Thanks, I thought that I had seen OM log in the EM5iii's specs somewhere but I was mistaken. The 5 does have a "high speed movie" 120 in 1920, though. Is that different from the regular 120 of the 1? Yeah, it's mainly the smaller footprint. But the price is also a bit irritating, 1799 is more than the X-T3/4 and in the range of a few full frame options. Of course, the small footprint is out the window with those. I recently sent back the Sigma FP. Using the little 45mm and a couple M lenses, I loved the photo IQ and the footprint but it lacked in just about every other area.

Same here. If it's important enough to monitor, I'm using an external recorder and monitoring that.

Same with the em1 mark iii. It has some nice features but it doesn't have anything that justifies $100 more than the rumored price of the x-t4.

Are there any real differences between the video capabilities of the 1miii and the 5miii? Looking at the spec sheets at B&H and the Olympus site, they look pretty much the same, including 422 8bit external. I know there has been talk in the thread about the 1miii possibly outputting 10bit but I couldn't find it on a spec sheet. Has this been confirmed?

Bite your tongue, young man! I think it's only gotten better since you know who was choppered away. Yeah, those church scenes were amazing. But if the whole thing has been shot on an Alexa, I don't know what happened. Maybe Gimple replaced the DP and editors too.

I didn't know about them shooting Walking Dead on S16 but, since you mention it, I wonder if they shot the first 3 season's of Fear the same way. Fear started out a little slow but by season 3 was getting good and looked as good as TWD. Then they changed showrunners, the writers and at least half of the cast in season 4. They added more recognizable names to the cast which probably hurt the production budget and might have played a part in a camera switch because the look of the show changed and over time they implemented a really washed-out not very filmic looking grade. The worst part is that the writing really took a nose-dive that season and hadn't recovered by the first few episodes of season 5 which was when I quit watching. The sad part (for me) is that I like Lennie James, Garret Dillahunt and Maggie Grace but the stories went from being pretty much on par with the original show to more of a Z Nation level.

They really need something like Leica's evf for the TL series but at the Sigma LVF-11 price point.

Great looking video. Any idea what lenses they used? Didn't see any mention of them in the BTS or in the comments. Seems like Olynpus would want to pitch the lenses among with the camera.
