refresh rate is maxed out in the menu. Bought a G7 as well. Haven´t used it yet. With right grade it is very nice what GX80 can do i low light with ISO 1250. Would say, better than ISO 800 on G6. Wow, writing about Pannys again. Sorry. Just having a little conversation with you, my friend:) Cheers PS. Would you post some 24-40 shots as well? What sensor crop did you shoot the video above? Did you shoot with ND or higher shutter(-stutter:)? Cheers
  13. Hey Merce! Cannot wait to see your footage with your 5D3 Raw beauty! Didnt you try 50D Raw also? That would make you the owner of three raw cameras then:) Would donate 50 bucks, so Alex could buy an original Canon lenscap:)
  14. So you will like the nice GH5 10bit VLOG output and leave the eventual A7SIII on the store shelfs then? Did you check deezids 8bit VLOG footage? He´s been positng some of his footage on this forum. Looking awesome. But he is really good at grading. This is his reel with GH4 footage: Old Soviet camera with a couple anamorphic Lomos, 150USD, yes please!
  15. Thanks alot, deezid! Masterful explanation and great inspiration! Very nice!
  16. yeah, cool kids shooting movies with arris these days. us boring farts need to swing around these amateurish dslrs. I loved your non raw stuff already and you are in the cool kids club anyway no matter if raw or not!
  17. I second that. But @64mulford, you must put deezid at @deezid, so he can recognize our plead much better! I reposted deezids Americanah trailer in the GX85 thread to show among other posters, how awesome Panasonic Lumix material can look. Can´t wait to see Andrew´s footage with this powerhouse the GH5 must be. 400mbps will offer perfect quality for indy and documentary shooters, if GH5 has the same high standard of quality control/mangagement, which the production of the GH4 had.
  18. I´d say Panny G7. Has much, much better EVF than GX85! I´d call the GX85 EVF a pain to use due to heavy tearing, gives me a headache after less than a minute. The display I find too small for me. G7 doesnt have IBIS but a cheapo rig compensates for handheld shooting. In my opinion the IBIS does not replace a gimbal but is great to have for usual handheld work. But a rig is fine too. So G7 for much better EVF, large enough display, Cine profiles as a bonus, great handling and up to 100USD less on ebay for used and new ones. GX85 for its prettyiness, the pretty IBIS, the tactile feel of its beautiful body though a little bit too short for my taste.
  19. So, not many seem to remember, if G7 has more or less resolution than G6. We know, sensor in G7 is better than G6 but does that go for a better HD picture as well? For me it would be good enough if G7 and G6 had the same resolving power in HD. Like I said, GX80/85 seems to have less HD resolution than G6, from what I have seen. Maybe I should test myself a little more instead of bothering you guys Yes Andy, but you shot it in UHD acquisition:) If the youtube test video is for real, then G7 HD to me seems almost pixel perfect like UHD downsized to HD. GX80 doesnt. Dpreview testchart doesnt show neither pixel perfect HD for G7, but GX80 has the least resolution. GX80 does not produce these moires, whereas GH4, G7 and G85 do. https://***URL removed***/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr29_0=panasonic_dmcgh4&attr29_1=panasonic_dmcg7&attr29_2=panasonic_dmcg85&attr29_3=panasonic_dmcgx85&attr72_0=1080&attr72_1=1080&attr72_2=1080&attr72_3=1080&normalization=full&widget=437&x=0.46860437135634925&y=-0.22573302499551873
  20. Yes, Andy, I remember your post about your movie "Pandora" and your super cool screenshots! That post was awesome with great lens recommendations, as we know it from you:), and cool BTS! You wanna tease us with some teaser footage? BTW, I had a question for you in the lens thread two days ago, if you wanna check cheers and thanks! from my experience gx80 has weaker HD than G6, less resolution and more moire. G7 I cannot tell from my own experience, as it was not my test video. And I haven´t tested my newly bought G7 yet. Asking you guys. How is the HD on the G7? The youtube video I posted, seems to show obvious improvements. Inazuma, didnt you post a video of the GX7 in the yard of spooky soul asylum place? That was a cool video. That GX7 for sure had some serious mojo going. From the videos on vimeo to me it seems it has the best HD of all Lumix interchangeable cameras. Of course it should sooner break apart under certain conditions than GH4 footage with the 100/200mbit codec. So maybe was a GX7 in the Alexa body for the Revenant
  21. hey guys, since I just I´ve just got a G7 this weekend for the nice ergos, screen, EVF and for checking out the Cine profiles, I was wondering about its HD resolution. This test suggests it´s better than G6, which would be pretty awesome. My GX80 seems of lower HD resolution than my G6 to me. Pretty nice test this guy did. So in HD G7 seems to have better resolution than G6, which, to my own superficial testing, has better resolution than GX80 again. Any findings on that from you guys´ side?
  22. hallo, 50p on GX80 could mean half the vertical lines in resolution compared to the 24p mode. So 1080 24p would be much better. Shouldnt be different from the G6.

Good point regarding Pana 12-60, doesnt sound like a moving making tool of choice, I mean for fictional short movie pieces. But still, the promise of an all in one light zoom solution sounds promising, with stabilization and much lighter than a 28-70 full frame glass. So my question to @andy lee: Andy, can you recommend or say a few nice things about the Leica Elmarit 14 to 50mm with OIS F2.8-3.5, in Four Thirds mount, not mft? Looks kinda tempting, though it is not a small kit lens anymore. cheers
  24. I think GX80 has come a far way color wise. To me first Lumix with pleasing color ooc. Here is a nice example of color and camerawork with this little gem. Other than the fragile monitor it has a beautiful solid feel. I don´t know, maybe someone can chim in and tell me, if stabilization is better with new firmware. Beautiful little cam so far. Kinda torn if I gonna keep it though because to me the real weakness is the monitor, kinda fragile and pretty small, evf is bad but for filming i´m using monitor anyway. Here some work I must say showing the GX mojo pretty well. Not my work though:)
