Yeah looking more into a batterybank solution if it can give 7.2V output. Otherwise the core swx edge is a fine alternative (a bit on the big and heavy side), but easy to mount + you can power camera's with it.

Hello, I am looking for a Nucleus-n battery solution that I can use on dslr/mirrorless type camera's to control the motor. So no Vlock as I like to keep the size limited for travelling, otherwise I will just go with bigger camera's and use the vlock instead. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Looks pretty good indeed! but I still find their is too much detail/sharpness/resolution in the skin. Well its just a personal opinion and I even see this in hollywood movies, but when I see pores and the actual make up details it takes me out of it. I feel when the image is too clear, I notice these skin flaws, and usually when I watch movies these actors/actresses looked amazing in the past, like something unreachable ,you cannot achieve. And when the image is so clear, they look like Jenny from the block nextdoor, nothing special. And you would think that with all these details, they look more real, and you would feel even more emotion, but for me it is the exact opposite. I care less and less about them, not sure why though as I love underdog stories.

Even the light dome is too small for really soft light, well depends offcourse on what the subject is and how close you can move it in.

Yeah pretty nice, looks like the nicest image of the current mirrorless/dslr supply atm. Allthough external RAW on a external monitor to prores raw which isnt supported in davinci resolve is quite the dealbreaker for me. No point in recording raw If I cant use it. So hopefully BM will pick prores raw up pretty soon, otherwise I cant even consider this camera. Lets see what the A7S III will do, but 1DXIII and RED komodo already have my attention.

I see a lot of downvotes on my post Allthough no response from those who did, are you guys not having any issues using adapters or are you responding from a theoretical pov? EF to RF adapter may be smooth as its canon to canon tech though.

Using adapters sucks though(unless they are fully manual lenses, metabones, kipon, viltrox they all are a hassle to work with jitter, AF, aputure control,...). I much prefer native lenses this is why i like the EF mount, as most glass have a EF version anyway. I havent seen any worthwhile glass that is only available on mft/E mount.

The IQ of run and gun event type shooting usually does not require that much. So I guess a gh5 would also be sufficient and would save you some money. Well that might be my plan. Still not sure what camera to get next (waiting on the new 1dx iii and red komodo first)

So if you work with these, you would get the same(similar) starting point as alexa footage(without the DR)? But if you throw in some Alexa luts afterwards will they clip on the pocket 4K?

Not sure why you would still want a scarlet mx though, I would rather shoot ump then scarlet mx on any day.

Yeah exactly, if the price is right I might get one too. Just the name RED gets you hired more then using canon/panasonic/sony/blackmagic. And I would not mind that highlight rolloff and the well known colour science/image.

This one doesnt have a great look imo. Also a 1.33 doesnt really stand out for me.

Well as long resolve does not support it, its kinda useless anyway for those on Resolve. And at this point I am waiting eagerly on that 1Dx III sample footage.

Yeah I dont mind a bigger body as the A7S is really petite. But I do want to wait and see what Sony will bring. But offcourse there is always something better around the corner, and you could wait forever. I dont really like using adapters though, I am a EF lover

Sony should drop the A7S iii soon, as we got a lot of options right now for FF hybrids. 1Dx III, S1H, SL2, Z6. And if they are smart they would open preorders before the end of the year, for all the companies who need to make some expenses at the end of the year.

yeah gotta admit, that is one sexy camera.

It looks like it still will take a couple of years before the smartphones will get similar IQ. But what is interesting though that the colors are really saturated on the iphone except the skintones, and the pocket camera its the opposite, the skintones are saturated and the rest is low on saturation.

Hello, I read that you could power the nucleus n from a ronin S, supplying it with more power so it has more grip(torque). Does anybody know what cable I need for that? Thanks!

Hello guys, Small question is there a way to keep the ronin S at horizon level at all times? Even when holding the trigger and making turns the horizon drifts off slightly to the left or right. Balance test is excellent in all directions btw. So im guessing it should be some kind of setting, as when one is moving a single hand gymbal around surely it is normal to move it an awkward position making it drift. But surely there is an option to keep it horizon level? If so, how do I do it? Thanks!
