Still have another premium kit to make one of us happy? Not me, of course, I would not buy another camera this year. Just asking. π

Awesome! Congrats. Looking forward to some beautiful BMMCCMOJO!:) Interested in your rigging solution and findings about handling as well. I was obsessed with this camera for a while. Then I found one couple months ago with all bells and whistles, small rig cage, tophandle, hdmi and cable clamp, NPF battery adapter, 3D printed custom stuff, wooden side grip, Metabones Speedbooster, RAWLite oplf and ir cut filter. All for 900 USD. A great deal, which I let go. Still it seemed a lot of money for me back then. Still does, though it was a fantastic offer.

They go for some nice money. Selling it could fund a Samyang 135mm F2.0:) @noone This lens comes under different labels such as Weltblick, Porst, Beroflex. Just like Samyang going under Walimex, Rokinon... There are a few jokes about this bulky beauty on the German gentleman forum. They are not gentle about some lenses, after trying so many of them.:) Now, very exited to see that Promura to see some light. Would be cool to see some footage, if you can find time. You sound like some of these German gentlemen lens afficiandos:) I dare you to not mean it as a joke! π

Right! For FF the Walimex 135mm F2.0 sounds right for rather little money. Not up for battle though:) Such a kewl review for that beautiful Voigtlaender. Doubt the Samyang has a review going like that. Vintage lovers, beware of the vintage Porst 135mm 1.8. The people on a German gentleman forum put out a warning for it due to its lack of quality. They call it a doorstopper for a reason.

Wouldnt mind owning a beautiful D16 myself neither:) Woundnt mind it as well, if the tone of this discussion would become more mellow again. Towards Jinni, coming from you. And towards you, coming from Ed. And between eachother. I always start to leave threads which turn unfriendly.

Last one ending in one hour on Ebay Italy. Sending you a PM in a minute. @IronFilm

I will rewatch it with the swells and peaks.:) Seriously, what an awesome review was that! Even without sound. π

Panasonic S1 V-LOG -- New image quality king of the hill
PannySVHS replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Welcome to the S1 craze.:) Lowlight is A7III level with better codec. With the 10bit 422 Vlog update- no contest. I shot half of a shortfilm with the S1 paired to a C300MKII, that without the update. I was using the superslim 75mbit h265 10bit 420 codec in HLG. Gee, is there a way to write that in a nice proper way?:) The h265 is amazingly good, except on evenly lit single coloured surfaces where it shows artefacts easily when trying to break it in grading. Have not bought the VLOG update. But coming from various GH5 projects, the 150 mbit 10bit 422 is a fantastic codec. -
@thebrothersthre3 With bank transfer (wire) in Europe, money is gone. Transfer takes one to two days in Europe. None of the sellers offered Paypal. None of them answered, if they would accept Paypal. The current S1H auction only offers bank transfer. With that, money would be gone, if account was hacked or if sale was a scam. Last weeks S1H auction offered Amex, Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer. Yesterdays S1 auction has bank transfer as only option. Since all three of them stole text and pictures from US auctions, I wish the buyers best of luck.

Hallo friends, As a S1 owner I am longing for the awesome features of a S1H. This forum doesnt help it otherwise.:) So I keep browsing the bay for used cameras to show up for attractive prices. This week three auctions turned up, two for S1H, one for S1, all of them with different locations in Italy. None of my questions regarding payment procedure and shipping were answered. Two of them have feedback as buyers only, none as sellers, one of them only a very few as seller with all of them over one year old. All three of them have reused and stolen text and photos from three other original auctions from the US. I checked that, because I was suspicious of the supposely great deals and sofore I used ebays function of showing past auctions. So watch out a little bit in search for a good deal and of course happy bidding with valid auctions. Most of them are legit but some of them might not be. Edit: One of the S1H auctions is still running til tomorrow. So, evaluate the points above.

@QuickHitRecord great share and post! I was reading through this a few months ago and downloaded the film just to fancy myself buying this camera very soon. Now this beauty is waiting for a 5inch Blackmagic VA HD. Hopefully they show up for little money. So far no luck the last couple weeks on ebay. @IronFilm You just want me to buy a second one, you rascal. π

@Video Hummus I feel you. That 60mm looks like the best resolving of the bunch. Holy, what quality at 0.95! Makes me want to give my 90mm f2.5 Vivitar 1 the time it deserves. I second Jordans post, what a review that was. I watched it without sound. Fantastic! Thanks for posting!

Dang! These look fantastic @Geoff CB. No 2 with the lady! Signature colours. Did you go by Ben Ericsons suggestion of using SLog or by Renaissance Mans variant? ProresLT, that means not even in its 444 mode, wow! Love your shots @Antoin e Looking forward to your video! Love the natural light and mood.

@HockeyFan12 I can shoot in 18MPixel photomode in ratios of 4 to 3 and 3 to 2. Sensor area of both is not full height nor width of the sensor but with much, much more estate than Super 35 and even moreso than APS-C. No extra IBIS settings. It then records in 200mbit 10bit 420 in h265. ThatΒ΄s 30p only though. You can also film in 8bit 60p, but only with 8MP of an APS-C sensor area. Would be really awesome to have a 25p option for photo mode. That would be a fantastic suggestion to Panasonic, plus perfect GH5-like-HD for the S1. π @Andrew Reid

You can say that, my well and oh so well mannered spoken friend. π Or get yourself a FS700 with a Shogun Flame and a speedbooster for less than 2500 USD.

What do they mean by short? Short on visual splendor, short on being a film, short on acceptable skintones- especially at the paragliding part? Produced by Sony?- not short on being a good joke. I usually donΒ΄t get upset about harmless videos like this. This time it is just the notion of disbelieff. Having to witness something like this, people enjoying the luscious lifestyle of material wealth but being bothered by having skintones like orange smurfs. "Trust yourself"- on being an orange smurf in the sky.

Panasonic S1H ProRes RAW 6K 12bit - download firmware
PannySVHS replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
From what I can tell, the S1H was about to gain serious momentum in the video world. Now, with the A7S3 that might change, if it performs without overheating. If the A7siii provides reliable video performance without hickups just like the A73 it will sell well. A73 and A7s2 owners will update as soon as their cashflow will allow. Panasonic should have given the S1 the VLOG/10bit as part of the package for 2000USD, the S1H for 3000. I am still not keen on spending 200 extra on the VLOG update for my S1 and I am not exited about the HD image. GH5 on the contrary has a perfect HD image up to 60p. Why dont S1 and S1H have perfect HD? Such a pretty image but falling a bit short on a few things unnecessarily, without good reason, so to say. -
Weird, that Canon never cashed in on a XC20, with 10bit 4k 1 to 1 readout up to 60p, and perfect HD up to 120p, with old school Clog, same body, 1800 to 2000 bucks. Interchangeable lenses for eos m-mount. Instant classic.

@Emanuel Heated discussuions about great BTS and lens tips. Thats what we want. How about Lmount, lacking in a adapter for Konica mounted lenses. I have a huge Konica zoom coming, big and bad as Davids beard and will have to mount it to my FS700. Back to topic, sorry for chatting, me bad lad. Umm, yeah that mirror is indeed spiffy. How about a FF 35mm equivalent, 24 in S35, 25 on mft, set to f11. DOV calculator could be showing solution for all VLogger problems. Btw, thanks, Emanuel, your are very kind.

Only in some of these awesome cinematic masterpieces from Japan, fortunately. Is it implications or is it consideration of health you are communicating? Nevertheless, my best assumptions about your intentions:)

Highly contradictory reviews on EOS R6 overheating limitation
PannySVHS replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
The representative states it wont overheat in 4k 24p. How about 25 and 30p? Will it be as nicely resolving as the 1 to 1 readout of the C300mk2 or will it look like lower resolution upscaled to 4K? Hopefully he didnt mean to imply my first question and other considerations. -
Highly contradictory reviews on EOS R6 overheating limitation
PannySVHS replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Pixelbinned 4k can look impressive. That 120p 4k material from the R5 of the woman at the beach in Vietnam looks rather mushy to me. People who responded to my post didnt seem to agree. Some wrote, looks like epic red epic. To me it looked mushy. After conversion to Prores422 I gave it a run in Davinci. Colours responded nicely. But it didnt look higher resolving than HD to me. People on the forum recognized the smoothness of red dragons. I saw HD of the old C300mk1 days. So, nice pixelbinned 4K would look different. 4k from the 1 to 1 readout of the c300mk2 looks very nice. Test material of the R5 with 120p4k looks not like 4k to me. Maybe they can roll the release back and built a better body. They should, then they will earn and deserve customer appreciation. -
You might wanna try the Fujinon 12.5mm 1.4. That beauty covers S16 mode of the GH5, which the 1.4x crop is. It almost covers 4K area of the GX85. Just sayin, because I see a bit of vignetting in the S16 mode. I bought that lens after Glenns recommendation. @mercer
